Might have to pull the tape to be tighter. Otherwise it’s the angle at which you’re wrapping. Those definitely aren’t end all be all solutions. Just have to keep doing it/practicing to get it right for how you want it
Yes, I’ve tried the .05 mm. It’s very similar to just athletic tape in regards to thickness. The 1.1 mm will give you a little bit of cushion, but not a ton. It all just depends on what you prefer. .05mm wears out faster.
Most league rules allow players to add up to 18 inches of pine tar to aid in grip. So I would assume that bat grip like lizardskins would fall under the same rules as pine tar.

A tip i would give for people doing this for the first time is to do it once or twice without removing the paper that makes it sticky.

If you're asking about the grip, no, it's not custom. You can buy it from LizardSkins. They have grips for all major league teams.
