Free video on how to sing this note EZ on my channel 😈
no easy way with emphasis with out falling into an off pitch high scream for me, my voice won't do it no how "flat" (plain) I try
@@kylekapinski2164try grinding into the note instead of wailing into it , it sounds weird ik but thats the only way i can explain it
@@godzillasfailingliver2393 I can bottom end it it just doesn't have the dynamic to it
Lmfao 😂😅 this guy is on every comment you seek attention sad soul
How can there be so much distortion, yet so much resonance at the same time???
I think that’s what makes this vocal so breathtaking.
He doesnt do it at the same time though?
Still very impressive how switches between the two. The guy had an insane voicebox.
Vibrato was lovely in his voice
@@ThePaintedHopehe did
@@ThePaintedHope He did all of that at the same time, that's why people love his voice
Agreed
Best voice no doubt
I beg to differ
After Chris cornell of course
@@johnwizard27 yup
@@johnwizard27 Chris Cornell also best voice noD
@@mrbuckfast9825 What you mean by wrong ??
Dude had some pipes no doubt
Bro…. You didn’t need to 😂
@@kinjukaida ? Singing pipes.....
@@kurdtttCobainnn i get it
This is William
@@kurdtttCobainnn......layne had the PIPES
They said in the front two or three rows of a live concert you can hear Layne Staley's voice over the PAs
Ok, that’s fucking tone, clarity, pitch AND power! Wtf?! 😯 😱 😳
Goddamn, I miss Layne.
That's Will
William Duvall, not Layne
@@ComaAlpha 😐
and like perfect note shifts within the vibrato, honestly unreal
@@ZhuanRenLei Not only impressive but attractively engaging, dude was unreal!
I really wish he was still here with us
I do too. who knows how much music they could have created? I love Jerry man. he's so amazing -as is the rest.of AIC!!
@@rockgirlemilyavery can you imagine Layne singing a check my brain? And Stone,, 😮😮
@@kristopherguilbault5428chemical tribe would be sick.
Those is a recording of William, not Layne.
Layne is the rock tenor 💗 His voice is unmatched
Too bad this is NOT a recording of Layne's voice. That's obviously William.
@@ComaAlphayour so wrong, Layne and William sound nothing alike
@@LJB001 I KNOW! Which makes it obvious that this is William.
@@ComaAlpha I’m not sure if you’re joking, but this isn’t William, this is Layne, the Dallas 1990 show
@@LJB001 nope
All of his greatest songs are cries out to be helped, loved or saved.
Or there are songs about others asking for it.
Even at 11 years old when I first probably heard of Alice In Chains they were coming out with one of their first albums, jar of flies around that time I guess, I felt the power and it immediately knocked me down.
How on earth did he pull off multiple B♭4s PER live show and you can’t get past an F#4? Yes, it’s always an F#4 or a G4. Weird, isn’t it? There’s a scientific explanation for that AND an INSTANT FIX for that waiting for you at www.CrazySinging.com/ code LAYNE for 20% OFF
Screaming angel = Layne Staley
Holy sh!t, I had an emotional reaction to that sound! It felt real, and reminded me of seeing them live in 92. Wow, i felt that. Brought a tear to my eye. 😢
You're so lucky to have seen Layne with AIC. I never saw them sadly. 😞
What show is this so I can try to find it?
@krisnign9829 the clip is from 1990 Live at the Marquee in Dallas. Look for the remastered version. I think it's audio only.
His voice was very amazing , much mad respect. RIP Layne
I saw them back in the 90’s. AMAZING
I did actually get chills in my legs. I’ve always loved his voice. Doesn’t seem he got enough credit for his vocal abilities. Wish he was still here.
I need a CD of that
His voice was like no other! Chills!
UNLIMITED POWER!
In pantera song This Love live 1996 has insane vocals mainly at the end
Just shed a tear man. Beautiful.
Unmatched can't be replaced ever Layne Staley u are missed rest easy brother❤🤘🤟
Where can we find full song?

Absolutely epic. Layne’s voice was like a force of nature
Just breathtaking , out of this world and simply phenomenal. Gosh Layne had a one of a kind voice… too bad he succumbed to a H addiction😕🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️
There was something else that was going on with him. That much is obvious. If you listen to the song godsmack you will understand what his true problem was.
None of that is what defined this man!
@@hvac402 So what defined him then, might I ask?
@@dragonqueen6589 idk, can’t possibly be his inhumanly amazing voice
He lost the love of his life to addiction, if memory serves. He was never the same after she died. His family and friends couldn't get him to shake it. The heroin was an escape. I just wish something could've helped him! Heartbreak is a motherfucker!
So much power and it sounds effortless for him.
layne is really incredible. i wish he was still here with us. RIP🕊️❤️
So badass
Holy hell. That is incredible.
That is William
@@ComaAlphago watch the Dallas concert now your in every comment here and wrong
That sounds incredible
That’s my boy. ❤🤘🏻👏🏻👍🏻
I still adore Layne Staley. Always have .. always will.
Also gave me chills
Jar of flies never fails to make me cry like a baby. Rip
True, this is man in the box though
Layne's ability to power thru that next level will always blow me away. It's so sad we didn't get another album out of him. RIP 👑
Gives me chills everytime I hear Layne sing, ❤
Best voice from the Seattle scene of the early 90's with Chris Cornell in a close, close 2nd.
Oh you are trying to start a war up here 😂
Kurt- Cob...ain.. you forgot someone's name...
Kurt had incredible sizzle. Kurt was also the whole package. Wrote incredible songs and changed the music scene. Kurt is arguably, one of the most influential artists..in Line with Elvis and the Beatles. But vocals still go to Layne and Chris.. incendiary with their pipes.
@@yourdrummer2034 elvis most overrated singer of all time. every song he peformed he didnt write! Yes your correct he didnt have what most people call a good 'voice'. but kurt had a legendary voice. so unique and almost flat singing lol. i partially agree but at the same time man, its Kurt Cobain.
Thank you ! Damn straight end of story. Maynard is also amazing but those two a step above . Anyone who disagrees needs to go listen to superunknown
You can't help but feel that all over your body!
How in the f does he do it so effortlessly
This isn't Layne. It's William.
I don't think that's correct @@ComaAlpha
@@BadEmilie thats correct, the voice is completely different idk how people cant spot that and think its Layne.
He never peaked, he was always at it.
I'll never forget the first time i heard his voice, mind blown!!!
Best front man ever
O my god u can feel the intensity in the power coming through his voice very intense. How bad ass it sounded amen 💖
Search "Man in the box LIVE Miami"
After the 4 minute mark he goes into extreme overdrive....the audience must of been floored.
Miss him so much 😢
Chills
RIP Layne. He was a regular guy who was larger than life.
He’s awesome.
Man, I miss Layne🖤90s we’re the best
He’s beautiful, and so was his soul. Always loved Layne.🖤
So many other singers have tried and failed this. So sad that we don't have Layne with us, he was one of a kind.
He left us way to young!! But his amazing legacy he left behind is 4plus octave range with very epic voice and lyrics
What a powerful-voice Layne had!! Man in the Box, does give me the chills!! Thanks.
Damn he was simply the best ❤
Layne had perfect control at maximum power. Almost unicorn in his singing abilities. Super rare talent.
The Seattle live version in black and white along with It Ain't Like That is also fantastic. Moor Theatre. Edit: After going back to it, I think Moor theatre is better.
The moore is just perfect performance from start to finish! That's my favorite performance of Layne... just fucking crazy good!!!
One word sums up this... CHILLS
I have never felt chills while listening to a song
Until i heard this
Laynes voice was something special and it is such a shame we lost him ehen we did
Had a shiver pass up and down my spine when hearing this.
Live version of confusion also amazing
Spine chilling. Incredible!
Amazing vocals.
Wowwww, amazing
Fuckin amazing. Thank you!
He was one of the best in that era. Super underrated in the massive grunge movement of the 90’s.
RIP.
Pretty insane. Miss his voice.
Bruh... 😮 Imagine what he could've done if he took care of himself. He sounds out of this world good on that take even by his high standards.
This needs to be on Spotify
I'm super happy that 30 years later people are still talking about AiC and Layne.
Wow!
His voice never fails to give me chills. It's my top favorite of all time. He left us too soon. 🖤
Leslie here,Layne was a most impressive voice, wether singing softly or at full growl !!
He could sing it all!! It’s too bad he didn’t believe in himself!!
Rest peacefully,you are still loved!!
🎼😎🎸🤘⚜️☮️💋
This is why he's vocal god
This is William
I dont know I saw them in 93 and he was still nailing is plus the Moore theater still raises the hair on my neck😊
I literally just got chills
Not many can give me goosebumps with 2 lines of singing
It brings tears to my eyes, I can feel the might in his voice!
His vocal range was insane 💯💯👑👑❤️❤️ #RIPLAYNE #AIC4EVER
Gives me the chills
He’s a god in my eyes hands down on of the best vocalist and the way Jerry’s voice compliments his voice is out of this world their harmonies are absolutely perfect together! Chris Cornell is another beast on the mic!
Only regret in life is not being able to hear this RAW emotion live. RIP Layne, your vocal cords were GODLY.
I'm so upset that I was born in '98 and can never see this icon perform in person. RIP Layne.
Everyone has at least one of those "WTF is this" moments in life and AIC's "Man In a Box" was one of mine. A friend of mine had called me over saying he had a new band I needed to hear. I got goosebumps the first, second, third, and still to this day, when I heard them play but especially when I heard Layne sing. Damn, I miss him.
DAMN
Holy F***
I don’t think it gets any better than Layne or Maynard, two of the most powerful voices 🤘
Literally chills!! ❤
Absolutely the best vocalist ever
Damn that was good
where did you find this recording?! I need it
yeah like? he only gave us a snippet?
I like the old sound, just raw mother effen power raw
he is quite literally the best held high note with baritone still in it I have EVER heard xd
Such talent
Brendan Maier. Amazing voice!
Layne and Chester Bennington both had crazy vocal range. Extremely talented
Maynard is the closet to Layne. Love Chester but he isn't close
@@DannyLeeOGTi would argue chris Cornell was the closest but I can respect your opinion. Maynard is a beast !
What a talent
he’s definitely got the best voice of maybe any singer man he’s gotta be at least top 10
I have never had a song give me chills and goosebumps until now
Amazing ❤
sounds abit like chris cornell almost :) layne and chris are the greatest!
Layne Staley and Chris Cornell are stellar.
Wow the power !
Beautiful
