The body then uses cholesterol to patch the scratches. Over time cholesterol build up narrows the blood vessels causing high blood pressure. That’s why fast food using table salt causes more blood pressure problems than Himalayan salt or Celtic salt. Please reconsider and research in more detail.

In 2010 I had 2 transient strokes that were caused by afib an abnormal heart beat that causes clots. Prior to this, I had been on a standard American diet. I was turning 40 when the strokes occurred. Little did I know then that I was also developing artery disease and had alot of inflammation in my heart. After being hospitalized for strokes, I was on a pharmaceutical blood thinner and I was unable to stabilize my heart no matter how much I reformed my diet. Then I was led to cayenne as a natural blood thinner but not taken in capsules as that it too harsh on stomach lining. Rather sprinkled on food or pinches on the tongue. The enzymes in saliva prepare the stomach so there is not this harsh reaction. Also cayenne travels from tongue to heart almost instantly and helps nourish the heart with a good supply of blood. It also increases saliva which helps enzymes production. When It comes to oils and fats, I struggled many years trying to understand which ones were safe for the heart. Since my hospitalization and the meds [even though they were short term, they impacted my nervous system causing my afib condition to be most chronic. My 3 children were still quite young and the added stress & responsibilities made it harder to recover. So by 2015 much damage to my heart from all the afib had occurred and I had my first minor heart attack. It was through this attack and several subsequent ones that I learned that omega 6 fats which are in all heated oils and roasted nuts and seeds are very inflammatory to the heart and trigger the artery spasms I was having. At the time I was also haphazard about taking my natural blood thinners to prevent strokes. I used them in place of the pharmaceutical coumadin that had made me feel so weak and cause hair loss. The Cayenne, ginger root, turmeric and occasional organic apple cider vinegar diluted in water. Garlic was not an option for thinning my blood since it lowers potassium which is crucial for a normal sinus heart rhythm. So if I had butter, cheese, dairy products, refined flours or refined sugar, then these scary minor heart attacks would happen in the middle of the night. It got so bad that by 2018, I could not even lie down at night to sleep safely. My artery was so worn out and the nitric oxide depleted that my oxygen would sink dangerously low causing more and more artery spasms [the 5th type of heart attack]. Finally in 2020 I started consuming beets and beet juice to get nitric oxide gas into the endothelial cells that line my arteries. This oxygen rich gas opens up the arteries beautifully and increases blood flow and reverses hardening of arteries. Still my battle wasn't over as life happened and various stresses seemed to add to the challenge of a heart that had been remodeled by decades of chronic afib. Consequently, in October I suffered a couple silent strokes. Different from the numbness and brief forgetting how to walk of 2010, these were dementia like confusion. It was then that in desperation I turned to certain UNREFINED and UNHEATED oils to heal my brain of this injury. I found that the more pure and wholesome clean my diet was, the more I could tolerate these fats. In 2020 a loved one had given me some inexpensive fish oil. I could tell it had been heated and processed to conceal an unpleasant fishy smell. This made the oil highly inflammatory and I felt the effects immediately in the night and could not lie down. On the other hand, UNREFINED and UNHEATED black seed oil, doterra frankincense oil, UNHEATED and UNREFINED coconut oil are wonderful for helping brain recovery and my heart has no ill effects. So I think it boils down to the quality of the oils and them not being heated. If one does not have heart disease, I think a moderate amount of heated oil [good palm oil that is unrefined] would be safe. It is my unprofessional but personal experience derived opinion that someone who's had heart disease is a type of test pilot for these fats. Early on, after my first heart attack I could see a pattern
      It went something like this:
First heart attack...triggered by inexpensive unorganic beef .
Second heart attack triggered by butter on air popped popcorn.
3rd attack from refined pasta with cheese baked.
4th heart attack sugary granola cereal with milk on it
5th attack things definitely worse in arteries by 2018 was taking a synthetic D3 supplement and had no K2 in my diet. This caused inflammatory response to be triggered by exercise and anything strenuous
6th attack came from lying down to sleep from reduced oxygen in my sleep.
...I'm still currently avoiding animal products [except occasional organic free range soft boiled eggs]. I have a vitamin C deficiency even though I eat alot of raw plant foods. And anyone with this deficiency is allergic to the type of protein in beef. It is a trigger to enzymes that trigger heart attacks. In 2021 I tried grass fed Buffalo and had an artery spasm that night. So I'm playing it safe. No chicken either. I eat lentils, blackeyed peas and other legumes and unroasted nuts and seeds. I presoak all legumes and grains so that any lectins or nutrients inhibitors are removed from 12 + hours of soaking and sometimes sprouting.
Fermenting steel cut oats and black rice is also a good way to protect the heart. Fermented saurkraut and fermented soybeans provide k2 which guides calcium into bones and teeth and away from arteries. The fermented grains produce B12 and B6 which help reverse enlarged heart.

I would be remiss if I did not include that in the nitric oxide beet juice I'm consuming [made in a vitamix blender] I also add one whole lemon. If it's an organic lemon, I leave the yellow rind intact. If it's not organic, I take a sharp potato peeler and thinly remove just the yellow, carefully reserving as much of the white pith as possible. The whites of Lemons and all citrus are so healing and strengthening to all capillary and vein walls. They are rich in bioflavanoids that synergize with the vitamin C in the citrus juice to strengthen the vascular walls. This also improves flavor of the beet root that can often taste too earthy. The lemon gives it a more refreshing taste.
Additionally I might add that during one of my more painful and debilitating afib episodes I tried to substitute the fresh beet juice with

By 11 am I finally had some fresh beet juice with lemon. Immediately I could feel the intense pain lift as the arteries opened up from the nitric oxide and within an hour I was back in normal sinus rhythm.

In 2018, a re-evaluation was published in the EFSA Journal which assured the consumer that ferrocyanide salts are perfectly safe to consume at the established, regulated levels. The levels have to be regulated, because (quote from the Abstact):"The kidney appeared to be the target organ for ferrocyanides toxicity and 4.4 mg sodiumferrocyanide/kg bw per day was identified as the NOAEL for the renal effects in a chronic (2-year) study in rats. Assuming that the toxicity of this compound is due to the ferrocyanide ion only, the Panel established a group acceptable daily intake (ADI) for sodium, potassium and calcium ferrocyanide of 0.03 mg/kg bw per day expressed as ferrocyanide ion.

It's been my only salt for a few years now. My episodes are shorter and less painful. I'm also getting alot of nitric oxide with beets and organic beet greens and other vegetables. So I get my sodium from vegetables and eating organic potatoes, tomatoes, kiwi, and bananas for potassium. Ive eaten this diet for a while but wasn't getting a breakthrough because I was sprinkling the Himalayan on my vegetables.

I have been using Himalayan pink salt for about two years and I’m yet to see the best of it…there are chunks of white rocks in the pink salt which has no flavour which tells me something isn’t right…. Some of the main salts taste salty at first then become flavourless …. You have to use too much of hem to get a flavour…. Which isn’t right …..Hence why with the alternative salts you keep adding more to get that flavour that was once known… 👀 I’m yet to find a decent salt to use…. Any salt if used too much will cause HBP …. What about black salt? Is that any good?

Where I get it it's not that expensive. The reports are that sea salt has microplastics nanoparticles these can actually get inside your cells and interfere with your endocrine system. Every time you wash your polyester shirt these plastics go down into the ocean and they become part of the salt 90% of table salt is reported to have these plastics in it. That's why I like to get mined salt, this ancient salt is from before the industrial revolution so it's fairly clean. They can't figure out why the body temperature of whales has dropped. Is plastic a metabolite? What function does it serve in a cell other than just to get in the way and block the normal functioning of your cells? For iodine why not try Dulse or Nuri or other seaweeds? McGill University did a study. They took a nylon tea bag brewed the tea and then dried it out and put it under a microscope and counted millions of plastic nanoparticles. There's another study and they dried human blood and found plastic nanoparticles in that too it's in us. So if you don't believe that then I suggest you do some research on that. Meanwhile enjoy eating about a credit card sized chunk of plastic every week of your ongoing life.

Sea salt has a lot more taste, a better flavor profile, compared to plain mineral salt. (more minerals)

Micro plastics are in every salt except Himalayan in Celtic salt that’s why I spend the extra three dollars

It's rare I add any salt at all. I seem to be one of the few who have problems with salt.

@@drjoetvMD That's not easy. My mom would salt her food when we went out to eat before even tasting it. So I developed a taste for it early in life.

@L R Yes, I know people like that who would without fail add salt on the table even before tasting the food. I have never understood their line of reasoning or should I say seasoning 😂😂

I don’t use Himalayan salt or Norton salt, Norton salt is over processed and was pushing my BP up so it’s out of diet since 2016. I’ve been using Celtic salt and my BP is like when I was a teenager. I watched a scientist once who said of all the salt Celtic has all its minerals and it’s not processed. Maybe you could also do a comparison of Celtic salt as well…
