I also feel like beauticians take too much length off. She did a great job showing how to cut it. My mother is a beautician and the only thing she did extra is pull each side down to check the length at each section right and left, front to back. I live in a different state now than her so I miss having her do it. Great demonstration! 🙆♀️
I trim the same way. I blow dry & it doesn't have to be bone straight to see the damage. 🤷🏿♀️ I was paying a professional & she was scared to get rid of the split ends. I would leave her shop & had to trim the rest off at home. I thank her for saving me 💰. 💯
i trim at home and this honestly made me realize i probably need to cut half an inch more & to have a smoother blow dry process. I havnt been a professional in 4 years bc she cut so much off , i did get layers but before i went i had already trimmed it a month before. so excited to trim it up & straighten 🙌🏾😊HEALTH over length
Hey pretty lady! Thanks for this video. I immediately trimmed my hair yesterday after watching this. I’d been wanting to do it, but wasn’t sure how to go about it. You helped me feel comfortable so thank yooouuuu 🤗 Your hair looks absolutely beautiful! 😍
Thank you for this video.I finally took the plunge and trimmed my hair!! My ends were looking raggedy, I love the freedom of being able to have a brush go through my hair w/o pulling!!
You did an AMAZING job. Definitely going to learn how to trim my own hair. My regular stylist left my city. Went to a another stylist who literally botched my trim. Went to another stylist after that who corrected the previous trim but wound up CUTTING about 4 inches off of my hair. Going to study what you did and just do it myself from now on. Thank you for sharing!!
I’m so excited to watch this! I literally just blew out my hair yesterday and did a trim. Couldn’t believe the growth and so excited to do my WnG now! Your content is absolutely top notch! Keep at it please! ❤
Your length is ideal. The last time I paid for a professional trim, I get a super chop. 10+ years natural and my hair is above my ears due to choppers. I’m ticked and ready to trim my own. Over time, those I trusted have left the salon or gone to new salons that aren’t convenient for me to get to.
This is such a great video. Thank you so much! It makes trimming feel less scary which it shouldn’t be as it is a necessary part of hair grooming. ❤ it’s amazing how much fuller and healthier your hair looks after the trim!
I've been trimming my own and my family's hair. Not a pro but 2 of us have mid back length healthy hair now. I won't say I'll never will go to a pro. But I stay away as long as I possibly can. Super bad experiences.
I love this you did a wonderful job we are natural you don’t have to cut a lot just as long as you can brush it with out it feeling hard or rough This is how I do my hair I need new hair scissors ❤
Initially I was like ooow, she's said she's not afraid to trim her hair so it will be an actual trim then you started and I said hmmmm. You did say you'd be taking off more on the top than the bottom and that you did!!! True to your word...EXCELLENT JOB!!!
I cut about 3.5in off over the weekend , I find myself enjoying “trims” I just want to keep cutting and cutting lol 😅 but your hair feels so much better afterwards! I wear a lot of protective styles so cuts/trims never bother me
I cut the relaxer from my hair. But when my hair is wet I see straight ends. It too short now to go to a professional. I called a natural hair salon quote a price. When my hair grows longer I’ll get a trim. I was told for wash it’s $20 and for trim is $50. I’ll go to barber and get my hair trimmed.
Looks great! I trim my own hair now b/c I had my sister do it and she cut all my length off to be funny. Now, I just try to see closely near the back and do it myself, unless I get it done professionally.
Who needs to really pay a stylist to trim your own hair? It's so easy and takes little time. I did it a few days ago and trimmed about an inch to an inch and a half of split ends all the way around my head like she did. Big difference. It looks so much better and healthier. Then I'll just let it grow out and do its thing. Any future trims will be just small dustings of the ends every 6 months.
I’m scared to get my hair done.my hair was mid back and the hair stylist cut my hair to my ears t and burnt my hair out and covered it up I noticed when I got home two weeks later to wash my hair a big bald stop 😢
Omg mine was to my waist line got a trim it to my bra strap I’ll never step foot into a shop again i grew it so long 😩😩😩 I hate I even let some her in my head
Finally someone not afraid to properly trim their hair! Bad ends must go. Well done.
no
This affected my growth journey because my hair had bad split ends and I was too scared to do a full trim when I would go to a hairstylist
I started trimming my own hair last week, don’t trust people trimming my hair because they cut too much off
I understand! I have had some bad experiences in the past

This ' professional ' literally gave me a hair cut & its uneven i been crying for days . She literally cut off like 8 months of growth .
@@ririthequeen_ps4224 oh no, wow yeah I cut my own. These hairstylist are scissor happy
So true had this happen and never again
Excellent job, I like how u weren't afraid to trim. Hair grows back

Wash n gos are always a hit after a fresh trim 🙌🏾 and thank you so much ❤️
I like simple videos! I think it is easier to trim the hair when longer like yours.
True! When my hair was a short cut(about an inch) I got it trimmed at the salon

How serendipitous, I’m also trimming my hair and its an arm workout!
It really is!
Ends look really nice after the trim.

They legit be cutting your healthy hair off lol never going back
@@LuckyLucky-yh7xdSo true.
SAME!! And unlike maybe decades ago, now we see pics from the past in multiple selfies. We have visual logs of our growth or lack thereof.
I love trimming vids. I'm sure your hair felt so good afterwards. ❤️

This was so satisfying
Please before you blow-dry your hair, did u add a leave in conditioner?
Like is it necessary to moisturize the hair using LCO before blow-drying?
Before blow drying I used chi silk infusion and chi heat protectant

Our hair is the same length and yet my curls shrink to my ears like LIFE ISNT FAIR 😭😂 Beautiful hair as always girl! 💕
Shrinkage is healthy.
