Finally, FIIIIINALLY an ACTUAL newbie guide that teaches you what you ACTUALLY need to do as a newbie to tekken and not instantly getting into frame data and all this crazy stuff. Thank you.
First Tekken for me since tag 1 when I was a kid. I’ve watched a handful of beginner tutorials and this was by far my favorite. Extremely well organized and delivered. You also mentioned button mapping which I’ve never heard of before so excited to try that out! Keep up the good work man!
I’m a brand new Tekken player because half my family plays Tekken lol. This guide, your well organized, well explained guide is excellent and appreciated. Especially since you’re straight to the point and no annoying gimmicky script. Thank you! And I’m now subscribed to this channel. I look forward to watching more videos.
I've dabbled in like 2 fighting games over 30 years of living. So, pretty much coming in knowing nothing, this video was the best at TRANSLATING so that I may better understand all things tekken from this point forward as well as tips to get me started. Great video bro! Thank you! 🙏 I've watched several videos and this one should be everyone's first video who's truly new to Tekken.
Just learning the game and this was by far one of the best formatted and explained tutorials out there. Seen so many other ones where they’re either too basic or they’re just not explaining concepts well at all. Good shit my man!
I’m a returning player from Tekken 6. I played a little 7 but never fully committed and I’m all in on 8 right now. Thank you so much for this as it helped me refresh a lot of what I forgot from this series. Haven’t religiously played a Tekken game since 5 and fighting games in general since Injustice 2.
Always wanted to get into Tekken again (my reflexes are too slow for competitive gaming though lmao) and honestly I found my main pretty quickly in Hwoarang since I enjoy and used to practice Tae Kwon Do. I find that my friends who have practiced certain martial arts are pretty quick on who they pick!
Thanks for the great information. I would love to see a guide on how to learn a character from the beginning. What's the best way? Learning one combo over and over in practice mode? Playing against CPU? Writing the moves down? I've never seen it revealed how one begins with a character from start to finish.
Sick video man. I'm an "above-casual" level, mainly playing T7. T8 feels like a whole new game, which is awesome, but I got some learning to do so this really helps!
I’ve been getting molly whopped 😂 i win some games but i absolutely wanna get better cause i never played a tekken serious before but man them button tips make so much sense im definitely gone be in the lab to try them out… this game is an absolute refresher from mk1 and im enjoying it fully ive been maining zafina and law and makes it so much fun
Nice guide, my friend! I am relatively new to tekken aside from button mashing as a kid on tekken 1-3. I never even thought about the arcade mode to get the basics.
been watchin you since you attempted fighting the uphill battle that is NinjaKilla in MK11 to see your growth and moving on to other fighting games is awesome man. as someone who's been playing fighting games for almost 3 decades, there's still stuff i'm learning from your videos. keep it up man.
I learned some stuff even coming from some Tekken 7 but for a new player guide the only other thing I would add is options to get up. Lets face it a lot of us newer players are going to be calling the ground our home for a while so its nice to mention the 6 or more different ways to get back up into the fight. Great video!
Hard to deal with the second main series game in a row without Bruce...but T8 is so good that I can't complain. I'm just hoping he gets that Glass Shatter moment and he walk up to the ring a lil late but all the better for it
I picked up Tekken 7 late in it's life cycle and practiced for maybe a couple weeks and lost horribly both offline and online, so I dropped it and just watched others enjoy it. But now that Tekken 8 is out I think I wanna try to learn again, so I can really try to enjoy the experience, great video, I will use it when I have the game in my hands!
I just started and i was trying to find guide for noobies but everybodyu keeps talking in code and this is the first guide i've found that explains the code XD
Brother! I am Vanquisher rank and i learned lot of new stuff with your video. Thank you so much. Also great rythm of speech, i understood everything really well! Keep up the good work
Hadn't played a fighting game in over a decade until MK1 recently. Hit elder god p easy and found it fun, thought about testing my chops in other games but 3D fighters was never my thing. This looks interesting though... gonna keep tabs on your vids and see if i'm convinced to cop it.
Thanks for the vid. First Tekken game and I’m an nrs guy but Tekken actually seems like a complete game at release and I’d do myself a disservice not giving this a shot
I'm already a longtime Tekken player and veteran, but the gameplay of Tekken 8 still feels different; even if I've been playing the Tekken series since Tekken 3 times. Will you please make guide videos to how to play as Leo and Reina, please? These two characters became my new main characters. I'm usually having another main character, but unfortunately Julia still wasn't announced yet.
Was just playing the game and you popped up at the top of my recommended feed. LETS GOOOOOOOO. I def need the tips because yeah … I’m ass. I mean I’m new to the game but I’m ass… I DONT LIKE THAT lol
Great video man! Been watching a bunch of videos as I'm new to the series, but you definitely put things into perspective for someone like me. Thanks so much!
For me first, go practice move list, do many as you can, then try sample combo for offense and get experience how your character. After that just put hard cpu while trying to do combo. Then look up UA-cam combo videos about your character. Also learn the basic to be effective player. You don’t need fancy combo to win in beginner rank and will help you in higher rank
If you are not playing Mishima because its not cool its fine but if you say "ITS HARD.." bro, learn the hardest character and become the hardest opponent and BECOME THE COOLEST
Thanks, I keep gettign owned in vs matches, maybe this will help, I think I need to slow down and just work on the basics, I did all the Arcade quests and super ghost battles without any tutorials and can win super ghost battles against highest level ghosts, but online matches are a different story it seems, lol
Great Video right now i dont find the time really to bumop hours into this game but once i do i want to be good! even tho its kinda hard to get into ngl
Thanks 4 this tutorial bro. I really like how u explain everything, break it down, and give fighting tips as well. The explanation of everything is clear and well put 2gether. Getting the game as I type and watch your tutorial 💯🫡
I can honestly say I never played tekken until 7 I bought it and gave up on it bc I just didn’t understand nothing about the game tekken 8 is really good for beginners that world tour mode helped me so much…I really wish they would’ve put in 7
I've been playing only NRS fighting games since Mortal Kombat X, just jumped into Tekken 8 today because MK 1 sucks balls. This video was really helpful, thank you!
Great Video, haven’t played since tekken 5 so needed that. Do I need to join PlayStation plus to play others online?? Can you help me with that thanks. Also in tekken 5 we were able to play Vs and select 8 players each. Is this a mode still available do you know?
I’m not in love with mk1 or sf6. Im interested in playing Tekken but found tekken 7 extremely difficult to learn. I want to learn Hwoarang with t8, what’s your thoughts on his difficulty level? Worth buying t8?
I don’t usually comment but this content creator has a great personality. I like this guy and look forward to seeing him elevate.
Thanks a lot for such a nice compliment. I really appreciate this 🫡🙏🏾
yes. he is cool, sympathetic and competent. greetings from germany!
Is this his mom? 😏
Yes ☺️

Thanks alot my man, I try to make it understandable as possible while being thorough, so im glad to hear its being received as intended
Just learning the game and this was by far one of the best formatted and explained tutorials out there. Seen so many other ones where they’re either too basic or they’re just not explaining concepts well at all. Good shit my man!
Thanks fam, glad to help!

Thats crazy but makes sense, the styles are extremely detailed and realistic
Hands down the best beginner guide out so far. Thank you bro, please keep making more beginner stuff, this helped so much.
Glad to hear it 🫡💪🏾
I love how much this video popped off! Congrats Lou you deserve this success so much!
Tekken newb here. Great content! Didn’t know I could map buttons for these hard ass combos! Liked and subbed! 🍻🍻
Finally someone who explains the control settings. The game is so much easier when you map the buttons.
🫡🫡🤝🏾
I FLIPPIN LOVE YOU. I didn't know you can have 2 buttons maped to 1 button or even a trigger
SAME! This changes everything honestly!
Good video; really struck that rare balance between being too simple and overwhelming someone with a ton of fighting game community verbiage.
Yessir its a grind but an enjoyable one as you learn
@@LouStreets yes bro i been in the lab after i switched a few inputs and stuff and man it’s definitely been a game changer big thanks for help man frl
Nice guide, my friend! I am relatively new to tekken aside from button mashing as a kid on tekken 1-3. I never even thought about the arcade mode to get the basics.
Great job breaking down each category.
The tornado move is a good thing to know
I enjoyed watching this, the editing was superb 🤙
My man 🫡🫡💪🏾
I'm new to tekken and after playing for a couple hours, it feels so much better than mk1. Faster and more visually appealing
been watchin you since you attempted fighting the uphill battle that is NinjaKilla in MK11
to see your growth and moving on to other fighting games is awesome man.
as someone who's been playing fighting games for almost 3 decades, there's still stuff i'm learning from your videos.
keep it up man.
Thanks a lot of my boy! I just hit him up recently we gonna try to make that happen again 🫡🫡 appreciate your support

This is the video that I needed. As a total noob to fighting games, this was tremendously helpful. Thanks for making this video
been having alot of fun with arcade mode as a new player
🔥🔥
Im not a beginner but i do love watching these guides to see if anyone has any info i might have not known
Thanks man! I'm a new player, finally jumping into Tekken. There is a learning curve! Thank you!!!
Yessir, glad to hear it!

Very layered but very very fun
Very helpful tips. Im new to Tekken and am currently trying out Reina, but im still in the exploration phase of looking for my main character.
Keep up the good work
Great video! I really needed this to get back into the series with these updates.
This my first tekken been running Jin was getting smoked online but getting better definitely going to play with mapping buttons tonight
Definitely! You will in due time

Very informative and easy to understand. Easy subscribe.
Glad to hear it, welcome to the channel as well!
Thanks for the breakdown. Definitely want to see a part 2 for this if you ever get a chance
Yeah I’ll def be making a few more tutorials for this game
Thanks for the vid. First Tekken game and I’m an nrs guy but Tekken actually seems like a complete game at release and I’d do myself a disservice not giving this a shot
Great video! Super helpful. I wish I had known to go into the arcade mode sooner. It's an absolute must for new Tekken players.
Thanks for that beginner guide! It helped a lot!!!
I've been out since Tekken 4 or so and this made me actually start playing way way better.
Awesome tutorial man. Well done
Yooo I love you guys content! 🔥🔥🔥

I will deff try to, i will have to learn more about those characters in due time
@@LouStreets Thank you already very much in advance, bro. 😃
This is my first fighting game I’ve ever decided to play. Let’s just say I was overwhelmed in the amount of controls and moves there is.
Great video! I sent it to my homie who's getting in to T8 for the first time it really got him comfortable with the basics
Easy sub! 💪🏾
Was just playing the game and you popped up at the top of my recommended feed. LETS GOOOOOOOO. I def need the tips because yeah … I’m ass. I mean I’m new to the game but I’m ass… I DONT LIKE THAT lol
The journey is the fun
For someone new to the series I had trouble learning how the strings work and the tempo you press buttons.
Thank you for this 💯. Easy to understand and comprehensive. I subscribed immediately. 👏🏼
Great video man! Been watching a bunch of videos as I'm new to the series, but you definitely put things into perspective for someone like me. Thanks so much!
your guides and combo videos are always great. You Break things down in a way that’s so easy to understand. Thank you bro! 🙏🏽
Nice video, brotha. Some of my friends are talking me into getting this. I might have to try it out.
Great video! Very welcoming to newcomers.

Great stuff
Nice work! Learned some good stuff. Any recommendations for Steve players to learn from?
I havent seen any notable player that mains him competitively yet but im certain there are combo and strategy guides out there for him
Excellent video mate, can u do a video on King please 🙏??
Thanks.
Thanks for this!
Thanks for watching 🫡
I can honestly say I never played tekken until 7 I bought it and gave up on it bc I just didn’t understand nothing about the game tekken 8 is really good for beginners that world tour mode helped me so much…I really wish they would’ve put in 7
Nice details!
I've been playing only NRS fighting games since Mortal Kombat X, just jumped into Tekken 8 today because MK 1 sucks balls. This video was really helpful, thank you!
Amazing video thanks mate
Hell I wish I would’ve found this during tekken 7 I didn’t know how to extend combos until now😂
Finally someone who pronounces Feng's name right
I took Chinese in college, while I don’t remember most of it I do remember some of the sounds vowels make in it like eng being pronounced “ung”
Good video thank you
thank you for watching
Spend about an hour in practice mode doing every move in a characters list and it'll give you a "feel" for said character.
Do you use d pad or analog? And which is best for this game?
Great Video, haven’t played since tekken 5 so needed that.
Do I need to join PlayStation plus to play others online?? Can you help me with that thanks. Also in tekken 5 we were able to play Vs and select 8 players each. Is this a mode still available do you know?
For me i always play with 12 abd then invert 3 4, ot was a mistake i made in tekken 7 when playing feng it felt a bit more natural
Hey man, I know you're an MK head the same as myself. Would you recommend T8 for someone who has never played?
I’m not in love with mk1 or sf6. Im interested in playing Tekken but found tekken 7 extremely difficult to learn. I want to learn Hwoarang with t8, what’s your thoughts on his difficulty level? Worth buying t8?
fighting game of the year hands down, everyone will be tough to master but fun as hell
