I agree.. I feel like I’m all good with what I have currently but if the technology gets better and people get a lot better results I would reconsider getting bottom surgery😊✌️
well bc if you say you're a transgender man you would think that person no longer has a vagina and now has a penis. Correct me if I'm wrong though. I just don't understand how changing your appearance and taking testosterone makes you no longer a female.
Dutchy & Shaw D&M This might not make much sense but I’ll try. Trans people suffer from what’s called gender dysphoria which, in short, means your brain and body are different. In your brain you develop as one gender but your body has developed differently to that. Because of this trans people often start to hate their bodies, dislike their voice, etc. To alleviate some of the hatred/discomfort that trans people feel about the difference between their mind and body you need to make them match each other in one way or another. (Make the outside match the inside basically). Currently there is no known way to change the way that your brain is, so it’s easier for trans people to change their appearance, take hormones and sometimes get surgery to change their body to match their brain. While technically a trans mans body was female, his mind never really was. Trans men aren’t really “no longer a female” because their mind was never female anyway

I think it's really great to see you and other trans UA-camrs talk openly about this! Transition can look so different for everyone for a huge variety of reasons and sometimes the media seems to only give us that one "every surgery possible" narrative. Thanks for always being so honest!
I'm hoping that by the time I can actually get bottom surgery there will have been improvements to make it safer. Regardless of that though, I am going to get it when I can because I can't live with this dysphoria.

I stumbled upon you somehow here on the interwebs and I gotta say, I am a cis woman and I enjoy your videos because you are easy to listen to and learn from. I have trans and non-binary friends that I don’t know well enough yet to really talk about any of this personal stuff, and I absolutely appreciate the education you are putting out there. So thanks!
Yeah, if I were a trans guy, especially a gay trans guy, I think I would just keep the original equipment. Top surgery seems like a no brainer. It doesn't seem that complicated. As long as you reach a point that you're comfortable and happy with your life. Take it one step at a time and measure your happiness along the way, weight the pros and cons.
They have improved over the years with function and complication rates. So here's hoping they will continue to improve. Especially with the scar. That arm scar is definitely something that holds me back because scars are stories and I don't want the story I'd carry to be like oh you weren't born right so you had to take a chunk out of your arm to fix it.
This is super interesting and informative. As a cis woman, I've never had to consider these surgeries but I did think about what it would be like to need them. It makes sense that not everyone would be willing to go through all that, with the risk of not being 100% happy with the results (looks, sensations...). Obviously, many trans men have had the surgery and are very content with it, but I feel like it's important to hear your take on it. You're a man, botton surgery or not.
Me, for 2 decades: having a dink would be great My history with multiresistant, borderline chronic bladder infection: I‘m about to ruin this mans whole career
I'm really happy to know that someone feels like me. I don't like this part of my body but I would not be satisfied with the phaloplastie cause of the danger and the result. It's a personal opinion and I know that this surgery helped many men to feel better but I think it's not for me. Maybe one day we'll find a good solution.
I totally understand where you're coming from. I honestly wish I didn't want bottom surgery- but as soon as I got top, the bottom dysphoria hit me like a brick wall. Honestly, the more I look at surgeries, the more I'm amazed that I even live in a time in history where I have access to surgery, you know? HOWEVER, we really need to stop centering being trans around wanting/getting specific surgeries or medical treatments. We all have a different relationship with gender and our bodies, and its not your business how someone wants to live in their body.
I was born with a disability that has no cure etc. I don’t have options and that’s ok with me, I guess it helps to become comfortable with my disabledness. Lol
Thank you for not bashing bottom surgery results saying it “doesn’t look real”. All your points are valid, but I’d like to touch on the last one from my point of view. It is of course your opinion, but here’s the thing, having a cis penis just isn’t possible. I’m not trying to trigger anyone, but expecting it to be like that is just wrong. Top surgery results are not cis, and sensation is not guaranteed either. Both surgeries are attempting to look as “cis” as possible but it’s never going to be cis. Knowing that it has made it easier for me to accept getting bottom surgery. At the end of the day it is a dick, not a cis dick but that’s all that matters. Aside from that I can totally understand why someone wouldn’t want to go through a major surgery due to recovery/complications and the whole skin graft situation.
Actually youre not entirely correct. They are currently figuring out ways to give a trans man a cis mans penis. Literally. Like an organ donor, but. A penis donor? Theyve had succesfull cis man to cis man transplants, so theyre figuring out how they can go cis man to trans man. Everything is possible with out technology as its only getting better and better
@@gatorfan556 Yeah they are doing that but it means being on immunosuppressants for the rest of your life, so it's not really this great solution it's made out to be.
Honestly, I feel the same way. I'm not too dysphoric about my genital area anymore since T made it way more bearable, but yeah, if I could, I would get a penis, but I'm not satisfied witht the current options. I don't want to mess up my arm. I don't want to have anything foreign in my body (like a pump). I don't want to have intensive surgery with high risks of complications. I don't want a penis that can't do half the things the real one does. I'm just not into it. I'm personally waiting for them to developp the stem cells route, so they could grow a penis form our cells. That would be fantastic. Unfortunately, seems like that's not happening any time soon.
Notdog1996 we'll keep fighting for it. And working gonads, producing both viable sperm *and* testosterone, so you don't need to keep taking synthetic T.
I think your reasons are perfectly valid and truly makes a ton of sense. A 50% chance of complications is truly quite high. Obviously the choice is your choice. Its your body and as long as you are happy then thats all that matters. I started watching your vids a couple of days ago and I personally want to thank you for educating me and for your absolute honesty. I personally have nothing against trans, gay, bi, etc and you have truly expanded my knowledge base so thank you so much.
It's not even just about looking at the arm scar and being reminded you're trans (for me), but I've already got a bunch of self-harm scars, and scars in all forms are very triggering for me, plus hating my body and having such a visible scar possibly giving me more reasons to hate myself - man.. Being trans and also gay sucks. I'm honestly happy for when I'll finally be in testosteron, but I'm scared of possible future boyfriend's because I'm as gay as one can be and for them to break up because dowm there I'm not..well, what a cis gay man would want to see😕
i can safely say that a lot of cis men will be fine without you having bottom surgery. im ftm and have been with quite a few cis men, and the majority haven't cared because they knew i didn't have bottom surgery. there's lot of cis men that are okay with that, you just have to look for them :).
Thank you Noah for being so honest and brave. Because you talk about these topics so openly, people who have doubts can solve them. I’m just so curious about all this stuff because for me it’s like unknown and I want to know more about it so I can understad better people in situations like this.
Im sorry if you felt forced to talk about it, being asked so many times! Either way thanks for edumacating me about bottom surgery, im glad youre in a relatively healthy state of mind (dysphoria wise) to decide that you dont want to risk the complications. Hope your dysphoria gets better though after top surgery! Im excited for you :D
Honestly I’m the same, vaginoplasty while, probably better when it comes to how tough it can be to recover, but I feel like now science isn’t far enough for me to be able to get it. Big mood. Relatable 110%
Always enjoy your chats especially because you are so honest and funny. I learn much about the things I don’t have any personal connections to. Thanks for that. You are an inspirational person.
I feel exactly the same! I’m a straight trans male and even though my bottom dysphoria is horrible I don’t think I can put myself through it to possibly have complications and not be satisfied. And as you said, life without being able to nut, NOT FOR ME THANKS
It’s a good topic to talk about and I think you’re brave to talk about it. If I was a trans man I would probably think along those lines as well, have the same thoughts as you. When they improve the skin graft possibilities it might be worth it, synthetic skin or grafted from an animal, that wouldn’t include nerves so maybe it’s not ideal anyway. Blessings from Sweden 🇸🇪
Eden Darleen basically someone who "transitions" because they like the "aesthetic", or look of the idea or something. someone will be able to explain better than me lol
nah I don't want bottom surgery. I mean I kinda rarely experience bottom dysphoria unless I'm in the shower, but like nah I don't want that surgery. I didn't know you could loose your ability to nut? I don't want that.
I'm so dysphoric about my *that area that I want it at any cost. No matter how it goes. But I know how hard it is right now. Hope the surgery process will improve in the coming years. Btw, I'm 14 right now and maybe it will take almost 30 for me to getting bottom surgery. That's a huge time. I hope things will change then. ^_^
I don't have dysphoria about my genitals cuz I'm asexual and I don't want to use it for obvious reasons, but I HATE periods. And this is my main reason for feeling uncomfortable with it. Thank you for all the info
@@mx.maniac7521 lmao you must be joking. I'd never take that just to make my periods stop. It's way too dangerous. Also, if I'm gonna make my body go crazy with hormones - I'd take testosterone, please haha Now, after a year I finally made that happen and in like a month or less, I'm starting T 😍
Good! You did your research and you know what you do NOT want to do. Kudos to you. I'm not knocking bottom surgery, but I am saying that it's so refreshing that you thought this through and you know what you want (don't want).
I'm still young, but I'm pretty sure I'm never going to be getting bottom surgery. Except my reason is that I actually don't have bottom dysphoria. In fact, I like that down there, I'm happy with that part of my body. The main thing that gives me dysphoria is my chest, feminine face, and voice. Everybody is different!
honestly you’re so amazing for talking about these things, i look up to you in many ways bc of your confidence (especially if you’re in a bad mood) i’ve been in a bad mood all day and if i had to talk about this today...i wouldn’t be cool about it at all 😂😂😂💕💕💕
i agree 100% with this. i would want bottom surgery, but i'm not going to get it because of all the reasons in this video. you pretty much took the words out of my mouth.
Michael Cooke, his boyfriend is bi and had had plenty of experience. However, many gay guys have sex with trans guys who have vaginas. Some trans guys don’t want to involve their genitals in sex, preferring to penetrate their partner with their fingers or toys, or to be penetrated through a different hole. Some don’t like penetration at all. If he’s comfortable with involving his genitals in sex, a gay guy wouldn’t have more trouble than an inexperienced straight guy. If the trans guy is on T the other dude might actually find the clitoris. Gay guys are generally not scared of vulvas. It’s just a body part.
hank you so much for speaking out on this. i feel the same way about a lot of the things you've said and i've felt entirely guilty for my thoughts and opinions and such.. tysm, ily!
You know I get that. My friend is getting put on testerones and he is getting top surgery and I have known him for like 10 almost 11 years and I support him. Hes everything to me and i dont wanna see him hurt.
Those are pretty much the exact same reasons why I don’t want bottom surgery either. Thanks :) nice to see I’m not alone. Also congrats on getting your top surgery done! Still waiting for my “letter” for it... *sighs and tries to remain patient*
Its interesting because im in the thinking process to decide whether or not i want bottom surgery myself. Im MTF and ive made the decision of getting top surgery (if that still applies to transgender women. Not 100% sure of the terminology) but if you want it then i support u 100%. And even if u dont then i still support u. 💕
As someone with lots of medical knowledge, the procedures offered today definitely seem to have risks outweighing results. That being said, because medicine is ever evolving, and has come so far in even the last decade, I do believe a more advanced and safe procedure will be developed with far better results. As we know, a penis doesn't make a man, so it really does depend on the person if they are willing to go through it.
I think the reasons for not having bottom surgery are quite valid ! The male to female is almost perfected ! But femake to male has a long way to go ! When I did my medical training a very long time ago ,female to male surgeries always has horrific complications , with multiple follow up surgeries ! Your a good looking guy and have a great attitude , I don't see any girl not bei g attracted to you ! Hopefully transitioning from female to male will become safer and less complicated sooner than later ! Cheers !
I like your reasoning. I would feel exactly the same. But, I also don’t top. So I agree that you can lead a good life as a trans guy without the bottom surgery.
My ex had bottom surgery. He thought he was having 4 surgeries. So far it's been 12! I also have a friend who is married to a straight female who is not having bottom surgery. He says that he values his health and his life more than that.
You shouldn’t feel so embarrassed to talk about your sex life , break that barrier Hey you’ve not got the genitals you want but you can still get pleasure from it and that’s so empowering , this stigma needs to be broken !, Keep doing what you’re doing 😋
Can completely understand the reasoning behind not wanting bottom surgery, everyone’s different & it’s gonna be a *loooong* time before we’re gonna have anything functionally close to a cisgender penis. Personally I want at least meta just because it’s better than what I have now, phallo would be more ideal in results but the complication rate to the results aren’t what I’m happy with rn. Plus, even though I know meta won’t completely alleviate my dysphoria, it leaves room later for phallo if I feel I’d benefit from it / if methods change & make that easier later too after having meta.
yeah, i've thought about what it would be like and how it would happen and the outcomes and literally questioned my gender identity (male) and stuff because i don't want bottom surgery because of the risks and this video makes be feel so much better about not wanting bottom surgery!! or at least for now haha, thank you!
I know this is very serious and touchy and I respect it and you 100% but when you were talking ab the arm part I couldn’t help but laugh you’re personality is amazing lol
THANK YOU FOR BRINGING UP THAT SOME TRANS PEOPLE DON'T WANT SURGERY!!!! I'm a trans dude and I'm kinda on the fence about bottom surgery bc like it'd be nice to have a penis if it worked fully like a cis man's and looked extremely like a cis man's and didnt come with skin grafts needed but thats not possible and also willies are muy expensive
WHATS YOU GUYS’ OPINION ON BOTTOM SURGERY?
Definitely depends on the person.
NoahFinnce i think it depends really but I wouldn’t personally have it because the results don’t currently seem worth it to me?
Good for whoever wants it or whatever like you do you but I'm not one of those people.
My opinions are the same as the ones stated in the video.

Oof
You are just delightful!! I wish you a wonderful life!
I don’t care about being cis as long as a I have a well enough functioning dick that I can insert into people
@@gatorfan556 Yeah they are doing that but it means being on immunosuppressants for the rest of your life, so it's not really this great solution it's made out to be.
@@Imnotallergictopeanuts Beautifully said
@@hanakosan4404 thank you papi
Woah growing a penis out of my cells is interesting
How many times has Noah called us underachievers?
0 0 like maybe 5-ish
@@cupcakekoenigin1018 this was kind a rhetorical question but thank you anyway!
0 0 ohhh ok sorry
Thank you and this is what I was wanting answers on bottom surgeries for MTFs.
“I have dysphoria.. obviously I’m a trans man”
Don’t make the transtrenders tRiGgErEd
@Eden Borgerdinggoogle shall do the trick..
Oml😂😂😂
Eden Darleen basically someone who "transitions" because they like the "aesthetic", or look of the idea or something. someone will be able to explain better than me lol
Eden Darleen someone (mostly girls) so claim that theyre trans to get attention
Hey, just a quick comment here to say it's not required to have dysphoria to be trans (:
nah I don't want bottom surgery. I mean I kinda rarely experience bottom dysphoria unless I'm in the shower, but like nah I don't want that surgery. I didn't know you could loose your ability to nut? I don't want that.
1:36 bOI YOURE GETTING TOP SURGERY ON MY BIRTHDAY AHHH THATS SO COOL
I'm so dysphoric about my *that area that I want it at any cost. No matter how it goes. But I know how hard it is right now. Hope the surgery process will improve in the coming years. Btw, I'm 14 right now and maybe it will take almost 30 for me to getting bottom surgery. That's a huge time. I hope things will change then. ^_^
I’m watching this after you’ve gotten the surgery, I’m so happy for you you’re so strong❤️
Where my fellow underachievers at 👏
IM SO EXCITED AND HAPPY AB UR TOP SURGERY ILY🤝💓
I don't have dysphoria about my genitals cuz I'm asexual and I don't want to use it for obvious reasons, but I HATE periods. And this is my main reason for feeling uncomfortable with it. Thank you for all the info
You can get like birth control it makes your period stop or make it very light
@@mx.maniac7521 lmao you must be joking. I'd never take that just to make my periods stop. It's way too dangerous.
Also, if I'm gonna make my body go crazy with hormones - I'd take testosterone, please haha
Now, after a year I finally made that happen and in like a month or less, I'm starting T 😍
@@merlin8046 that’s amazing! Also I didn’t know that shit made you crazy thanks for the heads up
@@mx.maniac7521 well birth control does all sorts of things to your body, I just called it "making the body crazy"
Everybody is different!
honestly you’re so amazing for talking about these things, i look up to you in many ways bc of your confidence (especially if you’re in a bad mood) i’ve been in a bad mood all day and if i had to talk about this today...i wouldn’t be cool about it at all 😂😂😂💕💕💕
He reminds me a lot of Troye Sivan
i agree 100% with this. i would want bottom surgery, but i'm not going to get it because of all the reasons in this video. you pretty much took the words out of my mouth.
BOH-UMM surgery sounds painful.
I have always felt the same way and wondered if it made me any less trans so thank you for making me for making me more confident in my choice
"So I'm a gay man" Shocker.
He? she? has a pussy and comes out as a gay man. What does the gay boyfriend do with the pussy?
Michael Cooke gets sick into it I suppose!
Michael Cooke he’s clearly a guy and his boyfriend is bi and also people are open minded 🙄
@@felipevasconcelos6736 Haha! "If the trans guy is on T the other dude might actually find the clitoris."
hank you so much for speaking out on this. i feel the same way about a lot of the things you've said and i've felt entirely guilty for my thoughts and opinions and such.. tysm, ily!
You know I get that. My friend is getting put on testerones and he is getting top surgery and I have known him for like 10 almost 11 years and I support him. Hes everything to me and i dont wanna see him hurt.
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. The art work on your new merch is FANTASTIC!
I found your music on Spotify, but I found you here now! Hi! I didn’t know you were trans, but I am as well!
Those are pretty much the exact same reasons why I don’t want bottom surgery either. Thanks :) nice to see I’m not alone. Also congrats on getting your top surgery done! Still waiting for my “letter” for it... *sighs and tries to remain patient*
Me: has a left arm that is half numb because of previous surgeries, is right handed
Phalloplasty: joke’s on you
Its interesting because im in the thinking process to decide whether or not i want bottom surgery myself.
It’s been two years and I’m wondering, have there been any advancements if you know?
the insult hurts more every time
I can imagine seeing the wrong genitals everyday is rough, but surgery is terrifying.
holy shit i haven’t watched your videos ina while and your voice shocked me
The way you talk/ your mouth moves is mesmerizing.
don’t die that’s my only request
I think the reasons for not having bottom surgery are quite valid ! The male to female is almost perfected ! But femake to male has a long way to go ! When I did my medical training a very long time ago ,female to male surgeries always has horrific complications , with multiple follow up surgeries ! Your a good looking guy and have a great attitude , I don't see any girl not bei g attracted to you ! Hopefully transitioning from female to male will become safer and less complicated sooner than later ! Cheers !
omg your voice when i clicked on this video *shook* its so deep-
I like your reasoning.
Strapies my boii
OMG youre getting top surgery the day before my birthday:) so excited for u:):)
You shouldn’t feel so embarrassed to talk about your sex life , break that barrier
Hey you’ve not got the genitals you want but you can still get pleasure from it and that’s so empowering , this stigma needs to be broken !,
Keep doing what you’re doing 😋
Can completely understand the reasoning behind not wanting bottom surgery, everyone’s different & it’s gonna be a *loooong* time before we’re gonna have anything functionally close to a cisgender penis.
Personally I want at least meta just because it’s better than what I have now, phallo would be more ideal in results but the complication rate to the results aren’t what I’m happy with rn. Plus, even though I know meta won’t completely alleviate my dysphoria, it leaves room later for phallo if I feel I’d benefit from it / if methods change & make that easier later too after having meta.
My bf ain't getting bottom surgery either
And I support him in whatever he thinks is best for him
yeah, i've thought about what it would be like and how it would happen and the outcomes and literally questioned my gender identity (male) and stuff because i don't want bottom surgery because of the risks and this video makes be feel so much better about not wanting bottom surgery!! or at least for now haha, thank you!
Your voice is so deep it’s crazy
I know this is very serious and touchy and I respect it and you 100% but when you were talking ab the arm part I couldn’t help but laugh you’re personality is amazing lol
When your’e a bi transman and like topping 😭😓😫
that's why i thank the gods for straps
Thanks for allowing us the get an insight into your thoughts!:)
I like this guy
THANK YOU FOR BRINGING UP THAT SOME TRANS PEOPLE DON'T WANT SURGERY!!!! I'm a trans dude and I'm kinda on the fence about bottom surgery bc like it'd be nice to have a penis if it worked fully like a cis man's and looked extremely like a cis man's and didnt come with skin grafts needed but thats not possible and also willies are muy expensive
‘coming out as a bottom’ i’m SCREAMING
