      I wanted to but don’t think the factory tank has an auxiliary port to hook up to and I didmt feel like dropping the tank and drilling into it to make a port. Not in this weather at least. I think the external tank I did will be fine for now. Down the road I may do something differently with the fuel feed.

I don’t know what the cheaper ones offer but I figured even $159 a month is not a lot if you’re able to get good loads from the load board. As far as insurance it’s a completely different policy because you need commercial insurance for truck and trailer. It’s not cheap.

    U put a heater in, but the cold i can handle with blankets and sleeping bags usually. What about in the summer time? When its 100 outside and still 90 at night I was gonna get a portable unit that ran both and just put it in my auxillary box running into back window. Cost about 1500 for heat and air! Hook it into a protable 3k watt charing unit. Im sure there are eaiser ways but i dont want atart drilling holes in my truck just yet

    • @Mr.AlexKogan
      @Mr.AlexKogan  Рік тому +1

      I like to keep my truck looking clean. When we start talking about mounting tubes through the back window that’s when the truck becomes looking like something from ghostbusters movie. I’m mot a fan of that. I’m still thinking about a solution for the summer time. There are some units available like zero breeze but you still have to route tubes outside. I don’t have a solution yet but hopefully will think of something for next summer. I had a sleeping bag for winter which did an amazing job but it’s still uncomfortable when you get out of it and everything else in your truck is cold. I think it’ll be more comfortable to sleep with the heater.

    Really nice install Alex, you did well. I'm just curious, does your heater over-produce hot air in your truck? Mine will have the cab @ 120 degrees within minutes, I had to install a diverter valve to bleed off some of the hot air. I plumbed mine into my auxiliary diesel tank to supply an endless supply of fuel, also decided to run the heater off of a power station instead of truck batteries. I run a 12 volt cooler like yours, my heater, and various USB charging devices at night. So far, it has worked perfectly. I plan on doing the same thing with one of the new small 12 volt A/C units during the summer. With the cost of idling and clogged EGR stuff, they will pay for themselves very quickly. Stay safe and keep the blue side up!!!

    • @Mr.AlexKogan
      @Mr.AlexKogan  Рік тому +1

      Thank you! I have not been on the road yet to try it out. Only powered it on for a test run. I don’t think it should overheat the cab since the co troller is a thermostat just like the house I would think it will kick off or out the flame out when it gets to set temperature and kick back on when it gets cooler. I’ll have to try it out at night to see how it works. Definitely better than idling. I have never idled my truck because of the emissions being intact.

I went on my way. To say the least, I was livid. The "warranty manager" informed me that it WAS NOT covered by the warranty. There was nothing to do but bite the bullet, I couldn't risk having the load pulled from me and losing even more, no more idling for this guy! Lol Take care Alex.
