Fast and the furious really captures the look and feel of the early 2000's. No movie gives me that warm sense of nostalgia like this one does. Makes me feel 17 all over again whenever I watch it. Miss those days more with each passing year...
remember when the one guy pulls out a floppy disk?
You'll be ok
Agreed with your comment. The problem with most movies in the early 2000s they are mostly crap. Outside of the Lord of the Rings films and the beginning of the Harry Pothead series there is nothing truly memorable from that era.
Everything was tinted trying to look like the Matrix, and everyone was wearing black leather trying to look like the Matrix.
In honesty, most movies from the mid-late 1990s were crap too.
Everything about cars was cool and affordable… life was a lot simpler back then… 😢
100 percent bro 😊
Absolutely fantastic. This is exactly how we need to see location videos. Detailed comparison shots and no twenty minute tedious intro chat. Even more impressive is the fact it sounds like Robert De Niro is presenting it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Haha, funny some people have said the same regarding De Niro. I guess it will be extra funny when I do Goodfellas lol..
Thanks a lot!
i make yours my words
I greed. Also it would've been nice to see a 360 view(the surroundings)of tge spots
The Second have a bright
Sounds like Robert DeNiro? What?? 🤣
i was born in 1999 and i swear life looked like the movie for me with this yellow/orange-ish filter
the movie screams with those early 2000’s vibes
Same bro. 99 here as well. I don't know if it's nostalgia but I miss the days of our youth. It really does seem like life had a yellow tint on it. Everything was happier too. This movie was my life. Must have watched it over a hundred times. I think it's the only thing I was in love with as a child. The idea of racing japanese cars was so ridiculously cool to me. Just got a mk4 supra to commemorate the memories. Too scared to go fast in it due to it having irreplaceable parts... I guess I never really moved on from this movie. Most people don't understand whenever I tell them about this movie- they just think fast and furious is stupid. And I don't blame them with the newer releases, but this will always be a classic. I'll keep rewatching clips every other month till I'm long gone. It's more than just a film. It was my obsession!
@@sinless yeah i get this feeling bro. i now own a jzx 100 chaser. although it’s a NA auto trans one but i drive it daily and get a lot fun just by knowing that i have one of those dream cars that people wish. this whole passion started with the first three movies of the franchise back in my very childhood. sometimes i still watch clips of the beginning of 2f2f where Brian rides his R34. damn that sound of mixed RB and JZ is like honey for my ears haha
tokyo drift and nfs carbon also had a huge impact on my obsession with cars (especially jdm) back in mid-late 2000’s. this was a great time of our youth!
@@kempinenPC yes man! Need for speed was huge. Played all of those on the PS2. Hot Pursuit 2, Underground 2, Most Wanted, etc. They just don't make those games like they used to. Now it's just microtransactions and recycled content. I remember driving Rachaels green 350z in the game for tens of hours because i wanted it so bad.
That chaser is sick man! Toyota gang. That's so awesome that you have one. Don't feel bad about the NA auto dude. You still got that 1JZGE! I was grateful enough to find one in twin-turbo, it's also automatic cause I couldn't afford 6speed 🤣 That shit is too expensive. Like.. $20k extra. Maybe one day we could both swap our transmissions for a better one. I guess its necessary to rebuild the transmission whenever going over 1000hp anyways. So when that time comes itll finally be manual. It's not the end of the world. We actually have about the same amount of horsepower if youre stock, which is funny. The 2JZGTE sounds good stock so people wanna race, but i'm slow af.
It was surreal getting the car a few months back. Like i was in a dream and couldnt really process reality. Like... i did it. Im in the car i fantasized about for roughly 20 years.. Right-hand-drive is so weird in the USA man. The amount of looks and tiktokers who scream "is that a supra?!" at me every day can be annoying after a while. I bet you get tons of pics being taken of you and stuff too. The chaser is on the same status. It's so offputting at first but surely we will get used to it. We signed up for it after all huh?!
Did you hear about Nissan bringing back the R32 GTR chassis in an EV format? That will be nuts. Definitely hope one day we can both afford a GTR. That R36 must be coming soon... it's been a while now. I'm afraid the ones we grew up with will be indefinitely financially unobtainable.
Also in the first movie I always thought it was funny that Leon had his yellow R33 and it was barely even shown or talked about. Easily the hottest car in the movie besides the 1970 charger of course, but it seems like nobody even noticed or cared. The orange supra was also NA originally when jesse pops the hood but nobody talks about that.
@@sinless glad for you buddy! it's the exact time to own these jdm (and not only jdm tbh) legends. a few years pass and our favorite cars will cost like a nuclear missile haha. they tend to get a new way of treatment and respect just like old muscles in the 90's/early 2000's. the generation that wanted to have them in their childhood once became solvent and finally had a chance to afford them. the same thing is happening now with jdm cars. i mean look at what 240s cost now xD it's insane though. parts also are high priced now. back in the 2010's R154 or W58 trans were cheap as shit, now just a 154 trans cost almost like 1jz-gte in my country :((
about f'n'f:
haha yeah a NA burned out and crashed supra must have been a real argument for non-car related people in the "pop the hood" scene in the first movie xD still legendary moment though. as a kid i really felt the whole "bad ass'ness' of the scene.
I was born in the mid 90's and also noticed that up until 2006 with memeories/environmental feeling
I think it's incredible how much can change in 20 years. Some locations were almost completely unrecognizable
I use to live down the street where they filmed race wars at the abandoned airfield in Highland San Bernardino. I remember hearing cars all day long. I never imagined they were making a movie
LA just seems to be one of those cities that constantly changes with each decade! Things never look the same in so many locations
Our city here just left the 90s a couple years ago
@@heyhocodyo01 Where you from?
I think that's any major development city
@@MOE13576 Yeah that's true especially when people keep moving to a certain city! I'm from the Dallas/Ft Worth area and it's changed so much from what it was 20 years ago
@@shakarussanders9911 moose jaw saskatchewan canada they are finally starting to get with the times
Wow! Great job lining up all the shots and filming locations. I really appreciate the time and effort that you put into this video.
Thanks so much!
It's amazing how many tree's have overgrown all the old video. Goonies Etc. Everything looked better in the past, with less tree's and growth everywhere.
I have watched every fast and furious filming location on youtube and I can safely say, this is the best by far! Straight to the point with no bullshit.
I am from Australia and flying over to LA in 1 week and planning to visit these locations. This video could not have been posted at a better time! Thank you sir!
I hope you have a great trip! Thanks for the great feedback!!
You are going to love the vibes there man for real, i've been there a couple of times from the netherlands. And damn straight up goosebumps, small tip btw.
Prepare for LA, i liked it allot but it's some real life shit there so be carefull. save trip my dude
G'day fellow Aussie! Just saw the video and your comment man - how was your trip? Did you get to see many of the locations? Would love to visit the US - number one place I want to go! And after seeing this video I want to go to these places too! I have an R34 GTT I've had for almost 10 years now, influenced by Paul Walker :)
How was your trip
This film gives me so many feels. I was lucky to be of an age when this movie came out that I was getting into modified cars. This movie somehow really captivated how we all felt at the time being a petrol head. I can watch this movie today and it fills me with nostalgia.
Not sure anyone does this kind of content better. Thanks, Nick!
Thanks a lot Jason!
theres others, one guy does all the 80s movies like lost boys, goonies, stand by me and so on.
@@Imakebootysclaphe didnt say that he is saying that this guy does it the best lil u gotta oay attention 😊
The 90s/2000s los Angeles sunlight hit different....😢
Best "filming locations" I've seen. Lined up shot are perfect. I appreciate the effort you put into this. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks a lot!
Love the ORIGINAL!! Didn't see this comin 😊
Great video!
The camera angles for the comparison shots were spot on! 👌
The original movie will always be the best one in my opinion!
Have a nice day!
Thanks a ton! I agree about the original.
Have a great one yourself
@@NickP You’re welcome!
Thank you!
To this day it hurts that Paul is not here with us 😔
great job dude. easily the best movie of the franchise for me
Thank you!
I agree!
The best one for sure!
This was very well done. Having the shots line up was very cool to see. Thanks!
Thank you!
I lived on prairie and 118th street and saw the cars there on 120th st at like 2am in the morning. saw some of the race scene being filmed. The jet in the back ground in in the hawthorne airport .
Very cool
You were definitely shooting this content a quarter mile at a time. Well done, Sir.
Thanks so much!
I was 20 when this movie first came out. R.I.P Paul Walker. And to my Acura GSR i drove back then wherever you are. Forever in my heart lol.
I flipped my GSR it was such a great car. Still wish i had it.
Love your content...as far as im concerned you're the best before and after film youtuber i have ever seen so thank you! if you haven't done it already id like to see "Tremors" or maybe Die Hard 1,2,3...keep doing what youre doing.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it.. Great suggestions, love those movies.
This is amazing to me. I look for the small details that are still the same to this day, like the railroad crossing guards, they're still the exact same ones that were used in the movie before the fake ones were broke. I think it's incredible that some of these things didn't change or move at all in over 20 years. If only these items and buildings could talk! Great video, I subscribed because of this video.
Many thanks to you!
This video had terrific editing. Well done, appreciate the work you put in!!!
Thanks a lot!
This is how it's done... Very precise and well done...
Thanks a lot
What an amazing content man. Thanks for the memory lane..!! I would love to see the same for 2 fast 2 furious..Not many have done it. Thanks for the video!
Thanks a lot! I will try to get to that in the future.
The best video about filming locations.
Fantastic video, for somebody who lives in England this is an excellent insight into the actual locations of a movie that is very close to my heart. I love your work sir ❤
Thanks so much!
The great thing about this is there's no CGI. The filming locations are real, and one can visit these locations. Some of the filming locations are still recognizable over 20 years later, and other places have completely changed. I'm sure the 90s and early 2000s was a great time for enthusiasts and society (simpler times), as I was born after this movie was released.
Great video!!!
I couldn’t agree more, and thanks a lot!
Brilliant as always, your line up shots are always spot on👌
Glad you like them! Thank you
Very detailed review of the film locations. Thank you.
Another amazing video Nick! Been looking for a video on these locations for ages! Much appreciation from Scotland! 🏴
Glad you enjoyed, and many thanks to you!
Amazing job! I took my son by the house and he loved it. I couldn’t have done the research that you have. Much love and thanks for doing this.
That’s great, my pleasure!
Thanks for actually explaining and comparing instead of just showing
Best work that ever see ! I loved way that you compare Real places vs Filmed places.
Many thanks!
Nice trip you took here you made one hell of a video covering one of the best movies of all time always amazed at your scene by scene comparing thanks for doing this one🤙
My dude! How are ya man??
@NickP I'm doing OK my friend glad to see you continue to make Great videos 💯 🤙
@@Otr808 good to hear!
Liked and subbed. Would have to be the best video so far on UA-cam going over the locations from the first (and best imo) fast movie. I was 17 when it released in 2001, between the first couple of fast movies and the 2 need for speed underground games, it was a great time being a car enthusiast back then in the middle of all this culture. Great vid again man, much love from down under 🇦🇺
The movie was released at the right time, as the auto universe was in high gear. It’s a fun movie for sure.
Many thanks!
Man that last shot of the movie when the music starts playing as Brian walks away always gives me chills. Perfect music choice! Great video. Probably one of the best FF film location videos I've seen and I've seen a lot of them!
Awesome.. I really appreciate it, thanks!
Thanks Nick! This sure brought memories back, as I did some of these locations in 2015 (Bob's Food Market, the main house and the Stadium parking lot). Great to see so much is still mostly the same.
Glad you enjoyed it buddy, many thanks!
Top notch content as always nick.....love the editing....love the then and now shots....work of art my friend 😊👍🇬🇧
Likewise, thanks so much my friend. I hope your enjoying the summer!
Apprezzo che hai fatto vedere le location di questo film leggendario.gran video!!
Thanks a lot!
This was really cool that you did this video
Thank you!
Amazing coverage!!! Glad u went to Hawthorne! Not a lot of people knew about that scene location 💪🏼🔥
Many thanks!
Camera angle is on point, i love the comparison 👍
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing fast and the furious film locations thoroughly enjoyed watching your video 👍😀
Thank you!
You're a legend for making this video. Much respect to you.
Many thanks!
Thank you very much for this great video! How nostalgic those places are, countless times I watched "Fast and Furious." Greetings from Mar del Plata, Argentina.
Most detailed video yet...good job 👍👍👍
Thank you!
That is my time frame as well. We loved Fast and Furious, Scream, Joy Ride, etc. plus the music was better back then as well.
Great video. This would have to be the best fast and furious location video i have seen yet. Makes me want to watch my favorite movie once again.
Awesome, thanks a lot.
Absolutely amazing. As others have mentioned, lots of people doing this type of content but this is one of the best I've seen. The "Reshoots" channel is incredible for this type of content.
I really appreciate that, thanks a lot. Yes, I watch “reshoots”…nice work for sure.
Awesome attention to detail! What a cool look back at such an iconic movie.
Thanks a lot!
Awesome video love that movie none of the other ones beat the first ones
I love nostalgia
been looking for a filming location for this movie... great job sir!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I went to visit the torrettos house and the Bobs Market. It felt just crazy to stand there where they actually filmed this masterpiece. Unbelieveable experience. If you get the chance and go to visit los angeles, take your time and go visit at least those two places. If you are a fan, you wont regret.
I was just at bobs market yesterday! Great video 👏🙌
A🙌ESOME Thanks a lot!
Awesome video!!! Thanks for the locations I've always wanted to visit these.
@@Francisroughley Many thanks!
Moving to San Pedro this week. Cant wait to geek out visiting these spots.
My hat down for aligning the shots with ones from movie!!! Excellent work!!
Thank you very much!
abSOLUTELY mazing video , well narrated and filmed, nice to watch and remember.
Thanks so much!
Thank you for putting in the effort to line up all the shots. It's made it really nice to watch!
Thanks for the great feedback!
I think this was easily one of the best F&F film location videos that I've watched.
Thanks a lot
Lots of people go to that food market especially people that drove cars like mine. Brian seemed to always use an STI for the missions and I remember back when I had an Evo VIII he was driving the evo VII and it was great to be able to drive a car like that. I still remember in 2001 people watched this movie and everyone wanted a manual civic or manual import.
Good Job Sir Everything Detailed Thumbs Up
Thanks a lot
You ALWAYS line the shots up so perfect. Thats why i love this channel so much 👍👍😀😀👌
Many thanks to you Steve!
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you!
Amazing job, great video! Very fascinating to see the locations how they are today
Many thanks!
@@NickP I've actually parked my jeep (that was styled after Brian's red Ford lightning F150) in the driveway of the fast and furious house on Kensington before there was a do not enter sign blocking it lol
Your effort into this video is really appreciated. Awesome comparison shots 🙌🏼
Thanks a lot!
Me gustó mucho ver estos lugares donde se rodó esta buena película muchas gracias bien echo👍.
Brilliant video as always nick love all your videos well done 😎👍
Thanks a lot bud!
@@NickP your very welcome 👍
Really good video man. Loved the comparisons. The details were spot on!
Many thanks!
This is awesome. Thanks for making this
The entire recreation was astoundingly awesome.
I love have you re-create every shot, not sort of the same angle, but exactly the same angle
Thanks a lot
Fully subscribed too all your videos! They all are amazing and awesome thank you again 😅keep it up! Come and do london one day! England!
Thanks so much!! I can’t wait to visit your country!
Excellent video!
Thank you very much!
Tank you bro! Im from china, but i like Fast and the Furious so much! this movie change my life. I'd like to go to the US to see the locations of the first few movies, including where Paul Walker finally left the world.
Wow I'm speechless.. amazing quality video brings back so many memories wow how times change lol
Many thanks to you!
Nicely done! How lucky to have done that, thanks for including addresses so we can visit using online maps.
VERY well made video, thank you for making the effort to even line up the shots.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Aaaah mann love the car dudes showing up there and just having a good time.
Wow nice show! great job video! :) I missed past so much....
Best "filming locations" I've seen. Great great great !!! 👍👍👍
Many thanks!
Amazing scout and editing work! Iconic movie that influenced a generation
Thank you!
Whoa, well done. Instantly subscribed.
Awesome, thank you!
One of my biggest pet peeves has always been when people purchase a home knowing that it is a famous location then get mad when people show up to take pictures and look around.
F&F house is also all but next door to the house used for Roger in Training Day.
This is so cool appreciate your time to make this. F&F sparked a whole love for Motorsport throughout being a kid I think I was 6 years old when this came out I use to watch it every day over and over I’m sure I could recite word for word if I watched again lol
This is a brilliant video!
Thanks a lot!!
Great job my friend!you filmed everything with perfect details!greetings from Greece 🇬🇷 ❤
Many thanks to you!
Super cool. Thanks for the tour.
very cool video, thank you for all the efforts, very accurate and clean shots. I would love to see a video on the 2fast 2furious locations.
Thank you thank you thank you. You did a great job. I’ve been to the house already. I’ve been to the crash scene. I’ve been to the cemetery, but I haven’t been to the rest of the locations. You did a great job. Keep up the great work.🏎
Such a great video, nailed it. Sir, I like your glasses by the way!
Thank you kindly!
Only two mins in and subscribed great work man can't wait to see what other movies you'll do
Thanks a lot
Great work, I did some of these places a few years ago, love the early movies
Great memories of this movie.
I wonder how many people the person who owns Dom's house have to tell to stay out of their yard. I imagine they get tons of people who come to see it. The guy who owns the Back To The Future house comes out and talks to people.
I’d come out and tell everyone to try Fatburger next time, and well.. you know the rest.
I’ve been missing LA tremendously lately and disappointed I did get to see some of these spots on my last trip. The detail in these shots is just incredibly well done. 👏
Thanks so much, Brian!
Hopefully this video can help somewhat fill the void. I was suppose to return to LA later this month myself, but will have to postpone the trip. I also appreciate the donation, that was very kind of you.
Man the first three movies will always stay close to my heart. This proves that they don't need to the crap they are doing now, just stick to the original storyline and make movies about cars and keep the story simple as the first three ones.
Cool seeing the then and now of movie locations vs the actors lol. Would be fun to visit some of these sites for sure
