    Blown away by the depth of Gabor Mate’s wisdom. It’s like he’s a modern day wizard. A hard-assed exterior with the most compassionate eyes. He’s the real deal.

    Seek and ye shall find, knock and the door shall be opened to you. For anyone who seeks finds, and for anyone who knocks the door will be open. I suffered with terrible anxiety, bipolar, trauma, you name it. I’ve been hospitalized twice for mania. When I disposed of all my sins, and sought the Living God, He helped me on multiple levels and I hardly did any work. It’s all Him. He’s the answer to all this nonsense. You know most of the info out there is nonsense. Seek the Living God, ask Him to help you.

    Gabor Maté is one of the wisest people I've ever come across. At some point, his wisdom saved my life (now, I'm using it to save other people's lives).

      Interesting approach in this excerpt. Also going through the pathless path, here; but "feeling" the emotional backlash.

    It would be great to have a checklist or list of questions one can refer to determine whether one is in the throes of spiritual bypass. An awareness one can hold. Especially as, the closer one is to abiding in true nature, the sneakier the ego gets. In other words, the mind/ego can obscure denial or that one is running away! This is so important...

    This is very interesting stuff. I wonder how many people who went on to live an unconventional lifestyle seeking a form of spiritual enlightment were comfortable with who they were prior to doing it...they are a minority i believe, the majority were probably the ones who are running away from their own self...but at what cost?

    Gabor creates an amazing meeting point between spirituality and medical sciences. I've always found his content spiritual without the label of "spiritual"

    Wow. He is so wise. And I feel it in my body like every sentence he forms is the truth which is weird.

    This is the topic so hard to set as partial truth to definite truth. While in midst of both the traveling message irritates those that know certain ideas. As it were said making lab rats..
    That's why the system game and control about surroundings also play a part of difference. The fear and or want of death by reasons that lend toward religion also is the redundant idea we live ...out there another type action is continuing the phrase "Jew em out of it"...see that's one view that is going on in the build of societal work. Systematic as well. So we must look at the sourced aspect of ...out of this world..notice the tide turns rather fast paced when activity that helps gets leeway.

      Gabor Mate is not against AA in fact advocate it for addicts, but realize there is some limiting belief of how AA run their organization.

      Really ? One of the primary essential elements of what AA offers is 'connection' though shared experience. The 12 steps are part of the solution that it allows for the beginning of the journey inwards. Many in AA would believe in the higher self as a higher.Everyone has their own concept of a higher power, it is as personal to them as what your's is. I have great respect for Gabor and believe much of what he says but he does stereotype aspects of the 12 steps and AA. Many AA people listen to Gabor and subscribe to much of what he says.

      @@mustafakemalpasha983 Yes, Christ. If you honestly look at the evidence for God and specifically the God of the Bible, its overwhelming. Even our whole world timeline is divided by the life of Christ, before Christ and after death. There isn't space to list all the evidence here but many books have been written about it. And there is the evidence of individual lives, literally millions of people have had their lives transformed for good by faith in Jesus.

      @adamr8628 7 місяців тому

      @@mustafakemalpasha983 What evidence? You really need to do some research. There are reams of books. Have you heard of the Dead Sea sea scrolls? Archaeological evidence is well documented by science. Ever heard of the Star of Bethlehem that you can document in astronomy computer software because of Kepler's laws of planetary motion? We could go on for hours just listing the evidence, much less digging into the depths of it all. There's no room in this text box to list it off. You going to have to do some homework. Many of the most intelligent people that ever lived were believers in God because of the evidence. Some of the most famous atheists are converted by the evidence. So don't tell me you're more intelligent than they are.

      +ShroomFactory Indeed, but it's rude that in the name of science some beliefs are passed.. it's like hijacking science! (not necessarily this video, I am criticizing a whole ideology).

    • @ShroomFactory
      @ShroomFactory 8 років тому

      +Marwan Samaraey The science is never hijacked because the fairy tale is separate from science. One can discuss both simultaneously, but they are still separate. To confuse the two as one is the fault of the perceiver.
