Fun video!!! If I could suggest, Next time you make dumplings maybe try minced raw fish instead of steaming it first ... Might help with the texture. They looked amazing 😋😁

Both dishes looked phenomenal, very different and unique. Erin might consider adding some roasted pecans on top for contrast and texture. Roasted nuts just add that finishing touch. Keep the videos coming, l really enjoy watching you cook. Bon Appetit.

Awesome job both of y'all made beautiful plates they looked delicious that grouper key west waterman caught was beautiful tks for the video y'all take care.
Aaron, A cheap black rubber door mat on top of your cutting board. The best hack ever. The fish stays put, no slipping. Cleans with just a few shakes in the water. Take it on the boat..... Turns any flat surface into a cutting board. Nice clip. AGAIN. Thanks.
Make a time limit. Iron Chef is organized madness. Plus more courses would add elements of no planning. a twist would be fun. From two small channels great job guys. 👏 A add on to the catch and cook.
Loved this!! I was drooling over both dishes. I was seeing the dumplings as my appetizer & grouper as the main course. Since Aaron has the advantage of the boat, you should have the opportunity to buy at least some of your protein. A mixture of fish, lobster & stone crab dumplings would be killer!!

Jk . You did a great job to Will . Really love watching alot of your recipes . Bit the dishes were better than my roast beef from The Cracker Barrel Lol 🤣
New to your channel. I found you through Key West Waterman Aaron Young. I'm loving the cook offs!!! Keep doing what you're doing and we'll keep watching
Fantastic! I had a smile on my face throughout this double episode. You guys might want to consider raffling off the opportunity to be a guest judge on your next Iron Chef Challenge.
This was amazing, I’m a new subscriber from Aaron’s channel. Next time the judges need to come in after the food is plated so they can judge it blindly. They need to score not knowing who cooked what then you know for sure it’s not biased. Food looked amazing! ❤️
I think the dumplings would have worked if you used some chopped Napa cabbage, shitake mushrooms, soy sauce, and julienned carrots, and you are missing the main ingredient for gyoza, dark sesame oil. I know people have mixed feelings on their dumplings (some things can be fighting words). If you are judging sea food don't have a judge who doesn't like fish. Never have someone like me judge sushi or sashimi, I was stationed in Japan for 12 years, married to a Japanese woman yet never acquired the taste unless it was extremely mild and accompanied by a lot of Kirin Lager. I do love smoked salmon sushi (nowhere near raw fish) and sushi rice which I can eat stand alone. The videos were awesome thanks a lot Will and Aaron!
So when I’m picking the fish you’ll notice I had Napa cabbage there. I decided not to put it in for some reason. And the chili oil I put on was hot sesame oil actually! I appreciate the critique! And hey if you can convince someone who doesn’t like fish to eat it…. You win
@@CookingWithClams Ya man the dough was spot on and you taught me a new way to crimp the edges. Defiantly nailed the crispy bottoms for flavor as well. Will essentially made a sugar bomb with his sweet potato and maple syrup which would be hard to battle with ,especially not knowing what dish was to be made ...next Iron Chef battle same fish same sides... I challenge you...
I used to be in the same boat with Madeline for years regarding asian food/flavors and now I cant express how much I love that kind of food. Its like my tastebuds for it just switched one day I love it. Now I wish that would happen for seafood for me I still cant anything from the water. But it always looks so good wish my plate would change to like seafood so bad.
@@CookingWithClams Im hoping it can become an acquired taste! I made a resolution to try it whenever its offered to me but I dont go out of my way to obtain it. Dear Mr Cooking with Clams, I have watched and commented to Aaron Young for some time. If you are cooking with clams I have to assume you are from the North Atlantic. I am happy to be corrected if in error. Here in the north, the chowder season is upon us. I am 76 and have studied the chowder from my mother's knees til npw. The evolution of chowder base for me has arrived at a complex arrangement of clam broth, cream cheese, and roasted red pepper with a light hand of siracha and a big hand of black pepper. The protein might be clams, oysters, shrimp (with corn) or fish. I suspect chowder may not be a southern thing in the winter, but I do trust your judgement. You all work together well. I am reminded of a winter in Stuart, Fla. and catching fish in the Gulf Stream and picking oysters in the Indian River in 1970. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm for presenting the natural bounty with curiosity and appreciation. Davis Koier
I probably would have called a tie. Will won on plating. Aaron won on taste because of texture. You tied on creativity Aaron with the syrup and crab meat, and Will with the homemade dough. 😋 Wish we could have been the judges. Next time the judges can't see anything, a real blind test. Bring the judges in two the plates sitting on the table and no talking to them until they are done judging.
