Thank you for showing us. Simple yet beautiful. Hello from Sydney Australia 👋🏼
Good morning and thank you 😊
Beautiful! I am so glad someone pointed me to your videos! It was originally to learn about different heat tools but when I saw you do the flowers I had to try it and I am hooked! I even bought the mini compressor you suggested in one of your videos and I love it! Thank you for all the inspiration!
You're welcome 😊
For anyone trying to make flowers with alcohol ink, your tutorial is a must see. Thank you SO much for sharing your techniques.

Gorgeous! Absolutely love everything you do. I have learned so much from watching your channel.
😊
Just another successful illustration of your talent and ability to create beauty. I follow your every video and try everything you present to us. The only problem is my flowers have not been as beautiful as yours, but I intend to continue to build on what you have taught me. I expect that one day I will finish a flower and utter a big "thank you, Jeannette!" because it turned out pretty. Practice makes perfect, but my determination to succeed is a driving force that will see me having created a lovely flower, I promise!!
Patsy, thank you so much for the kind words. Practice makes better, plus it's fun!

Thank you😊
Oh my goodness. That is beautiful. I am going to try that too. I do not have an air compressor. So I have to learn how to master my air blower.
Thank you! You should be able to use a hand air blower and get the same look. Good luck and please share with me on my FB group "Vivo Vintage Designs tutorials". I would love to see how you do!
My snow cap bottle leaks too. I just followed along and did my first. I think it turned out great. I wish I could post my pic. You are a great teacher. Thank you

Newbie here… use a lazy Susan to turn your work. I do this when I paint pour!!
I have one, which I forget to use...lol!
very nice i am like so mach
Thank you 😊
I really love the look of the alcohol ink layering it is beautiful. Which side of the photo paper do you use? The glossy side or matte side?
Thank you. I used the matte side.
This is so beautiful. I just bought alcohol inks and want to try this. But I don’t have an airbrush. Can I use the ranger blower and get a similar effect?
Thank you. Yes, you can achieve a similar look with the hand blower.
Hi I notice you use Kirkland photo paper. Do you use the back (matte side) or the front glossy side? Have you tried other photo papers that you would or wouldn’t recommend. Amazon is out of Kirkland and the Yupo I’ve been using is great but expensive for practicing with. Thanks for your help.
Hi Robyn. You should use the matte side as the ink will not move on the glossy side. I've only used Kirkland , other than some rolls of photo paper (without a name) that were given to me. I'm sure there are other brands you can use, but I'm not sure which ones. Yupo is expensive...I know.
Hi Jeanette, will I be able to create the same effect using any of the alcohol inks?
Only if you mix them with snow cap.
Very pretty! So you just used the snocap directly? No alcohol?
Correct.
Very pretty. I am new to airbrush, may I know how can you avoid to spray with out the little branches at the end, but a rounded petal instead please? Thanks.
I am using UNI airbrush that comes with 0.2,0.3 and 0.4 nozzle. Max 30 psi.
I find that using more alcohol helps. Also, you can always blow the outside back in. Just go around the outside if the petal and blow those frills back in.
@@VivoVintageDesigns thanks for your advice and thanks for sharing your videos, it helps me as newbies a lot.
@@connieyam8322 it's my pleasure 😊
Hello again Jeanette, I tried this again using an acrylic ink background, but when using the first coat it seemed to spatter as apposed to creating the nice leaves you created. Was this because I used an Acrylic Ink background?
That happens to me too, even though I used ai for the background. Try lowering the psi. Let me know if that works better.
Good morning Jeanette, thank you very much for your speedy reply. My compressor is not as good as yours I'm afraid. It's only a 25 psi😢. Which brings me onto another problem. As soon as I switch my airbrush on. Whilst it is still on the base. Is constantly makes that pressure sound. Would you say from your experience that it may be dieing? I will try another painting today but, will use a diluted background. Thank you so much for help . Sheila xx
@@smayhew3599 if it's constantly running, it may mean you have a leak. Check your hose and make sure the connections are tight and feel around the hose to see if you feel any air. That would be my first thought.
Good afternoon Jeanette, I am a beginner at painting with Alcohol ink and was wondering why you used photo paper instead of the Yupo?
I do use yupo now and then, but as much as I paint, I find photo paper much more cost effective.

hi.Amazing tutorial ...just one doubt the airbrush which you are using is not connected to any motor isit ?
Hi Bhavani. I'm not sure what your are asking, but if you watch video #148, you can see the airbrush and compressor I use. Maybe that will help answer your question.
@@VivoVintageDesigns thanks I just saw that was exactly the answer...and btw your videos are very detailed and easy to understand for beginners like me ..
@@bhavanikrishnan2333 thank so much for the kind words. That is exactly my aim.
Depending on my bottle, some 2-3 drops just tumble out at once or some will be small drops, I'm starting to think Im going to transfer alllll my colors I should transfer to the needle bottles. Pain but my bottles seem to spew out too much generally
That's a good idea if you're having issues with too much coming out. I also use a hammer to flatten the tips of my needle tip bottles. It helps control the amount that is released.
@@VivoVintageDesigns thank you so much for your reply Great idea on the hammer. I never would have thought of that
I just bought the snow cap color today. It says mixative on the bottle. Are you mixing it with anything before you use it?
Use straight from the bottle. Dont add alcohol.
Are you using the front or back of the photo paper?
Using the back. The front absorbs the ink so you want to use the matte side
Which side of the paper you use?
The matte side. Ink wont move on glossy side.
What do I need to purchase at Michaels to do this? Thank you.
Hi Kimm. Take a look in the description box just below the video. Click on "show more" to see a list of all the products used and links for Amazon if you want to order them or you can purchase at any art supply store.
Where did you buy your blower?
Check the description box below the video and you will find links to all the products used in the video.
Is that a hair dryer----or a heat gun?
It's a blow dryer. A heat gun gets too hot and will warp your paper if you're not careful. It's linked in the description box below the video if you would like more info on it.
What air brush set do you use
It's listed in the description box below the video. Click on "show more" or the arrow pointing down and it will expand.😊
Sorry, I wasn't able to access it in my first response, but here it is - *Master Airbrush and compressor kit - amzn.to/2sMjGjq
very nice. wondering what your background noise is? kind of distracting, no offence
No offence taken...I find it annoying as heck, but my studio is currently in my basement. What you hear is my furnace or water softener. Not much I can do about it since its pretty cold in NJ at the moment so my furnace runs often.
Beautiful!
Thank you!
