Ay bro I was doing the same thing except I started in June, fast forward to now and I am an official switch hitter. Just takes lots of patience and practice
Great video, and thank you! This will help my son who has been learning to switch hit. He throws R and bats L. Learning to bat from the Right side has been challenging but fun. Your video and workout will help him.
Great vid, i've been switch hitting for about a year and a half, and i recognize everything you said in the video. I try to be in the cage as much as possible and these drills will help me very much i think. Thank you man
Thanks man! This should be super helpful. My dad has always wanted me to switch hit from a young age even though I bat lefty, and I never wanted to try it. But now as I’m progressing as a player and the competition is getting harder, I see the benefits with switch hitting for me, even though I already bat lefty. I’ve been working really hard these past couple months and getting as many reps in as I can. Your guidelines and drills should really help me in progressing my right handed swing, and also continuing to hit from the left side. Thanks again!
I'm picking up switch hitting again, haven't done it since high school, so I'm here for the drills. Trying to play again after a long time away from the game
Awesome video, I’ve wanting to look forward to switch hitting again, I haven’t for a long time. I’m 41 and I feel like these tips can help me get back to it
i’m a natural righty. i used to be very good, but the past 4 years, i’ve sucked righty. i hit the ball hard, but hit way too many ground balls, i don’t even know when my last righty double was. i’m 15 now by the way, and this fall season i am hitting lefty the whole time. no righty at all. and the teams that we play in fall ball are good. it’s not teams with terrible pitchers and hitters like everyone thinks. there’s a lot of highschool players (i’m also a highschool player) on these fall ball teams. anyways, i already have a double, a triple, and about 3 singles. i’m about 5 for 9. i also have a sac fly. i haven’t had many at bats yet, but i’m doing good. batting lefty, my launch angle is much better. that’s the reason i was doing bad righty. i was doing something that caused my launch angle to be bad (i don’t think it was rolling over). but ya cant wait to start switch hitting when high school ball starts
Im practicing this during quarintine Im a natural righty but Im trying lefty and Im not really sure how to have a good swing as a lefty can you please make a video on how to have a good swing
I was always that fat bad player that sucked at everything and wanted to quit but I got mlb the show 16 and I became so in love with baseball and I started hitting lefty with wiffle balls and became skilled at it but my dad would approve so I just kept doing it while I became a great player from the right and now I’m 14 and now have permission to hit lefty and have started hitting at fields and have been hitting homers so now I’m going to the cage to learn to be a better lefty hitter
Hi you probably won’t respond because it’s been 2 years. I have been playing baseball for 6 years just recently switched to softball and I was watching some videos and was questioning what side I bat on I am I right handed thrower and I stand on the right side of the plate. I was just messing around and I was hitting on my left side and I found that it was so much easier to swing and to put my foot up. Should start standing on the left side of the plate as I hit so I am basically saying should I try to become dominant on my other side and how long will it take to get used to my other side
The only reason is cause I want to hit like Jose Ramirez and this happened randomly cause I accidentally picked number 11 and I randomly wanted to be third base which Jose is third base and n.11 and he switch hits
Do you believe as I do? I think Ozzie Albies needs to stop switch hitting . He has left handed power but he’s extremely right hand dominant . He can’t get to a high fastball and can’t lay off it. Rollovers are prevalent, he swings with way to big of an upper cut swing, strikes out too much not to mention pop ups. That being said, I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT he is as good or better right handed hitter than Jose Altuve.
Through my experience in the baseball world, I’ve never heard of anyone being a lefty that learned how to hit righty to hit the limited amount of lefties they face
before quarantine i was only hitting righty, and my goal for next season is to hit from both sides, and this has been lots of fun for me
That’s great!! It really is fun working on a new swing. Probably why I’m so obsessed with Long Drive now
Me too man

I have been hitting switch since 12 but I have up and now I am trying again to hit switch and I am progressing thanks to this video

Great vid
ive been thinking of becoming a switch hitter lately as a natural righty, this video helps a lot
I really appreciate this, I have a spine injury and now I’m forced to change my swing handness
Awesome thank you for the tips, and i’m a switch hitter myself. I was a natural left handed hitter and I taught myself how to be a switch hitter
Awesome video, you should make a video on how to hit like Yoan Moncada next. Keep up the good work!!! 💪🏾
That’s cool I’m working on it. I’m on a travel baseball team and have wanted to become a switch hitter for a while.
Thank you so much this help so much. Keep doing what your doing
I also started wanting to be a switch hitter from Him to. But I started as a lefty
Nice vid I been switch hitter when I was 3
Im practicing this during quarintine Im a natural righty but Im trying lefty and Im not really sure how to have a good swing as a lefty can you please make a video on how to have a good swing
Same and now I am very comfortable on both sides
Could you please make a video explaining how to have a perfect swing? All tips you can add
Melky Cabrera (actually retired) throws left and bats both.

Can you make another video on switch hitting. I enjoyed this video a lot
Great video! Have you thought of switching and just remain staying as left hand hitter only?
Go number 11!
Im a natural lefty hitter but i throw righty so i thought maybe i should try to teach myself to hit righty and throw lefty
Same
Beautiful lefty swing just saying! 💪🏼

How long would say the transition would take for an sophomore right now
I know this is rlly late but it took me about 1season , just when your taking bp, etc. split it in half for both sides
@@cheetowheels257 thanks for the feedback I’m think about doing it this summer
Are the right handed and left handed swings supposed to be different or the same? I ask the same for stance.
How long did it take for you to learn to hit from both sides?
i got u to 8k thx for the video
noti gang

I feel like it’s better to start as a lefty then become a righty because it’s harder to hit lefty on lefty
Why does switch hitting help with curve balls?
curves toward u other than away
Hi God bless have a good day

The only reason a lefty would try to hit right is bc they hate facing lefty’s lmao 😂 how did u not think of that 😂
Through my experience in the baseball world, I’ve never heard of anyone being a lefty that learned how to hit righty to hit the limited amount of lefties they face
am i the only lefty that wants to learn to hit righty
I saw a video of this Dominican kid who’s like 13 and he was hitting from both sides
