    I found it. Nicely done Bro.
    I’ve also used a small rudder and attached my swivel and weight to the bottom hole on the rudder.
    Bury the steel!

    Ford Fenders are great when trolling lakes for trout species. You can trail almost anything behind them including worms! It will become a permanant part of your tackle box. Enjoy!

    Love the videos! Lived in Tahoe my whole life but never really got into fishing until this last summer. (Looking for some safer activities with a long list of skiing injuries). Would love to see any videos with tips for shore fishing since lots of us don’t have boats. I like that you talk a little more conservation in your videos also. I want to keep some of my catch for sure but also want to be respectful of fish that are too big/too small, or time of season and such. Being new to fishing I find it hard to find this information.
    Keep up the videos it’s great marketing! Might have to book a charter come summer time. 🍻

    Prefer to switch all treble hooks out for a single siwash. Makes it so much easier to release the fish. Doesn't seem to effect the action of the lure.

      @@troutslayerguide Attach the hook to a swivel, then use a split ring to attach the hook/swivel to the lure. Works on plugs as well as spoons.

    Really enjoying your videos! I am a recent subscriber. I found you when I was searching for kokanee videos on how to rig for fishing with no downrigger.
    Your set up is the simplest, and (judging by your fishing videos) the most effective that I have found! The only other video I found that made sense uses a red plastic clip that clips to the line, onto which the weight ball is directly attached (with no dropper)
    Question for you, that I hope is not too stupid....
    Why not clip the weight directly onto the "bottom/lower" swivel clip, instead of dropping/hanging it off of a leader? Seems like it would be easier, and also maybe reduce the risk of tangles...
    I ask this question with the utmost respect and curiosity!
    Thank you!!
    P.S. Do you have any tips for how to land a fish when fishing alone, without a buddy to net for you? With that long of a rig, and all the hardware so far up the line, I'm afraid I won't be able to reel up far enough to net it myself, and I don't want to grab the line....
    Thanks!

      I am glad you liked the fishing video! the reason why I use a barrel swivel is to prevent the line from twisting and with the dropper weight I use it that way of I am fishing close to the bottom (15-20ft of water) because I can tell when the weight hits first when trolling along. I think it reduces snags as well. If you are fishing with your self short your sections so when you get to the end you'll have enough room to swing the fish close with your rod. I would keep my sections to max of (3ft) from the weight to the sling blade and maybe (12in to 16in) for your leader after the sling blade.

      @@troutslayerguide I figured you had a good reason, and I was right! Good reasoning. And good to know I can shorten up my sections and still be effective.
      You and your buddies sure do know how to have a good time, and your multiple point of view camera shots really make the viewer feel like they are on the boat with you. Very fun to watch! Keep up the great work, and keep the videos coming!

    Cool vid.. thanks for the link to this.. very informative. Couple questions.. is dropper better then inline sinker or is that just ur confidence thing.. second.. bruh.. what did you hit. Prop looked like it took a little beating.. is there rock piles or island out in middle running?

    • @troutslayerguide
      @troutslayerguide  3 роки тому +1

      No I prefer the dropper style. It seems to allow the lure more action and troll better. No it was really windy that day with 3 foot swells trying to get the boat on the trailer. If its windy get off.

    Curious when troll with that set up does your weight 6-8 inches down get tangled or twisted on your main line? Thanks.

    • @troutslayerguide
      @troutslayerguide  3 роки тому

      The three way swivel will help prevent the line from twisting up.

    • @troutslayerguide
      @troutslayerguide  3 роки тому

      It rarely tangles up unless you turn very sharp

  • @reece4731
    @reece4731 3 роки тому

    Why not use braid for your main line it lasts about 1-3 years just a little more expensive though depends on the company but generally $15-$25 for a 300 yards spool and since it’s thinner line you can really fill your reels up and maybe try running 12-15lb Flourocarbon for the leaders because its invisible in the water
