    My preferred method take a paper draw two dots one being the center of the bore and the other measured by the offset of the visible laser. Then I adjust the peq till both lasers are lined up with their respective dots. This method has worked for me and I can get hits from right in front of me to 400m(furthest I have been able to try)

    When your laser line of sight crosses your optic's line of sight, and you KNOW where the two lines intersect, then you have a simple built-in rangefinder. For example, I have a laser on the right side of my rifle and it is set up to zero with the scope at 200 yards. If the laser dot appears to the right of the scope crosshair, then the range is LESS than 200 yards. If the dot appears to the left of the crosshair, then the range is over 200 yards. I have found this to be a handy quick range estimator.

      200 yards??? Doesn't the laser "dot" becomes like 12" at that distance? It's already almost 1" at 25 meters.

    On the I2 isn't the laser on the right side? How are you getting impacts on the right if you are aiming at the middle? The barrel is to the left of the laser.

    Sometimes, it's really hard to find a range zero IR laser if you happens to be living in the cities or suburbs, however, there is a way of "by-passing" the night shoot. Simply, you zero your visible laser during the day, then when you get home at night, line up both beams, probably your back yard or sth; remember, try not to overlap if possible, it's gonna be really hard to do with NVG. This is not a very accurate method but within 50 yards/meters, it makes almost no difference anyway.

      @@ChrisJones-fm6wp Thank you for the explanation. Unfortunately, the LAMs you are talking about are real steel only, and i use this for airsoft night games. The RS LAMs are expensive as hell, and also forbidden in my country. I thought there was something i could do for the airsoft destined DBAL 2 unit. Guess i will just use the easy way described by @fullmetalchicken above. Thank you again :)

    When you say rope it in are you using laser adjustments or the weapon adjustments to get center on green ring?
    Last question say you sighting in at 150-200 meters the intersection point of muzzle to laser will be different than at 50 meters how do you get your dope for further ranges or is 50 like a bzo?

    For the dbal target, this is for the model with the ir pointer on the left side of the unit? There's a model of the dbal-i2 that is ir illum/laser that has the pointer on he right, so this target wouldn't work for that model.

    I use a magpul MOE front end on my rifle. Its durable, inexpensive and light weight. The only problem is I would not be able to mount a laser at the 12 o'clock position. My options are 2, 6 and 10 o'clock positions. If I wanted to mount a laser on either the 2 or 10 o'clock position how will that effect me zeroing it with your targets?

    • @armystrong6920
      @armystrong6920 8 років тому

      Well, you could use a target with a grid pattern and tilt the targt roughly to the degree your laser will be tilted. Then just follow normal instructions to zero. It really doesn't matter the orientation, it'll just make zeroing a little bit of a pain in the ass. Elevation and windage adjustments work just the same.

      Hes saying you cant effectively sight it in because the laser is not on the bore axis so you have both elevation and windage to contend with.
