I had the great honor of watching André Matos sing live. He was an outstanding performer - like nothing I will ever see again on stage. His vocal range is just insane, as well as his all-around talent with music. A true virtuoso of our time, gone too soon.

The singer is from Ukraine - You must see some current stuff they do - many covers - Chicago band loves them - checkout their current UA-cam offerings and their website - recorded in Moscow and sometimes the US. They travel doing shows in the US at least twice annually

.... and how many bands sound EXACTLY the same from the 80s? In terms of speed metal.... Megadeath, Testament, Venom, and even Metallica (to name a few) at moments all sound the same. We lived it, you know it - I know it lol. The only ones at truly had a unique sound like Iron Maiden, Ozzy, King Diamond (again to name a few) -- they cant be copied.

You mentioned the very slow tempo at the start and it feeling weird for power metal. It actually reminds me of Helloween’s “Keeper of the Seven Keys” (the song, not the albums of that name). It’s all subjective of course, but Unlucky Morpheus is one of my favorites. I much prefer them to schlock like Band-Maid and BabyMetal that are gimmicky and over promoted.
