anima mundi was my favorite movement of anyone's show in 03. the intensity of SCV's drum line will forever be one of the most memorable things about this show to me. and i'm a hornline guy. love how the snareline dude getting it at the very end of the finals DVD was also throwing down here in rehearsal...gotta practice how you perform!
Wow. Thanks for this! I marched the tube line that year. I remember it being a few good days in Virginia. Current corps members should look and this and see how little dancing there is...we marched, baby. And it hurt. I was in the best shape of my life (long distance track athlete) and 140 pounds at 18 years old. I still wanted to die after every show. Also that drum line was something special. Great guys with the best attitudes and talent. I always enjoyed being around them on the field.
I agree, I marched Blue Knights in 2009, it was just marching no dancing. My heart was about to explode after every show. I came out of that summer super skinny, not a trace of fat in me.

Damn I miss when corps marched this much. I don’t think the kids today could handle it.
