Jon, this was the first song they released from their upcoming album and it is a masterpiece. They have released two more songs since this but with no music videos. The second is called The Spirit Lives On and is a good solid Lovebites song. The third, Dissonance, is the equal to Judgment Day. I can't decide which one I like better, and I don't guess I really need to. The first time I heard Dissonance, I thought that this a song that Judas Priest wishes they had written. Asami, the vocalist, is the cowriter of both of them. Less than three weeks till the new album and I am counting the days.
My favorite is Judgement Day. I think my second favorite is The Spirit Lives On. I really like Dissonance, but not as much as the other two songs. I am super excited to hear the new album!
Not some many bands out there having a great come back right after their hiatus period. But LOVEBITES did succesfully,. this wasn't just a normal comeback, it's VENGEANCE!!! They even upped their game to the whole new level, the addition Fami as new bassist brought something great to the band. Great band meet great bassist, the future is brighter!!!

Amazing doesn't even begin to explain how I feel about this song, and "Judgement Day" is my favroite song by any band. They came out of hiatus with a BANG!! Asami's voice is the best I've ever heard her. Like you said, right out in front. Haruna's cymbal/china work is ridiculous. Name me a better drummer who can play this fast with all sorts of fills etc. Fami is technical wizard on bass. You could hear her throughout, but man she shone in the solo run. Midori, The Shredded Shredder, is as fast and tight as she's ever been. Miyako said she worked on her speed during hiatus, and it's blatantly obvious she did. I love the darker ominous feel to this song. They have released two audio tracks from the upcoming album. "The Spirit Lives On" - Very strong uplifting power metal centric song. "Dissonance" just got released. It's thrash heaven, on the dark and ominous side. Thrash is my thing and this song delivers. This album should be epic. Cant wait for February 22nd.
When I first heard this song I listened to it non stop every day because it's just so good it's addicting. Then just recently they released a new song called Dissonance and it's basically the more thrashy, brutal version of judgment day and now I can't stop listening to that song. This band is f'n incredible.

Midori the muscular guitarist has during the hiatus the band had spent serious time in the gym and competed in fitness/ bodybuilding competition (s) just before they recorded this video and was top 6 in the last competition if I recall correctly.
Yui Itsuki is the vocalist from the band Yosei Teikoku japanese metal band as well. i love her voice alot also. such a great range so much emotions. its just perfect.
Pay no heed to anyone who says that “The Spirit Lives On” isn’t in the same bracket as “Judgement Day”, or yesterday’s surprise release “Dissonance”. It’s not as instantaneous in its effect on you, but two or three listens in…it’s a fantastic song. I think what happens is that a song that doesn’t grab you by the cojones right away very often doesn’t get replayed as much or as often. The opposite is true for “Judgment Day”. I watched the launch of the song with the band in the chat. And like you I was blown away. Anyone who says that they are a fan of metal and doesn’t react in the way you just did to this song is a liar. You’ve just proved your credentials far more convincingly than a hundred other reactions. My prediction is easy to make. “Judgment Day” will be the “Painkiller” of this millennium.

Back again. This song, no matter how great their other material is, and no matter how many awesome songs I've heard in over 50 years by any band, is my favorite song.....period. There is no better solo run, and Fami makes all the difference in the world. Talent, pure talent.
This was, without a doubt, Lovebites making a great big, in your face, statement! Not only are we back, we're better than ever. They've also released two other songs now without music videos. "The Spirit Lives On" is a good song. Unfortunately, TO ME, it sounds too much like "Nameless Warrior 2.0." "Dissonance", on the other hand, is probably the heaviest and most brutal of any of Lovebites' songs to date. Can't wait to see your reaction to "Dissonance!" I think you're going to love it. The first three songs were written by Asami/Mao, Mao, Asami/Mao. We haven't heard any of the songs yet that Miyako wrote for this album. I just have a feeling that her songs are going to knock our socks off. I'm holding my breath until Feb. 22nd when we can get the whole album.
I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said! Considering that so far, I like the live versions of their songs even better, I can't wait to hear (and see) this song as well as their new Thrash Metal song "Dissonance" being performed live, even if it's only on a DVD. I think it's safe to assume that one of their two shows in Tokyo in March will be recorded for a release on DVD/Bluray later on. They have done this after the release of each of their albums so far and surely won't discontinue this "tradition" now.

No, they never disappoint. The problem is they keep setting the bar higher. At some point, it would seem inevitable that they will fall short of their own standard. But so far, no sign of that happening!

I've listened to this song for I don't know how many times right now, both via the original LOVEBITES channel and via reaction channels like yours here. And I can tell you this, I'm mindblown each time. Really, IMO this is the perfect LOVEBITES song for me, one that I think I will never get tired of listening to. Symphonic metal is amazing. Then again it sort of started in my own country the Netherlands. so i have to have some proud to that haha. but no i like Symphonic metal Symphonic Black metal. it fits well with synths. then again i used to be a Keyboard/Piano player so i still have love for it. Listen to the song Spellbound by lovebites. got a very 80s feeling to it. its a full Synth song played by Miyako ofc. i think you will like that one.
Midori was in the process of cutting for a competition that's why she's extra lean in the video. She doesn't normally have the definition she does here especially since she wants more muscle mass.
Don't know if you've heard yet, but they released a new music video for their song "Stand and Deliver" which is off of their new album. It's another killer track; I heard a little bit of Iron Maiden and Motorhead with a little sprinkling of Judas Priest in it. I'm pretty sure you'll love it too. Btw... I got my copy of their new album and there's not a bad song it; also not a slow song in it. The entire thing is in-your-face, a**-kicking, face-melting metal. They put the pedal down to start the first song, and kept it down for almost an hour. In my opinion, it's the best new metal album in many, many years. Peace!

It's a strange mix of power metal and thrash metal, but so brutal and well done that it makes you want to laugh at how absurdly good it is.

Judgment day is coming in less than 20 days now. This album could broke the music scene in general. Lovebites raises the bar in metal so high that its insane. Love them so much. I totally agree with you about Asami's voice. The thing that wins me over is that she sings like a woman. Rich & thick, with timbre & power. So many other female fronted Japanese bands have singers that have that nasaly whiney sound that makes my back teeth itch. I understand that is a natural cultural thing, but it doesn't gel with me. Asami, and Saiki from Bandmaid, are the voices I love from this genre of music.
Those voices you are referring to is typically what I'm not crazy about. This young lady stands out rather than just going through the motions and fitting in. THIS is an amazing song.

All three tracks off this album are phenomenal. Most people are undecided whether Judgement Day or Dissonance is their favourite, based on their tastes, but The Spirit Lives On is just as good in my opinion. They're all Mao compositions so far, so they're setting a high bar for Miyako to challenge, which has got to be good news.

I've been listening to Metallica pretty much every day since 1984 and have not missed a Metallica show in the Philadelphia area since I first saw them in 1988. So, it's safe to say that they are my all time favorite band. They are a way of life for me. LoveBites is an amazingly takented band and easily the most talented band I've come across since I started this channel. I'm not someone who will call someone better than someone else. It's all a matter of opinion. I will say that their technical proficience is off the charts.

Pay no heed to anyone who says that “The Spirit Lives On” isn’t in the same bracket as “Judgement Day”, or yesterday’s surprise release “Dissonance”. It’s not as instantaneous in its effect on you, but two or three listens in…it’s a fantastic song. I think what happens is that a song that doesn’t grab you by the cojones right away very often doesn’t get replayed as much or as often.
The opposite is true for “Judgment Day”. I watched the launch of the song with the band in the chat. And like you I was blown away. Anyone who says that they are a fan of metal and doesn’t react in the way you just did to this song is a liar. You’ve just proved your credentials far more convincingly than a hundred other reactions. My prediction is easy to make. “Judgment Day” will be the “Painkiller” of this millennium.

This was, without a doubt, Lovebites making a great big, in your face, statement! Not only are we back, we're better than ever. They've also released two other songs now without music videos. "The Spirit Lives On" is a good song. Unfortunately, TO ME, it sounds too much like "Nameless Warrior 2.0." "Dissonance", on the other hand, is probably the heaviest and most brutal of any of Lovebites' songs to date. Can't wait to see your reaction to "Dissonance!" I think you're going to love it. The first three songs were written by Asami/Mao, Mao, Asami/Mao. We haven't heard any of the songs yet that Miyako wrote for this album. I just have a feeling that her songs are going to knock our socks off. I'm holding my breath until Feb. 22nd when we can get the whole album.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said! Considering that so far, I like the live versions of their songs even better, I can't wait to hear (and see) this song as well as their new Thrash Metal song "Dissonance" being performed live, even if it's only on a DVD. I think it's safe to assume that one of their two shows in Tokyo in March will be recorded for a release on DVD/Bluray later on. They have done this after the release of each of their albums so far and surely won't discontinue this "tradition" now.

Best band I’ve ever heard
I've listened to this song for I don't know how many times right now, both via the original LOVEBITES channel and via reaction channels like yours here. And I can tell you this, I'm mindblown each time. Really, IMO this is the perfect LOVEBITES song for me, one that I think I will never get tired of listening to. They have one new song uploaded on their channel called Dissonance. I don't know if there will be an MV for it or not, but you GOTTA react to it. Symphonic metal is amazing. Then again it sort of started in my own country the Netherlands. so i have to have some proud to that haha. but no i like Symphonic metal Symphonic Black metal. it fits well with synths. then again i used to be a Keyboard/Piano player so i still have love for it. Don't know if you've heard yet, but they released a new music video for their song "Stand and Deliver" which is off of their new album. It's another killer track; I heard a little bit of Iron Maiden and Motorhead with a little sprinkling of Judas Priest in it. I'm pretty sure you'll love it too. Btw... I got my copy of their new album and there's not a bad song it; also not a slow song in it. The entire thing is in-your-face, a**-kicking, face-melting metal. They put the pedal down to start the first song, and kept it down for almost an hour. In my opinion, it's the best new metal album in many, many years. Peace!

If this seemed great to you, then wait to hear the song that they released less than a day ago on their official channel. It's quite frankly the most brutal thing I've ever heard from Lovebites. It's a strange mix of power metal and thrash metal, but so brutal and well done that it makes you want to laugh at how absurdly good it is.

Judgment day is coming in less than 20 days now. This album could broke the music scene in general. Lovebites raises the bar in metal so high that its insane. Love them so much. This is real metal, not playing around, just pure fire in all aspects of the genre. As they said themselves back in 2018 i think WE RE NOT HERE TO BE CUTE, WE RE HERE TO BE HEAVY!

I totally agree with you about Asami's voice. The thing that wins me over is that she sings like a woman. Rich & thick, with timbre & power. So many other female fronted Japanese bands have singers that have that nasaly whiney sound that makes my back teeth itch. I understand that is a natural cultural thing, but it doesn't gel with me.
Asami, and Saiki from Bandmaid, are the voices I love from this genre of music.
Those voices you are referring to is typically what I'm not crazy about. This young lady stands out rather than just going through the motions and fitting in. THIS is an amazing song.

All three tracks off this album are phenomenal. Most people are undecided whether Judgement Day or Dissonance is their favourite, based on their tastes, but The Spirit Lives On is just as good in my opinion. They're all Mao compositions so far, so they're setting a high bar for Miyako to challenge, which has got to be good news.

I've been listening to Metallica pretty much every day since 1984 and have not missed a Metallica show in the Philadelphia area since I first saw them in 1988. So, it's safe to say that they are my all time favorite band. They are a way of life for me. LoveBites is an amazingly takented band and easily the most talented band I've come across since I started this channel. I'm not someone who will call someone better than someone else. It's all a matter of opinion. I will say that their technical proficience is off the charts.

Asami, in this video reminds me of Miku, from Band Maid in their video for Don't Let Me down. They are both are running for some reason but it is not apparent what. A mildly amusing thing for me is I imagine they are running from all the fifty something blokes who made up a good proportion of their early fan base. 😀

Here's a couple other Asian bands you might like. From from Korea rolling quarts and my two favorite songs azalea and holler. And lonesome Blue from Japan and their song face the fear the little bit of pop rock but it's pretty good I like it a lot
