    Dispatchers are the worst, hell 90% haven't step foot in a truck and as soon as ur back is turned they're throwing knives at u, but ur doing a good job, making the right decisions and more importantly, getting ur freight off and on time. Keep up the good work. Anytime u want to talk hit me up. Stay safe

    I love multiple stop loads because most of them will pay 125$ per drop. If you ever decide to buy your own truck lease on with LandStar. You dispatch yourself from their website the only time you'll talk to dispatch is when you call and tell them which load your taking and download your 33% up front. I've had loads that paid 20,000 or more they are a premier company. Griz

    Thanks for your videos! It reminds me of when I started driving 25 years ago. All the frustrations and trying to figure everything out. I wish I could tell you it gets better, but it doesn’t, you just get used to it. There’s a reason why there’s such a shortage of drivers, not many people can handle this job. Hopefully you’ll stick to it and have a good career. I’m retiring from trucking this year at age 46, been a ride for sure but I’m done

      You should have came to Walmart. The joys of being employed in a private fleet is you don't run the middle of the night, service your own DC's and Stores, never have to wait for a dispatch or even wait around.. no touch freight and drop and hook also home every week with up to 3 weeks vacation the first year.

  • @thetexastrucker7934
    @thetexastrucker7934 Рік тому +3

    I've been running reefer OTR for six years and only had a multi stop load three times. And they were only three and four stops. The only stop that really matters is the first pickup. As long as ur there on time then being on time for the other stops only matters if that first pickup doesn't take too long. That's why multiple stops is a crap shoot bc all the other stops are at the mercy of the first stop. Unless you have plenty of time between stops then you kinda don't have to worry about it. It's only when you don't have much extra time between stops. The best advice I can give you to save you time on ur clock is to get to the shipper the nt before for an early live load and spend the nt on property. Then use PC the next day to move around. Don't start that clock until ur ready to go. The same with the receiver. If you have PC and know how to use it then use it for those short times you need it. It doesn't interrupt ur break which is why I like it. And if you get unloaded while on ur ten hr use it again to find parking or simply back to the staging area to finish ur ten hr. You seem to be doing a very good job. Nice videos and love that dog. Spoil him as much as possible.

    First company I worked for gave me a load with 7 stops with a flatbed. I got in a tricky situation where the 3rd stop's load was partially under the 5th stop's load, and they refused to touch the 5th stop's load to get their load off. So I had to continue about 50mi to get the 5th stop's load off, then back track to get the 3rd stop's load off. That was a fun one.
    The whole load consisted of about 30 different boxes, so that was a fun one to strap down. On top of that, the original shipper in Arizona wanted me to tarp it. It was summer time, and the whole route was clear skies all the way. I almost passed out on top the load due to the heat since I'm a northerner not used to Arizona's high temperatures. When I got to the second destination which was still owned by the same company, I got their stuff off, they added a few more packages for the rest of the deliveries, I put the rolled up tarps on top my load (just in case the weather wanted to rain somehow), waited for them to go home, then continued my route the rest of the way without tarping, lol
    I've never had a load that messy before (as far as stops go), and never had one like that ever again with a long distance truck.

    I was going to ask you if you still having truck issues?!
    Here is what maybe wrong with your truck.
    You cables/wires that are touching each other and or rubbing the frame (chasis). You need a mechanic with lots of patience that can look through the wires/cables and see which have lost its isolation. Basically the wires are naked (got old and started cracking) and now they are either touching or rubbing each other or the the frame of the truck. Check ABS wiring behind the fifth wheel they run cross the beams. That seems to be your issue. You could have multiple wires that are rubbing naked - 3/4 wires that needs fixing.

      @@AndriaSmith-gp6ms well typically you have to start with the big companies like your swift or job hunt usually smaller companies want experience due to insurance once you get a little bit of time in atleast 6 months to a year in the smaller companies will start looking at you. When your with those big companies you want to try and do like reefer (refrigerated goods) fleets because once you go to another company reefer typically pays better then your general freight that comes in a dry van the regular 53 foot trailers. I run flat bed which typically pays better but it’s a lot more labor when loading and unloading. The first step is getting your license and then getting some experience with a big company then moving on. Most people start off with Swift or CR England because you can get your licenses through them you go to a 3-4 week school with them and then they hire you as soon as you get your license that is a good way to get your foot in the door
