My 7 yr old watches your videos on the way to a game. It gets him in the zone and focused on the area you talk about in your videos. Great Job!
I dont think thats a good idea...
Doingn it right before a game isn't smart. You should work on it during practice that way its natural during a game and all you have to think is, ''hit a nuke.''
I just want to say since I've started watching some of your videos my game has improved. I wasn't allowed to play sports as a kid so I missed out on a lot of the fundamentals. Thank you for putting these out.
Hey Justin could you make a video about arm care, arm pain, and throwing technique. Also explain the scap load. Thanks!! Your videos are awesome!!
Thanks bro! I just hit my first HR!
Luis Ordaz congratulations!
3 years later I hope you still hitting bombs
IMO this video is spot on.. a little long but hang tight and listen. I have a lot of my kids that are doing ALL the wrong things and none of them want to change. Granted they are only 10 but I get the deer caught in the headlight look every time I try telling them to stop casting and for god sake LOAD YOUR HANDS. This simple tool as I call it worked this past weekend for kids who wouldn't load.. finally they did and at least put the bat on the ball. THANK YOU JUSTIN.
I know how you feel.I keep trying to teach my 8u team how to hit right..just gotta stay patient
this is my opinion but Justin, I think you should do some review of bats and baseball equipment because this is my first year playing baseball and I really don't know what products are really worth it. Just maybe a consideration
Edgard Meza all preference, if I were to spend my money anywhere I'm spending it on a good glove. I have a custom Rawlings and a custom 44 glove. Pretty damn good, and that's where you should start tbh.
Equipment episode would be dope but how does he remain unbiased if for say he's only bought Nike his whole life? Or Rawlins, Mizuno etc.
Edgard Meza hey if you want a good non expensive glove get a Rawlings gold glove I have an Wilson a2000 but for your first year you don't need such a expensive glove bats depending on what league your in marucci cat 6/7 is a very good option same with the Demarini voodoo
Can you please make a video on how to cut or shorten your swing. My school team is on the verge of making the playoffs and I don't want to carry on with this flaw and potentially mess up/strikeout on some big at-bats because of my long swing. Please, and thank you.
This is awesome. You explain these things in a way my son can really understand and relate to. So helpful. Thank you!
Excellent advice. Thank you very much.
I been with u for a long time man keep it up bro fr ‼️
Dude, great advice. Thanks for the vid.
Great stuff coach, im learning alot from your wisdom! What is the proper way to break in or soften up the baseball glove?
Great video. Covers everything i needed.
Awesome stuff man. Steve Springer always talks about hitting the inside part of the baseball in his Quality At Bats audio tapes. Those tapes really helped me out, all players should check them out.
Thanks Justin! I have a game tomorrow and I haven't been batting well lately, but after watching this video I realized that I am doing a lot of these flaws. Now I feel a lot more prepared for my game tomorrow. Thanks!!
How did you do in your game?
I have a long swing and this video is great thx for the help with batting. For weeks I have been looking for a good video and this is the best one so far
Great video Justin - I think you have one or two where you talk about the footwork in swinging - in particular I'm looking for the video where you discourage "squish the bug". Do you know what one I'm talking about? Thanks!
Good stuff!
I found that guys who slumped were relying on the ump calls too much and called out on close pitches. Hittable ball, freakin' hit it!
Agree completely!
Stay connected and drive through the ball. Awesome!
Great video man
thumbs up thanks for the vid
We appreciate your videos!!! my 12 year old grandson has been playing since he was 4 years old. He's learned pretty much all what your saying in your videos. He will be playing next year with his Middle School and these are very good pointers for him to be the best he can be... Thanks so much
+debbie Cromer Great to hear! Thank you so much! Tell him to keep working hard.. and welcome to the family!
Thank you! He's a determined young man, in my opinion I see a wealth of potential. Thanks to you and your videos.
great video man
Staying connected.
What about grip on bat? I know a lot of people have the bat to deep in the hand, it's supposed to be in the fingers, perhaps you already have a video on that, I will have to look. another great lesson.
Justin, Tony Gwynn said before he passed is "the ONLY thing to remember is to throw the knob at the ball. All other things will fall in place." I think you initially throw the knob at the ball and then the barrel and implement everything else you said.
Psh, what did Tony Gwynn know??
Hey Coach. This video is older but I love it. We have seen almost all your videos. One question that just came up from someone else was the term "Pull Back". We have your Bat Speed Accelerator program and we have learned to "walk away from our hands". What do you think about this "Pull Back" approach?
Do you go to ASU
This is too great because it help all my player to a great batting😊😊
arm wrestling mechanics... cool illustration... it did helped us to understand exactly why we should keep body compact
I'd love for you to touch on what to so in the off-season. I'm in PA and due to some bad weather its hard to find things for my boys to do baseball wise. My oldest is 9 and loves the game. If you could pass along anything to so during the off-season that would be great.
Hey man thanks for what you did. I cant wait to show my son this.
You're welcome! What other videos would you like to see in the future?
Great vid, I definitely learned a lot! Just a quick note that you probably have lots of gals coming here, not just guys.
Gems. I subscribed off this video alone
500th like and do a equipment review
do these Technics apply on softball?
caparzzo absolutely. I've been playing softball for a long time and all fielding and hitting mechanics I've used from these videos have worked very well
Hi Justin can you do a video for coach pitch batting but for a lefty my son is a lefty and he needs alot of work on batting.
Coach Justin, my son (Seth) has started dropping his hands and swinging upwards during his swing. Do you have any drills for this issues?
Hi Bro , My son is leaning in while swinging and is losing all his power . He can’t finish the swing because he wines up being bent over . How can I fix this . Thank you Been a fan for a long time ....
Which is it knocking knuckle alignment or your knocking knuckle aligned with big knuckle
Can u make a video about bunting? Thank you in advance.
So I play 16inch softball and the thing with me is I swing the bat incorrectly. Instead of having the left hand on the bottom and right hand on top I have them switched. And I swing much better like that. Is it okay?
Hey man I play high school baseball and I have a long swing.I need help I can't hit velocity.I need to shorten my swing. Can u help me
5:30
where did you learn all this stuff man
Lots of trial and error with my own playing experience and learning a lot from coaches I've had!
man. my swing has been wrong all these years
I usually have problem with my feet moving to much
Hey justin, what do I do to teach my kid to not be so stiff in the box and loosen up a bit and stay tight and compact ?
highlightplays228 thanks for the advice , he is starting to hit better and is more confident in the box because of it . thanks again
baseball crazy ! How did he get so much better in just 2 hours
fish guy , cause he's amazing !!!
baseball crazy ! Nevermind, I noticed that you were replying to someone else
I have coached both boys and girls at a young age. When a child misses the hit.. most coaches and parents say KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL. cause the child did pull their head. I teach them to tell me where they hit the bat.. After awhile, they let to watch it all the way. Sometimes you can ask them and they will guess where..
I can't hit and never learned how to properly. At 59 years old, I can't break the bad habits I self taught myself. Long swing, can't pull the ball but occasional home runs. More power to right center.
Is that bat broken?
Mental mindset
heh bryce harper....13:25
Keep it simple and don't over analyze it.
You should not have your hands go directly to the ball in a straight line.
