I like this channel. The son is obviously a content genius but he keeps his father the star of the show because he is a star. Really wholesome content, enjoying you both.
I agree. This is what I imagine to be a non-dysfunctional Asian family. If I even proposed an idea like this to my dad (even on a reunion or smth) he will more than likely shame me in front of my relatives.
@@russellthescout9639Sorry to hear that buddy. Been through similar things. The only thing we can do about that is do better with our kids and learn through good examples like this. It's very healing for my inner child to watch non dysfunctional families. I am fine with my dad now not super close but it's aight. People change when they age...
I can't entirely agree, I think the son doesn't have much to say about the high-quality meals other than it 'tastes good'. Coming from someone who binges on Gordan Ramsey and other cooking shows I'd prefer if he was able to describe the flavour more.
I like how wholesome it is to see a father and son just talk and cook and I like how your dad doesn't just go crazy with salt and oil he tries to keep it healthy and tasty.
This Channel’s the Best! When Iron Chef Dad addresses the audience as “ Children….,” I feel like I’m his child ( even though I’m as old as him😂). Keep up the good content!
Man that was so cool. I love watching the different ways of cooking, learning quite a lot! Also, the comedic notes in this are gold 😂 😅 Thank you for great content!!
I like how you give him a 10 out of 10 at the end and he says “wow really?” like he genuinely values your opinion, even though he knows it’s perfect already 😂
Back in 2021 I had to quarantine in a hotel for 10 days, and we weren't allowed to order in food from outside. I'm not a big fan of cold sandwiches, but that's what they gave us for lunch every single day, and I had no way of heating it up in my hotel room. Or so I thought. I was complaining about the lunches to my mom one day and she asked, "Don't you have an iron?" I checked and yes, I did. "Just iron the sandwich!" "That's crazy," I told her. 'That's never going to work." But I had nothing left to lose at this point: it was either eat a sad, cold sandwich or take my chances with the broke-ass panini press. I felt dumb as hell putting food on my ironing board, but after a few minutes, I was eating my words _and_ a hot lunch! It worked like a charm!
I’ve thought about making a quesadilla or a grilled cheese with an iron after watching some of those prison cooking shows but pops made a whole Michelin star level meal??? Hoping to channel some of this skill tonight as I make my wife’s birthday dinner 😅
Something that would be really cool to see would be Iron Chef Lee cooking for some of the kids in Africa making a gourmet meal out of some of the stuff that they eat, but with his twist. I'm not trying to patronize him or anything like that, but something like that could inspire some of the kids to cook and take more of an interest in growing food. Check out some of the vids of these kids eating, it's heartwarming and I know that a chef like Iron Chef Lee could definitely appreciate something like that. He might even feel awkward for recording something but it would be very cool to show the fans and a very noble cause.
I only watch them and I'd give it 10. But yea. the iron chef is not satisfied because the plating (and cooking, as he is limited to 2 irons, even 1 when he need to cooked it well on both sides) timing is an issue. He really detailed everything to minute and not even comes as snob when saying that. Truly great man, father, and chef. Respect.
In the 90s I would've done anything to have this amount of access to the chefs I wanted to be like. I remember geeking out of pictures of their dishes. Trying to figure out how they did it, what the hell is that ingredient, etc. I'd be REALLY curious to know what it was like growing up with that level of dedication in your father. Did you ever think about cooking?
Your dad saying he can cook anything with heat or fire gave me an idea that would be awesome to see… make a video where he cooks everything over an open fire/ coals!
Your dad is really sweet guy I love watching him cook food out of nothing and plus point he's funny also to watch in agood way makes me laugh good luck with your channel
Resourcefulness is the cornerstone of any great chef.. Having great equipment to work with is great and all but what truly trsts a chef skills is, MOT having the most ideal circumstances to work with, while STILL making it work.. Well done!! **Chefs face from Jet said "flavor 6" 😂
Interesting fact about Irons.. You can also use them to deal with bed bugs.. use the steam function on the baseboards and around your mattress, etc... I used to use a steam wand but now I realize having an iron is a much more practical Idea... How else can we make Fajitas..

Even the comment section is wholesome.
It must be so difficult to create unique content, particularly with cooking. Talk about nailing the niche. Bravo
He really is an "Iron chef" now 😂 ❤
😂 😅
Bro got the whole squad laughing
@@ahmadhakimi7878 😂 that's a good one!
The Metalic Man😂
@@aravindaperera8706 🤣👏
Started watching this guy about 25 years ago and seeing him cook in his home for family is such a divine experience.
Dad made a dad joke and laugh by himself is the best thing 😂
You should give him a hello fresh meal kit without the recipe card and let him do his own thing with it!
That I would love to see!
Yes
great idea

Perfect dad as well 🤙
Since watching Iron Chef dad's UA-cam videos, I've been cooking way outside my comfort zone. Thank you for that Chef 😊

This is insane, pops is a WIZARD. That steak looks better then anything I could ever make even in a professional kitchen LOL.
He's now a real "Iron Chef"
We need a Jet vs. Kai vs. Levi cooking battle with Susur judging ❤
I fully believe this man can make anything good. Even with the most minimal equipment this guy WILL find a way to make an S Tier meal!
I always thought he was the fiercest of all the iron chefs. I never knew how wholesome and a great dad he is. Loving the content 👌
I am loving this channel! It's so nice to see an Iron Chef relaxing and sharing some quality time with his son.
I’m always in awe with IC Dad 🥰🥰🥰. A gourmet meal with just using an iron is mind blowing.
Man eats better off an Iron than I have in my whole life.
Another great vid dudes

That looked amazing - and the ingenuity is phenomenal 🙌
Your Dad looks amazing man. Any chance to ever get a summary of what he eats or what rules he follows for health? That would be so cool man
These videos make me so happy. Thank you.
I watched both long and short forms. Love the relationship this man has with his sons
I'm glad to see you two back on utube again. Much love.
He is having so much fun with it.
It’s so cute and hilarious how your dad’s face turns immediately after you give him a low rating.
Respect to Chef Lee!.. Bro your dad is great guy he loved everyone and always see the good side in everything, salute 🙏
Pure genius.
I was waiting for the long version of this video for a while 😂
Man that was so cool.
I love watching the different ways of cooking, learning quite a lot! Also, the comedic notes in this are gold 😂 😅 Thank you for great content!!
This is the best cooking video I've seen in a while. You got one more subscriber this was amazing
The dad jokes and puns are on point! Love you two
Love these videos. Always cheer me up
I love how excited he gets when cooking food. He has so much love for his craft!❤❤ I wish I had at least half of his skill. Lol
I like how you give him a 10 out of 10 at the end and he says “wow really?” like he genuinely values your opinion, even though he knows it’s perfect already 😂
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL. THIS MAN WAS MY WHOLE CHILDHOOD.
Omg I couldn't stop chuckling as I was watching this process. Chef Susur always coming up with totally bizarre but clever ideas!!!
This is a great demonstration of how this man is a true Iron Chef master. Great video.
This looks SO GOOD!!! And I just love him🥰
Thank you for making videos. Better than anything on mainstream tv hands down
really is awesome to see how excited you get trying new things like this. I aspire to be as ambitious and motivated in life.
pls do this as a series! let your dad cook on different appliances 🙏🏽
Somebody tell Jet to upload more often
Seeing the Iron chef create in new ways is so satisfying.
I love the longer videos. The shorts are good, but I like the process and seeing how it gets to looking good
"STIR STIR STIR" 😂... I'm never truly satisfied until I hear that.
Your dad just took Iron Chef to a whole new level
This is hands-down, one of the most creative things I’ve seen on UA-cam and a long time. Thank you for this I’m gonna go show everyone.
YESSS!! Love all of your videos but this one is so fun
Just found this channel. LOVE IT! ❤ lol. I grew up watching Iron Chef. Thank you!✌️

Remember having some hotels with no cooking stoves, and a clothes iron was all they had. Quesadillas were perfect for using a iron on. 👌
