If you think people are honestly scared of calling out leafy, you're straight delusional, the problem isn't "Leafy" calling people out, it's the follow up his fans bring that cause issues for creators. One big case is the pokimane discord banned word list, the list isn't there for pokimane's weak mind who can't take critism, it's because leafy outright encouraged people to brigade her community and cause issues to it, so the natural step is to get rid of people who ONLY show up to cause problems.

In fairness to him, as shitty of a take he had with this, he's one of the streamers that don't just steal content. He'll react to something, and add well over 30 minutes of his own commentary and opinions about the video. He's not in any way like Pokimane who just sits on her ass and eats food while not contributing anything aside from a cringy forced laugh or some stupid comment. Almost all of Asmon's reaction videos are well over an hour long when the video itself is around the 30 min mark.

I used to be an Asmongold fan, I've been watching the dude since I discovered his videos back in Mists of Pandaria (around 2013) and I thought he was hilarious. Then he started streaming around 2015 I believe and I watched him almost every day, did Ashran and lots of viewer raids with him throughout the end of WoD and almost all of Legion. Then he started to become a fake. Faking his personality, his opinions, his content. He tries so hard to pretend he is this wholesome 30 year old balding man who would never call someone a faggot or the n word, which he has. Or pretend he is some toxic dipshit to his guildies or randoms whenever he isn't streaming. Somebody who didn't vote for Trump (which he did, and will vote for him again). Somebody who clearly doesn't despise the radical left media. All that for the validation of Twitter so he doesn't get cancelled for being "problematic". But his hypocrisy is slowly catching up. I feel like with leafys ban I'm on both sides. I feel like leafy's videos were just to make someone mad which isn't entirely what I like. But I do agree that leafy should have been in the process of strike one strike two strike three then ban.
Most of it was indeed criticism (to me) and other videos were just clickbait to get you to click on them because it had pokimane in the title when the actual video was leafy talking about supply/demand, "what should I eat? I think I"ll get wendy's" etc. I think the only issue I had was the very last video with the 3-4 minutes of animation. Most of it was funny but there was that obvious part that was pretty "uh what" and even then that should've been a takedown at best or at worst a strike.
Criticism is the expression of disapproval of someone or something on the basis of perceived faults or mistakes. Harassment is aggressive pressure or intimidation. What Poki did to ItsaGundum was harrasment, Zack himself has harassed people and Leafy was just shitposting.

Also, in defense of the creators who were demonetized for multiple videos covering Suzy Lu's copyright infringement. They primarily contained valid criticism and opinions of their own, in respect to the situation. The fact they made multiple videos, should not meet the criteria of harassment. Because people have to make a conscious decision to engage with a video via watching or commenting on it.

He shouldn’t get terminated that fast, if yt really wanted to terminate him. They could’ve done that years ago, when his videos had actual real life effects on people. His new videos were tame, even though I find him annoying af lol. He shouldn’t have got terminated or at least that quick, some strikes were at least in order.

Whether or not Leafy deserved the ban isn't important. I believe that his instant de-platforming without any warning or communication on UA-cam's part is the real issue that needs to be looked at. My question would be: "What if we are criticizing the appearance in what they wear? Specifically, in cases where the ill suited wear caused harm to others that would've been preventable." Because, when they say to criticize appearance, it is vague in regards to what is worn and the shape the person is in. In fairness to him, as shitty of a take he had with this, he's one of the streamers that don't just steal content. He'll react to something, and add well over 30 minutes of his own commentary and opinions about the video. He's not in any way like Pokimane who just sits on her ass and eats food while not contributing anything aside from a cringy forced laugh or some stupid comment. Almost all of Asmon's reaction videos are well over an hour long when the video itself is around the 30 min mark.

I used to be an Asmongold fan, I've been watching the dude since I discovered his videos back in Mists of Pandaria (around 2013) and I thought he was hilarious. Then he started streaming around 2015 I believe and I watched him almost every day, did Ashran and lots of viewer raids with him throughout the end of WoD and almost all of Legion. Then he started to become a fake. Faking his personality, his opinions, his content. He tries so hard to pretend he is this wholesome 30 year old balding man who would never call someone a faggot or the n word, which he has. Or pretend he is some toxic dipshit to his guildies or randoms whenever he isn't streaming. Somebody who didn't vote for Trump (which he did, and will vote for him again). Somebody who clearly doesn't despise the radical left media. All that for the validation of Twitter so he doesn't get cancelled for being "problematic". But his hypocrisy is slowly catching up.

It might also smell of higher level twitch streamers to not only avoid disrespecting other streamers, but actively being pushed to defend them. Unfortunately I doubt we'll ever know the true reason for as long as he remains on Twitch, as the creators there tend to conveniently avoid trashing their platform. Regardless, I hope he goes back to just playing WoW and avoids chiming in on drama like this, as he clearly tosses his logic (which is usually very sound and reasonable) in the air to defend Twitch and any actions which benefit it.

I feel like with leafys ban I'm on both sides. I feel like leafy's videos were just to make someone mad which isn't entirely what I like. But I do agree that leafy should have been in the process of strike one strike two strike three then ban.
Most of it was indeed criticism (to me) and other videos were just clickbait to get you to click on them because it had pokimane in the title when the actual video was leafy talking about supply/demand, "what should I eat? I think I"ll get wendy's" etc.
I think the only issue I had was the very last video with the 3-4 minutes of animation. Most of it was funny but there was that obvious part that was pretty "uh what" and even then that should've been a takedown at best or at worst a strike.

It's in response to asmongold's stance on criticism and harassment not in relation to leafy being banned. I am speaking more in the sense of Gundam's video. Also, in defense of the creators who were demonetized for multiple videos covering Suzy Lu's copyright infringement. They primarily contained valid criticism and opinions of their own, in respect to the situation. The fact they made multiple videos, should not meet the criteria of harassment. Because people have to make a conscious decision to engage with a video via watching or commenting on it.
