as a console player average 190 fps with 1080p is CRAZY to me

I just got it from Walmart for 480 as this is my first PC I just wanted my foot in the door I plan on most likely upgrading way later down the road I’m glad to hear I can although it may take work. I’m not smart enough to do it anyway but I’ll have this video to show my friend so he can guide me on how to do those transfers you mentioned wen the time comes

Interesting video 🥰👍 sounds like the 5500 compared to the 5500XT is that the 5500 is a lower tier / defective or lower binned model with a higher power draw and psu requirement 🤔🧐. But for $600 USD, it sounds like a very good deal, normal pricing applied the. It’s not a very good deal.

There are two of these HP computers at my local pawn shop. Except that they run the 5600g and are $400. Which is honestly insane given how pc parts are right now.

can you upgrade the ARX 5500 graphics card? and if so, what is the highest graphics card you can upgrade to? I know it's somewhat limited because of the power supply unless there is a way around that
this plays guild wars 2 at 122 fps and i just love this lil desktop its small and games like a giant tbh, ive not thrown a game at it that it wont play and its quite impressive for the price in todays market.

Just bought this on Amazon Prime early access sale for $380. Dropped in 2 16GB sticks (total of 32GB) that I had sitting in a drawer and a 2TB SSD I picked up for $139 and have a very good workstation for less than $600 including tax.

@@braydengoins6604 at a minimum add an 8GB ram stick to the one it came with. The will make it dual channel if you match up the ram. I put in two matching 16GB sticks. Depending on your needs you could upgrade the NVME or, even easier, just add a 2.5 inch SSD. for more storage.
@@trustedsource1273 I’m looking to pick one up as well but it has the 8gb installed . Was debating on doing what you just did with the two 16gb. Are you running one monitor or two? I’d be running two 19” 1080P’s. Curious how the AMD RX5500 would run them.

I have a wifi card that has only one antenna connector but two antenna wires, one is just dangling.
It does suck. I ordered mine, plugged it up, tried to power it on, and nothing happened. Not even a light indicating it was plugged up.

Local Walmart was clearencing it out before they switched to the Victus series. The Victus has a 500 watt power supply vs the 400 Watt in the pavilion. A "Erica8" vs an "Erica6" motherboard which seems identical except for 2 USB 10GB ports on the 8. And most importantly the Victus has a rx6400 instead of the superior 5500.
I'd argue that you should never need the 500watt power supply in that case, it has very bad airflow and will probably catch fire if you ever pushed a system to 500watts!

i dont know if youve torn down the card yet but could also make that a test for the new MX5 paste when you do tear down the card?
I'll likely go with MX4 since that's what I have on hand. It'll be interesting to see if that has any effect on temps vs stock paste.
@@HoosierHardware I'll be interested in your followups as well. I recommended this unit about a month ago to my dad and he bought via HP site for around $700 or so after tax. He's been pleased so far, except he noticed it go down in price about $100 a couple of weeks ago (but like you said, I guess it fluctuates). Funnily enough, like "Kommando.." above, I too am contemplating getting some MX5 to see if it really helps in particular for really old laptops that run very hot, where every degree matters.

@@chris870 I play warzone but o play fortnite mostly and o get 180 fps with that quality on all low settings you might get like 150 fps on warzone with that
I tried to run Deus Ex Mankind Divided on mine, it ran poorly to say the least. the frames were really low, and it has a 5600 mind you.
i run wz a yr later with a 1660 super and 3600 at the same fps or lower as this WITH AN APU

I bought this PC just as a starter and was planning on upgrading it to 16GB, but for some reason the PC wouldn't detect the graphics card, and also would freeze when I went to restart it to go into the bios and see what was wrong. Now I'm conflicted on what to think about it. I see videos telling me it's a fine choice but idk what to think anymore.
I'm concerned if this applies to the whole family. I was looking at a similar build with AMD Ryzen 5 and GeForce RTX 3060 from a big box store.
i have the same computer. works like a charm and i use it for 1080p gaming daily. amazing pc. nothing wrong with it for me except the headphone jack wouldn't work the day i got it but somehow it just kinda fixed itself.
Got mines yesterday so far impresses played warzone smooth no stutter or frame drops also upgraded to 16 gb ram

I had got one for 300$ It's not terrible but i took out the apu and the gpu and put it into another board and case with a new psu and ram instead. the ram isn't that great and the motherboard/psu/case is proprietary and very unupgradeable and there is zero fan control on the HP except the gpu. Software or otherwise.
I got it a couple days ago and it was 600 plus tax, but hp had the lowest price when I checked

You can try to match the stick inside. If not, just get any DDR 4 3200mhz stick
BestBuy has a HP Pavillion Ryzen 7 3060 16ram 500gb for $1150 which sounds great but man the inside of these HP's look like its from 1990 not sure if its worth it anyone know ?
Its honestly worth it because of the hardware you are getting in it it's great and in the future for upgrades just buy a new power supply, motherboard and case add in a bigger ssd or add a hdd and your perfectly fine

so i bought mine from walmart with the 5700g ryzen. It did not state what the gpu was, what is the best amd gpu i can run. Currently running low graphic settings to avoid issues.

This is a good pc.. when it works.. because sometimes for me it would not work like nothing would open I sent it back and they sent me a new one which works
tbh faulty hardware is not all that uncommon, good customer service is... Ask steve at gamers nexus how his interview with New Egg went, then be thankful that part of what you paid for was decent customer service folks at HP. Man was new egg bad to us...

I would barely consider that a gaming pc the computers we use in my office at work have better specs
When ordering this PC swap out the CPU with a Ryzen 5 5600G and the GPU with a GTX1660 super 6GB. Buy 16GB of RAM and a secondary HDD for storage and play any game for less than $900 USD. With any PC value and performance are key and this rig delivers both.

Safe bet with the stock PSU is xx60 series Nvidia cards, two fans max. Some people have reported success with xx70 series Nvidia cards, but that’s rolling the dice. With AMD, I would say to stay away from anything that calls for 500 w and above PSU.
If you want to chance it just take each component under load, and what ever remains is the headroom that you have for the GPU power draw.
3060 would really be the max id put in this pc.

The PC just arrived last month, and I really like it! Much better than the old Cyberpower PC that I have, and it can handle PC VR. So it's a big win for me.

So I have a problem with this computer but mine is the 5600G, if anybody knows a fix I’d really appreciate it but I can’t play any games on warzone, I load into rebirth and when I’m about to join pre game lobby it just freezes or when I start a game with my friends it just freezes as well does anybody know a fix or if it’s something with my computer so I can return it lmao

How well does this run minecraft?
Probably gets 200+ fps on vanilla. If you plan on playing modpacks you are going to have some trouble with just 8 gigs of ram, so in that case getting 8 more would be recommended

You would have to upgrade the ram to 16gb minimum.

Just bought this PC from HP (But can upgrade the RAM part to 16GB later down the road) as a way to ditch the weak pre-built one that I have from Cyberpower. Can't wait to say goodbye to the one that I have. :D

i did just that and now sit on the 16 ram and ill tell ya it is such a nice lil desktop i get 122 fps in guild wars 2 now and i havent turned on my cyber power system in some time either. This is just a superior lil pc. Lovin it :)

@@bugsbunny4539 Yah I upgraded to 16. Actually their a decent computer for the price and the Radeon RX5500 is a pretty decent card compared to my old GTX1050 ti .. It's the AMD software & tech support that sucks. As soon as my warranty is up I'm going back to Nvidia
@@bugsbunny4539 If you're talking about it changing the driver by itself yes it's happened to me a couple of times and I had to roll back my driver in device manager. As soon as my warranty is up it's goodbye AMD & welcome back Nvidia

@@isaiahnelson2132 you should be able to stream just fine. I never stream so I'm not sure 100%. But I recommend a ram upgrade/add on. 16gb is what you need these days. But other than that I'm super happy with it. Comes with a expansion spot for a internal ssd too. The os is installed on a mvme ssd. They sell a pny internal 1TB ssd for like $90 at Walmart. You just pop it open and plug it in. Cable should already be pre installed in the PC

@@pooticus2489 it runs Cod and Minecraft buttery smooth for me atleast and the storage isn't like a horrible problem but I definitely recommend you up grade it but if you wanna just start now and up grade that later then you should be fine just don't expect to have like hella big games on it cause it's not much
