Since Stellantis took over Ram and Dodge, they have been in a downward spiral in terms of listening to customers wants. These companies once had the most exciting lineup of offerings but are following in the footsteps of Nissan by not refreshing vehicles and killing off the more desirable options. They need to kick Peugeot executives the hell out of the American market!!!!!

Them banking CAFE/CARB Credits... like they should have, but their consumer base didn't want to sell out... here's the result. don't worry, the Rampage won't be a US market Truck, South America etc only and if we get another small truck it'll be the Ram 1000 aka Fiat Toro, badged as a Dakota and be a tiny underpowered shoe. this was not a surprise as for those who dont know....which is like everyone here apparently... the main reason why stellantis is ending production of the hellcats and the hemi in general is they are losing hundreds of millions of $$$ due to fines in (especially in europe) for not having a high enough fuel economy and emissions standards. every auto manufacturer has to meet a certain epa/mpg goal across its entire line up of brands. for instant ford and gm make enough ''clean'' cars to offset everything with giant v8's where as dodge doesnt and hasnt for many years. so just be glad you got them as long as you did as stellantis could of killed them off years ago.

All specialty cars and trucks needed to be ordered directly from the manufacturer to eliminate all of the gouging that has become so commonplace….dealers could still sell bread and butter models etc. Manufacturers have shot themselves in the foot repeatedly over this situation. The problem is someone like me won't care if it sounds like a minivan. Six cylinder turbos are also not very fuel efficient in real world usage. Their complexity and potentially expensive repairs mean it would likely end up in a junkyard sooner than a V8 truck. One thing I know for sure is the EPA doesn't care what I think!

The "Straight 6" is only a 3-liter (180 cubic inches) engine, with twin turbos. The ratings (per advanced info) is 400 hp standard and 500 hp optional. It will have virtually no torque or horsepower at low rpms, and all the power will only be at the top end. So we'll have to buzz the crap out of the engine to get any power, which does nothing at all for the normal operating range of the engine. In my opinion the engine is as a result of some Vice President in charge of something at Chrysler who said, "make this work." Well, you can make anything work with enough boost pressure, but on the street, when sitting at a stop light, and the light turns green and the driver hits the throttle, what will happen is the vehicle will do a nose dive from a depressed throttle and no rpms and consequently no boost. Further, the info so far is that the engine will have CAST crank and pistons, combined with 20 pounds boost from the turbo, once the engine gets into its revs. My prediction is that the presence of CAST crank and pistons, combined with 20 pounds of turbo boost, will result in gobs and scads of blown engines and consequent warranty claims. Aside from installation in pickup trucks, the engine is slated for initial installation in the Grand Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee. Its what happens when you put bean counters in charge, rather than car guys that know what they're doing.

Nathan how can you say that the RAM TRX beat the the at it's own game when the Raptor created the game in the first place and also we are talking about a V8 vs a V6 and it seems like the TRX became pretty quiet when the Raptor R came along

My guess? Hybrid Hurricane. Not my kind of whiskey, but I’m sure it will be someone’s cup of tea.

Not worth the $$ with that type of $$ it’s better to spend it on a 3500 dually .the price for 1500-2500 isn’t much different. You get more bang for your buck with 2500.

This isn’t a work truck. I have a new heavy duty F250 and they ride like crap. This truck was a drag race truck/daily driver that rode nice and smooth. Completely different application.

If they would do the twin v6 with a hybrid this would be solid! Good power and efficiency in a large truck!

And contradicting themselves by pointing fingers at Ford's twin turbo V6.
      What's next? Also aluminum body?

Yeah this whole pointing fingers thing at another manufacturer when they are probably going to do it themselves is lame.@@oscara.9265

Once you passed over 80000 for the Trx just left me completely out! More important things to keep… home, services and my economy highlander and a dodge grand caravan. Sign of the times.

They are going the route of some sort of twin turbo v6 hybrid situation…similar to Toyota and ford. Trx is beautiful but at 8mpg it’s just not practical at all.

Is it possible, since the titan is also gone in 2024, that ram and Nissan are working on anothe4 collaboration?

Golly, maybe it's because the market for a big-ass, $100k, supercharged V8 that gets 7 mpg is pretty small?
