The Charlie hate is extremely over exaggerated, I can’t stand how unreasonable and vitriolic people are when it comes to mindless defending and worshipping Ian now. Also dismissing and putting down Charlie for his race or doing that to anyone who disagrees with you makes you look like an idiot, the very thing you think you’re fighting against. Discriminating people for their race unironically because they give a reasonable/different outlook is plain ignorant and stupid.
Both Charlie and Muta imo I share the same feelings with and gave the most reasonable opinions. And Emp raised a good point I hope Charlie soon realizes, Ian deliberately lied about Froggy and now he’s been falsely labeled as a sexist nazi and dumb stuff like that for no real reason. Even Muta said he was going to cover Froggy’s legal fees after Ian and Anisa threatened to sue him into silence. Charlie should be made aware of that because it makes Ians video seem even more disingenuous and will show him Ians blatant hypocrisy. Also for practically fat shaming Boogie and Wings also isn’t a good look either.
Ian and Anisa both come off as self centered and only want to be surrounded by a bubbled hive mind, its important not only as content creators but as adults to be able to handle criticism and take in thoughts/opinions from other people different than you. Colossal made a very genuine offer to Ian but I don’t see him taking up on it. Especially if you’re a public figure you need to be able to handle criticism, they have gotten some pretty stupid and over-exaggerated hate on occasion but they also deserve to be called out for being dishonest when it’s rightfully deserved rather than just block away people giving tame/honest criticism.
Never watched Content Cop, like 7 years ago a friend made me watch one of his unboxing vids and I was like “ok cool” and now only hear about him when stuff like this happens lol. @keega3185 Рік тому +1

Okay I like how reasonable you're being but I want to push back a lot on you here. People aren't bringing up charlie's race to dismiss him just inherently as a thing of discrimination, but to show that because in his video charlie is essentially saying what Ian did "wasn't a big deal", bringing up charlie's race is relevant because in their views, charlie can't really grasp just how big of a deal Idubbzs effect was due to him not being of a effected minority group from the hypothetical damage Idubbz caused. To be of a race or ethnicity NOT affected by the again HYPOTHETICAL damage Idubbz caused, you would have to be actively looking for and trying to be aware of that damage, and someone who thinks a situation is "not a big deal" again, paraphrasing charlie's take, would not in any world be looking out for that damage, thus he couldn't know because of his race and his general apathy in ideology towards the plausibility of damage being caused.
I can't really ccomment on the Froggy Fresh stuff, to be honest it's stupid internet drama bullshit that I literally roll my eyes at when I see it, I could not care less.
Ian and Anisa 100% handle criticism and critique, and in Ian's most recent video, all he did was criticize himself. You disagree with the reasonings Ian was critiquing himself, and to make a leap here, it seems from what I can tell you find him self-centered because in his criticism of himself he comes off as "mightier-than-thou" which is totally fair. I just want to point this out because I think this thought from you shows your bias against him. If we are to try and take him in good faith, even though he clearly struggles with his tone and how he comes off, isn't it a virtue that he's, even if you disagree, trying his best to be a good person?
You should really go watch those Content Cops back with a clear, unbiased mind. Take a step out of your own perspective, and try and watch those videos with the idea in the back of your head: "Can this rhetoric cause damage?" Whatever that damage may be: "Can this content make his at the time young impressionable audience actually interpret and believe these things? Can this content contribute to hurtful stereotypes? If a large enough group, even jokingly, repeats what he is saying, when does it stop becoming a joke?"

If he wants to be himself, then go ahead, do your unboxing videos and playing with Thanos toys, no one is telling him not to. It's obvious he's changed once he started going on h3h3 podcasts and the talk with Padilla, why do you need an apology now? You're trying to make up for your damages and if anyone did receive bullying because of it, Idubbbz is high if he thinks his apology is the thing that will bring them closure.
The dude was racist in 2016 because everyone was racist in 2016. This was a year before Charlottesville, this was the Trump election. Now that those politics aren't profitable anymore, he's changed to the most shallow culturally acceptable politics in an effort to remain relevant (and not banned). I'm confused, Charlie basically said "he may not have intended to hurt people with his past content, but he does acknowledge that it could have hurt people. He has the right to change his content but he shouldn't treat his past fans and content with complete vitriol." How does that make Charlie terrible? It's a reasonable take.

Man those two tweets about apology not accepted and then getting blocked was such a current idubbz move lol. But yea i agree that the apology was years too late if he felt he needed it to, and while im glad? That he says that he wants to move away from it and become better im more interested in the current now and with the entire froggy fresh situation its not looking like he’s change is super positive so i hope he does apologize for that.

"I think I've grown past this content and I don't enjoy making it anymore. It's that simple. The negatives just outweight the positives. Plus, we all know and see that times have changed, I've changed my interests changed, and I do hope my viewers can understand that and try to change with me. If you think that my new content is not up to par for you, that's fine, I just want to thank all of you for sticking with me and helping me to get where I am."
