Well hello there sheep at 4.40 😂
Great video guys. I spy a chicken on the guys yakitori shop sign 🐓 😂
Hope yous had a good time 😊
Congrats on the permanent residency! So happy for you!!!!
Found the sheep!! Love your train line videos and I love trams. Double win with this one.
Robots please like us! CONGRATULATIONS on Kyde Permanent Residency! Now they can't kick you out easily. I love these series of videos. I'm definitely doing the same thing on my next visit to Tokyo, just riding the tram and getting off and walking around. It's exploration and trains - what's not to like?
Interesting fact about trams vs trains: Trains carry their own fuel and trams get their fuel from an external source. So that means that all of the "trains" in the world that are electric and have to be connected to power in order to work are actually trams.
Now you know the difference between a tram and a train.
But do you know the difference between a teacher and a train?
A teachers tells you to spit out your gum but a train tells you to chew chew.
lol oh boy
I think I read that this is the earliest Sakura have blossomed in 1600 years in Japan.
@@curiousnomadic Yeah, makes it kind of bittersweet doesn't it? A lot of worrying weather patterns the last while all over.
Thank you for sharing the Tokio Sakura Tram with us. Now looking forward to riding it in May of 2022
Here to prompt the robots & say thanks for giving us a window on a part of the world we'd love to be in again... one day
Congratulations on the Permanent Residency guys! Thanks for the tour on the Tram. That last one was so cool looking. (Over 9000!)
Just a random comment to fully keep the YT algorithm happy 😁🙉🙈🤘
A random reply to show the algorithm a strong engagement with the viewers.
@@ikaruseijin01 is so important
YAY here is a comment for the robots, I challenge Kyde to take a picture with each train and congratulations on the permanent residency.
This was really well done! What a fun ride on the Tokyo Sakura tram line - cherry blossoms, history, train facts, snacks, playgrounds, temple monkeys, and quantum physics. What more could anyone want?
Haha, glad you dug it! -E
Congratulations on your permanent residency! Amazing video, as always!
Thank you for another wonderful adventure
Thanks Kyde and Eric, great video and congrats on the permanent residency
Doing all the things! Kyde looked so excited but unsure when she said her news
For the ‘bots. I always watch yr vids twice when they first come out. First time for yr story, second time for all the backgrounds. In this vid you had a lot of great stuff going on in the background that couldn’t be timed better. Yakatori guy running by, woman hiking up the hill, the small tram going up the hill. Awesome 💗
oh neat, cool way to watch them!
Lots of fun guys! Thank you 😊 Wow, Congratulations on your permanent residency!
This seems like a really fun way to explore Japan. What a payoff at the end...a fitting way to end the "Cherry Blossom Tram." And the 9000 train looks baller. Keep making train line videos, I love them! 👍
Congrats to Kyde on the permanent residency!!! I noticed "Japanese Immigration" in the end card 😁
haha good catch in the endcard!
love you guys been watching for 6 years ,would love more content with you guys interacting with friends that you have in japan ,cheers from Canada.
it's harder to film with others than it probably seems, but thanks!
Love seeing the trams and the area around.
I would definitely give the surf and turf on a stick a go.
Looking at Kyde's smiling face on the thumbnail, it looks like you are well if you're making more videos. Continue to be well the both of you!
Really enjoyed this one, more than an hour of viewing pleasure!
What's more japanese than geeking about trains ? Love these "wandering in the neighbourhood" videos.
The story of how they saved what is now the Toden Arakawa Line (Tokyo Sakura Train) is actually a very interesting story in itself. The reason was actually simple: when they started shutting down the tram lines in Tokyo in 1967, the area around Arakawa Ward lacked subway access, let alone commuter rail access besides the then-JNR Yamanote Line. Residents complained loudly, and as a result they merged three former tram lines to form today's Toden Arakawa Line.
Ahh, very cool! Thank you! -E
Wow! So cool! what a treat to travel the tram with you guys! Aweome!
Thanks for all the tram rides, it was a fun adventure.
Thanks for taking us on the tram adventure with you. 😊
When you said that there’s good news, for a minute I thought that this duo was about to turn into a trio. 😆
Congratulations on the residency!
48:42 Oh, STYROFOAM! That's exactly what those cones feel/taste like! Calling it that forevermore. Thanks, Kyde!
38:22
I love the Tokyo Olympic mascot chillin' behind Eric!
Really cool video, fun to imagine what Tokyo was like back in the day. Also, the sheep came out verrryy early lol.
I told myself before watching this that I wouldn't feel insane jealousy for the duration of the video because I can't be there.
I failed miserably.
Great video guys. If I'm in Tokyo in Sakura season 2022 this is absolutely how I'll be spending one of my days.
What an awesome train line! Gonna have to check it out the next time I'm in Japan :)
Congrats on the permanent residency!! It's been a long time coming!
Cute trains and pretty flowers. We can't ask for more.
Bravo, guys! Well done. I didn’t think I’d be interested in trams, but you made it interesting.
Yay
9000 series!!! 😍😍😍😍
Great new on residency ☺️ these trams are so cute thanks guys 👍🏴
Congrats on permanent residency, and happy Golden Week!
Congratulations Kyde!
Another home run video, thanks you guys.
Congratulations on the permanent residency! I know how stressful that can be and am so glad you guys will have more freedom/options to stay here in Japan.
58:22 Looks like you can thank the Zoshigaya club for the bench area. I looked them up and they're some sort of neighbourhood improvement association. That's a really good idea, a few little things like providing a place to rest yourself a little can make a vast difference in the livability of a city/neighborhood. It would make me want to live there.
Oh neat, good research!
Train! 🚂 🚞 🚊 choo choo!!!
I like your long videos because I can't get enough of you guys.
You know you still love a place when you are ecstatic still getting 10 menus at a restaurant.
The 9000 tram looks incredible!! I would love to take a trip in that tram.
That plane jungle gym was dope
I'm doing all the chores to make the robots like you.
thnnnakkknnnks dudeee
The cherry blossom in our garden was right on time in March here in Poitou Charentes, France.
Thanks for another great ride along adventure!
love the final scene with the train departing off into the night. ところで、永住者おめでとう!!
Also, Congrats on the permanent residency!
great as always
Land, Sea and Air on a stick!
Seeing Eric operating on that airplane jungle gym thing made my day
Also, congrats on the permanent residency!
Thanks for sharing your fun and joy as plans for this video took quite some time! Congratulations on getting permeant residency!
Eric: Quantum train?
Everybody: wuuuuuuuuuuuuh!!!
I enjoyed our train ride. It reminds me of your Biking along JR Yamanote Line.
Robot please like Kyde and Eric! Also thanks for making all these videos for those of us not yet brave enough to make a trip over there ^_^
Haha, you don't need to be super brave! Remember (when tourism is open and not pandemic-locked) thousands and thousands of people come to Japan every day and it's totally fine! -E
I am doing my chores and leaving a comment for the bots, please like us a again
As always great video and super happy to hear about the Permanent Residency news! Congratulations!!!! I remember when I start watching your videos back in 2013. So happy I have been able to be with you guys and watch the channel grow 4,000 subs to over 52,000! Thank you for the hanami. I hope one day I can be there in person to experience it myself.
The new hosts of NHK Train Cruise!
hahaha i wish
WOW. 🎉. Best one yet. Great job.
U guys just keep getting better 😎👍✅
Loving these ward vids. Please keep em coming.
I love those blossom trees. I used to have one outside my window and in the mornings the rising sun would shine through the petals. A lightly pink, golden light would ripple through them as they jostled in a light breeze. A lovely way to start your day.
9000! & Congrats on Permanent Residency!
glad you are in better health and Kyde got her premanment residency, plus I enjoyed the video
This was a awesome video and especially since I kinda like trains. One of my dreams is to ride the flåm line in Norway.
wow that line looks amazing
love the 9000 and the sakura trees, oh my...
Does the thing for the robots.
Thanks for another great video :-)
Kyde gets her 9000!
Gotta love playgrounds and the different things you sometimes can find. Sometimes there is imagination and fun in them, other times you can tell people just tried to make it boring and safe, lacking imagination, following the standards. I like when they think out of the box, but it is harder to find those places nowadays.
"The excitement of the weiner" , hahaha, the comment of the day :D
You found a beautiful and great spot for sakura towards the end, wish i could be there.
I enjoyed watching your little tram adventure, just wish i could have been out there and doing it myself.
Happy Valborg!
Congratulations
Alright boys, we got a plane to the build! frame is done, next is engine and stuff
this is my old neighbourhood tram awww
Congratulations on your permanent residency! Amazing news.
Thanks!!
I remember one of your early Otsuka videos when you were at Mos Burger and looked out at the tram. I think it was about 6 years ago. But what is so fascinating is the dynamic at each stop, and how it evolves. Have you explored Kichijoji yet in a video? We are kinda drawn to it because of the park.
We have been over there, but not a lot. I didn't even know it had a big park, haha
I can't love trains - but my father loves trains, so I love any people who love trains! ❤️ Thanks for the video! I look forward to each one :)
Congrats on the permanent residency!
I really enjoyed this video, Sakura are gorgeous and I hope to visit Japan in the future. Hope all is well! ^^
Great video guys! Really enjoyed seeing those little trams again and the nice painting at Minowabashi station! In 2017 on our second trip to Japan, my wife and I rode to Miyanomae station to eat in a restaurant nearby : どん平. If you ever go back to the area, you should give it a try : they were featured in the Solitary Gourmet (aka Kodoku No Gurume) which is a japanese drama series about a salesman that stops to eat in "local" restaurants all across the country but mostly in and around Tokyo. Actors are hired but the shops are real. This one specializes in Flaming Sake Hotpots with shabu shabu meat and they also have delicious tonkatsu.
If we ever visit Tokyo again, it will be one of our first stops ;-)
Please do more train videos, or just any Japan videos really, they are amazing and help with Japan nostalgia !
Glad you enjoyed! Looked up どん平, it looks awesome! Added to my "wish list." Thanks! -E
I enjoyed this video quite a bit. Maybe it's because I am a bit of a train buff, maybe it is because I saw this line featured on Tokyo Eye many years ago and wanted to ride it, or maybe you guys were at your relaxed best.
Thanks for still making some of the best content on UA-cam.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Wonderful awesomeness from you two again #youtube #promote this now !!!
That 9000 tram is pretty baller. I can imagine it's always full during the day though.
"Is this some sort of quantum train?"
A comment for the algorithm, nice video as always.
Somehow I missed this one, glad I went back to look! Love the duck butt, it's so thoroughly Japanese. This looked like a really cool experience, thanks for taking us along and telling us some facts and history along the way!
Heck yeah K&E time!
Lol
Also congratulations!!
I've never really noticed the contrasting size before but Eric looks like Gandalf and Kyde be like Hobbit.
Really wanna check this out. Thanks for sharing!
My friend the pug was visiting and we watched this video together on the big TV. Smokey says hello.
hi smokey!
Chikara Udon/Soba usually served as Mochi on top of the noodle. I've never seen that Mochi's and a noodle bowl were served separately like that.
This is the first of your videos that I’ve ever viewed, and I have to say that you’re both blessed with infectious laughter!
Tokyo fascinates me, but after seeing the plethora of menus explained? I now realize that I would die of starvation. Seriously though!
Also? I’m of the opinion that the Travel Channel needs to take notice of your channel. You know, and offer y’all a show! But with the way TC roll now? They’d probably insist that you try and find a Japanese Sasquatch, or explore haunted Tokyo houses.
Oh, and congrats on the permanent residence! 🙌
Hi! Glad you found us and enjoyed the video! Don't be too worried about the menus in Japan, haha, it always works out somehow. I'm paranoid I gave an impression that might stop someone from coming and exploring, haha, don't let anything like that stop you if you really want to visit someday. It's an easy country to get around and eat in.
Thanks for the kind words, by the way!
-Eric
@@kydeanderic
Lol, no, please don’t feel paranoid Eric! I didn’t pick up that vibe at all. Plus the possibility of starvation wouldn’t slow me down a bit if I set my mind on a destination. And I’m fairly certain that other adventurous folks would feel the same way.
Hey, and if all else fails? I’ll just look for a McDonald’s or a Burger King until I can figure out how to NOT order raw horse.
When Kyde said "Gomen Nasai". OMG SO CUTE!
Cool little trains :)
10:12 Sakura tram.. has a stylized golden ginkgo(?) leaf on it. Pretty!
the thing walking on top of the bricks while you were eating, in the beginning, is cute lol
7:14 That is a storage house, they were designed to be fire proof. You would find them on wealthy merchant estates. I guess this was once a estate, that got subdivided over time into smaller plots.
A good video for foreigners outside Japan about Toden Arakawa line.
You covered all main spots along the line.
A hot soba should be eaten up within 5 mins after it is served. Or it would be worse in taste.
At 1:03:46 my mind just went over to LoZ Link's Awakening's Tal Tal Heights music back on the GBC
