@@T88-fh9ci I'm super happy with the purchase. A little annoyed that I got them BEFORE Black Friday week and now they're on sale 😂, but the lights themselves are great!
half of my lights stopped stopped working after 23 days and today it’s totally dead! Not Happy. They are sending a replacement, but do i really want to put them back up in freezing weather??
@@ZIRTUBE wow really?! That's the first I've heard of that! Did they have any idea what caused it? I'm glad they're at least replacing them, but that does stink to have to install twice.
Yeah these are great but not even close to being the most expensive. You’d be surprised how crazy the market has gotten. Having said that, like i said on another govee video, unless your multi-wing mega mansion has crazy jumps, you’re better off saving your money and getting the v2 over the pros.
Honestly one of the things that made me finally pull the trigger on these was seeing how expensive the "professional install" options are. I just couldn't imagine paying that much for a 1-time, 1 month long rental! Interesting point on the Pros vs the 2s. The 2s aren't spliceable at all, right? When I was ordering, that felt like a deal breaker to me with the different lines of my roof. In hindsight, maybe I could've planned it out with some sort of unique pattern where the standard runs ended in the right place, but I was nervous to get them partially installed and find out I really needed a splice and just couldn't do it.
Great video… can I ask some advice… In ireland I have a two story house… So I’ll be going round the gutter perimeter, but on the bottom at my front door porch, how do I break from the top to come down?… Do I continue round as mentioned above, then break (cut) at top to come down onto roof porch?… Surely this would break the animation/run ??? And if I separate the porch with different power supply the animation effects will not sinc ???
@@gobrad great question! they have unlit extenders which are where you are able to jump from one line to another (unlit). Basically just a custom extension cord that you can splice in anywhere. The animation and line would just continue right on down the string, so you'd definitely want to plan out where you start, where you end and where you add any breaks. The goal is to use one power supply and then just run every line as an extension onto the next one. Does that make sense? The app does have features that allow grouping of multiple types of lights, and they can sync to do the same thing, but I'm not sure if they can sync to extend an animation from one power supply to the next. You can do up to 9 strands and 4 extensions on Permanent Outdoor Lights so that's 200ft or so of lit roofline you can power off one power supply
Many thanks for your detailed response 🙏… I realises now I don’t need a separate power supply 🙂👍 I purchased 100ft but looks like I’ll need one more strand of lights… I wonder if they sell separately… it be crazy to buy an entire box fur 10 lights
Great informative video, enjoy your lights
Great video, was actually thinking about getting these myself and wondered about the installation thanks. They look great!

I’m 5 lights shirt on the Govee pro outdoor… surely Govee have the option to purchase an extra strip?
@@gobrad yes they do, unless you're already at the maximum length of their cord (200ft I think)
@ do you have a link wer I can purchase an extra strip…. No the max I have is 100ft so should be ok with an extra strip if I can get one 🙂🙏
