My theory is that the darkness darkness fruit isnt the darkness fruit its that mythical zoan fruit creature yall named in the video i might be wrong but last i checked darkness isn't a element his zoan has a logia type of abilit to create darkness. I'm sorry to say but teach never eat more than one devil fruit, it so happen that the one he got had an extra ability to take the devil fruit power from one person to another.
What if his original personality is actually a good guy and his second personality took over the moment he saw the devil fruit and that’s what lead to him killing his crew mate, he was probably just as surprised when he came back.

Shanks being the final villain is also very likely! But the main reason i think it won't be him is because end story Luffy is going to be way more powerful than Shanks. I think the final villain is going to have HAX abilities. Haki or devil fruit abilities on there own won't win. It will have to be a balanced combination. @@HIWHYAIWYAGD
Great theory, a lot better than the cerberus theory. Though the theory I’m going with is that Blackbeard was from the same winter island that Vegapunk was from and was tested on, also would explain how Blackbeard got his hands on a devil fruit encyclopedia. Also remember back on Drum Island, it was Luffy that said that people from winter islands never sleep or else they’d die. I also just don’t see how certain mythical zoan fruits would allow one to consume more devil fruits. That’d be way too overpowered and Orochi’s devil fruit was completely wasted, though not completely as it gave him 7 extra lives.
I mean you have to remember that finding a devil fruit in the first place is EXTREMELY rare. Like we’ve seen about over 200 and there are millions of people that live in this world. If you have like say 10 million people that’s a 0.002% chance of having a devil fruit. There are more then 200 with the show still going but still it’s not likely to find 1 let alone 2. It also took Blackbeard 20+ years on Whitebeards crew to find another devil fruit, that wasn’t a zoan because it’s not like Whitebeard had a ton of fruit users. All I can remember are Jozu, Marco, and Ace (one of each fruit) so it’s not like they were just popping up like for Big Moms crew or Doffy. The fruit as described, only really works if you have other fruits, which would explain why even if he had a mythical zoan he had to remain hiding because he wasn’t strong enough to make a move. So I don’t really see it as broken, more like high risk high reward.

My theory is that he used his darkness fruit to put Whitebeard’s fruit into one of his rings. We’ve seen other weapons and objects have devil fruits, so it’s not really a stretch to say that the tremor fruit is inside his ring. Which would also allow for teach to have more devil fruits in more rings.

I mean, BB has been sporting 3 different sets of teeth. I think the 3 personality theory is correct. The his chatacter changes from coward to willing to risk his life is also self-evident. This could also mean he has 3 hearts, where where each personality resides in its own heart. Not sure if the vid menions this, can't watch it all yet. But, there's also a "333vil"... i think that's how it's spelled, who had this same theory about that mythical zoan creature thingy a while back. Not sure who had it first, though.
If you’re referencing the manga then that can just be inconsistencies in Oda’s drawing. I mean it wouldn’t be the first time, look at Kaido Vs Luffy in the manga and you’ll see Oda forgot to draw the scar Zoro gave him 90% of the time

Maybe somehow kid BB was in GV hiding behind some bushes while watching Rocks kill a Gorosei with the Z-something fruit powers, making a new fruit appear in the bushes where BB was hiding, and at the same time, making Rocks an inspiration for him

I agree with the theory, but the laughing part is a MASSIVE stretch IMO. Luffy doesn't laugh like "hito hito" or "gomu gomu" nor does chopper, Enel doesn't laugh like "goro goro" Kaido doesn't laugh like "uo uo" or "seiryu", big mom doesn't laugh like "soru soru" etc etc. Laughter does not equal ones devil fruit just because we have a few cases of people laughing like that.

That's an interesting point, and would be a cool counterpart to Nika. The only issue here is that he was considered weird (or at least his body was) since his childhood (vide Buggy), and if the Yami fruit is actually the Bai Ze fruit, what would explain that weirdness?

I'm sold on this, the number 3 is a recurring theme for Black Beard and it would be odd if he didn't had 3 df, one of each group.
BB's alluded multiple personalities and unusual anatomy could be down to him being a modified human like the Germa Siblings with him having the fusion devil fruit that is currently the powers of the Charlotte Dectuplets.
Oda said in an SBS that Blackbeard would be an archeologist if he wasn't a pirate, so it's likely he has tried to read the ancient language on the poneglyphs.

I have a theory that Saturn might also be two people or something like blackbeard, from what saturn said he “doesn’t remember the last time he was on the surface” why would he say this if we know he was on God Valley why would he not remember being on the surface during the GV incident? also with the way he came out of the ritual circle in the floor I think the two are connected I also think if the gorosei can all do this ritual circle Blackbeard can too in his own way which is why he can have multiple devil fruits and I think could be likely if Blackbeard is on Egghead (i ain’t watch any of the video yet but had this theory for a couple days)
I'm sold, and it aligns with the direction of the story and I think this is it. However, i would absolutely love it more if he had the kraken fruit. It's just such a perfect fruit for a pirate themed story too. I just imagine a giant smiling kraken with a beard, with quake and darkness balls at the end of the tentacles, like how epic would that be...
yeah i agree - more classical pirate stuff. but OP has been moving away from that for a long time. Oda certainly loves studying religions, mythology and history - the direction of using mythical devils from real life for the end game characters seems to fit the overall direction

My theory would be.
BB is capable of using multiple DF due to him consuming their Heart (where the devil power resides) and blood ( where DF lineage is obtained like how VP cloned DF) with the help of his Dark Dark DF and his vast knowledge of DF.
Would explain why we didnt see any change from Whitebeard. Whitebeard already had a hole in his chest that Blackbeard could take it out.

This makes sense. I remember when Teach made his first appearance and he had a competition with luffy and later met him outside to talk about chasing dreams. Then after all that and seeing Teach again in later episodes and he was almost a completely different character. It was at this moment that I thought to myself that Teach has split personalities (dissociative disorder) and that's why he's been able to claim another devil fruit power. I never thought about his unique laugh though so this was interesting.

Maybe this devil fruit could obtain even more souls if they are compatible. There's BlackBeard's soul, Xebec soul and another one. We could get more info at the end of the God Valley flashback! If he finds another compatible soul, maybe he could obtain another devil fruit. Maybe he could obtain all the devil fruits of his whole crew? He and his crew gets defeated in the Laugh Tale battle royale but he comes back for the final battle with a huge powerboost. Maybe the awakening of this fruit allows + the darkness fruit allows him to tame any devil fruit souls to have an unlimited amount

So there is a possibility Teach’s laugh is based on his devil fruit. Especially considering his laugh is not shared by another character as it is with other characters

What an exciting theory! If “god” fruits exist in one piece then demon or devil devil fruits must exist as well. Titling these super powers as “devil” fruits has been the greatest and first mystery of one piece. Introducing the yonkai with the cg’s is the start to uncovering these mysteries. Blackbeards fighting style has always been weird, he just seems to take damage. With the latest ch we saw saturn purposely take damage and watch the blood disappear. Black beard having a yonkai fruit would give him similar powers. What if the god and devil type fruits exist inside the person, similar to tailed beast in naruto. The god fruits like nikaa chose there weilder then give them free will, similar to western theology. If blackbeard like luffy got this fruit early on. Perhaps the yonkai has laid out the plan for blackbeard and used its knowledge to guide blackbeard. He always seems to uave the upperhand with brilliant strategies but also seems like a dumb ass who wouldn’t design such an intricate plot. Also, say shanks pushed him to reveal his yonkai fruit in the fight, then it makes total sense reporting to the gorosei who also have yonkai fruit. A secret that all pirates except for shanks dont know

What if Shanks vaguely figured out BBs DF after fighting him and getting his scars from him?
This could also explain why BB has been made a Yonko - the elders see BB as a real big threat and wanted to put him on top of the hunted list so that maybe some pirates can either confirm Shanks' observation or maybe weaken BB enough to take him out like they tried with Luffy by sending in Ryoku to get rid of "nika"

As a side note too add too this black beards child photos has him with bandages on his sides where the faces would be. We have never seen black beard without his coat. He could have the faces on his hips.
This sorta reminds me of the story that each person has 3 hearts/ masks that we show to people, the first heart/ mask is the one reserved for family and how they see us the second heart/ mask being the one we show to friends, acquantices and strangers, while the last heart/ mask is the one we keep hidden from everyone even ourselves most the time, I believe it was a chinese philosophy/ proverb, but i could also be remembering things slightly wrong as well

i can see this being the case and maybe BB had to awaken his mythical zoan first in order to consume other fruits which is why he waited for so long. Him hididing whilst taking WBs df maybe was due to him transforming in order to eat the df or maybe only he has knowlege on how to transfer a df from one user to the other and didnt want everyone to know. Either blackbeard mustve eaten a df to be able to have more than one as its not possible

The scars on shanks' theory is great. The weapon BB had with 3 blades, the spacing between them is at least 2mins. The scars are closer together and all within the space the eye occupies. It does seem more like an animals claws than a weapon mark.

My personal theory was that his first devil fruit was a zoan cow cow fruit. That way he has 4 stomachs, first one taken by the cowcow df, then his darkness df. Then the white beards. This way he has room for just one more to be taken.
Cows aren’t the only ones though. A cow zoan would be a type of ox-ox fruit. The bison and the giraffe models also have 4 stomachs.
And it’s not just them. Sheep, cattle, goats, deer, giraffes and llamas are ruminant animals. Ruminant means that they have a four-chambered stomach.
Also to be more precise, their stomach have 4 chambers. It’s one organ. Like how your heart has 4 chambers, and other animals have 2

Look back at the four gods mentioned in Skypiea:
Sun god (Luffy)
Rain God (most likely Dragon)
Forest God (most likely Imu with where he is so often depicted)
Land God (Blackbeard with this 3 souled, earthquake making Yokai)
With the final battle likely putting Rain and Sun against Forest and Land.
there’s also the possibility that it’s not a devil fruit and another race entirely. maybe demons. and BB might be related to, or made from, the gorosei

I'm wondering if the nature is that he has mixed genetics, from multiple races. Perhaps each genetic race can take on a mutation from a specific fruit without interfering with the others. Though might that not make the Buccaneer's able to do the same?
So maybe shanks killed teach once and only one of his souls left so he got back up and attacked shanks by surprise and gave him his scar

Bai ze helped the Yellow Emperor (Sun?) to defeat all the demons with his knowledge of their powers; the yellow emperor, the warrior king helped by the Bai Ze was born of his mother watching a bright light over a star (Sun, again) and she carried him for 24 months - just like Portgas D. Ace. Maybe Blackbeard will have more relation to the Revolutionary Army - Sabo inherited Ace's will, the one with the birthing time of the Yellow Emperor, and he unified China by ultimately beating Chi You with the help of a Dragon.
I seen this theory awhile ago on 333vils and was pretty much sold instantly channel but the Gods valley flashback doubled down with those six boxes and since the races were being hunted maybe there was an extra Buccaneer and Rocks inadvertently saved Teach from death becoming his hero perhaps following him after the incident ending up near the 6 prize chests and that’s where Roger and Garp convened inadvertently with the rocks crew Roger n Co didn’t team with Garp as much as their wanting the treasure themselves and having Garp as the equalizer being the only way to beat the crew that would have otherwise came out on top easily. Garp was likely the one who put shanks in the chest to protect him while they fought and he doesn’t speak about that day because the box was missing in the aftermath and he is an idiot not realizing that the Red Haired pirate he hates for corrupting Luffyvis that very same boy. I wear size 7 1/2 chef hats thank you

Shanks's fight with Kid makes me think he trained his haki and future sight to that advance because he feels like he need to take out BB superfast or else.

That would explain his 3 souls, give access to DF knowledge, history, and the baize fruit (if proven to exist). Hell, he might even be a failed experimental clone/has DNA to Rocks D. Xebec. @11:27. To build on that theory and the rivalry between Luffy and blackbeard, I saw a great theory about how Dragon is actually Rocks’ son and luffys mom is Garps daughter, which would make Luffy and Blackbeard half brothers, adding to the narrative rivalry

Teaches devil fruit is like a storage system and restrain system as well. He probably eaten his first devil fruit before he met Whitebeard. Then when Zoro said they instead him I was confused and when Teach did his pirate flag it made whole lot of sense.

I didn't watch this video to the end.
But I have a simple but very strong hint to how he did it .
1) he is 2 guys not 3 . I don't know why everyone is speculating it being 3 when he clearly has only 2.
2) At Odens flashback. Buggy told Shanks that Blackbeard never slept since he was born . And buggy noticed he didn't sleep during the 3 days fight against whitebeard crew. Then shanks told him that means he is living twice as normal people. And he said it would be good to live 2 times per 1 lifespan.
This indicates strongly that Bb has some kind of alter ego. 2 different personalities that change between day and night.
He can also be the same person but living 2 lifespans at once. Which allowed him to live without wasting half of the lifetime sleeping. Also he could have some kind of a devil blood. Or being possessed.
Everything is speculation but the only thing that has some kind of relation to having 2 devil fruits is this scene of shanks and buggy interaction .
Basing this off the laugh is weak out the gate because I can give 4 examples of the laugh not matching a devil fruit vs the three you’re using to set up your theory. Big Mom has the Soru Soru no Mi but her laugh is “Mama! Mama!”, Kaido has the Uo Uo no Mi but his laugh is “Worororo!”, Moria has the Kage Kage no Mi but his laugh is “Ki-shishishi”, and Dr Hogback doesn’t even HAVE a fruit but his laugh is a goofy-ass “Fosh fosh fosh!”. For every example of a laugh matching a fruit, they’re are just as many if not more examples of a laugh NOT matching to a fruit.
6:50 even better, he doesn't need to read the poneglyph. Odds are, he already knows them, through his fruit
about how blackbeard got the fruit as a kid (because somehow i don't like the idea of teach being related to Rocks, seems too obvious)

This is some interesting theories. I see it, but regarding pudding I do think they got her for the poneglyphs. Cause they have big mama's poneglyph right? If not are they trying to use her image fruit to pull up the poneglyph?
Shanks explained already how blackbeard gave him that scar. Shanks was talking to whitebeard and blackbeard hid in whitebeards shadow and jumped out from behind whitebeards shadow and cut shanks eye. Shanks explained this when he was talking to whitebeard and ace was going after blackbeard.

Isn’t this a 3 year old theory? I remember seeing it on Reddit a long time ago. It now seems even more likely now that we know the gorosei are mythical zoans and that shanks was worried about him before he ate the darkness fruit
That makes sense, maybe he doesn’t need to sleep because another soul just takes over while the others sleep.
I think it should be pointed out that Blackbeard isn't the only character we see "consume" more than one fruit. If you go back to Punk Hazard and look at Smiley, it ate a devil fruit and was absorbed by Caesar Clown. When a devil fruit user is eaten their fruit power is transferred to the consumer, which begs the question of whether eating another devil fruit actually could kill you or not given how Caesar Clown was alive lone after Punk Hazard. So this can mean one of two things, either the extra fruit equals death rumor is a hoax or fruit users can infact consume more than one fruit by proxy, meaning they consume an extra fruit through unorthodoxed methods.
