How I love the rasping sound of krumhorns! The quality of your music is easily up there with the likes of David Munrow, who was the first to pioneer the revival of medieval and renaissance music. Nice views of Bodiam Castle and amusing graphics. Thank you.

You the man! I'm so glad that you are out there playing such joyful music for us. Not only are you obviously very talented, but these videos must require a great deal of work to create. Thank you for doing this. Your work is such a breath of fresh air in this day and age.

I just adore this rendition - and love the canon sounds. I think they add, not subtract. And I think Susato himself would have been chuffed to bits at how cool it sounds with them added!

Superb krumhorns, they must have sounded just like that in the time of Elizabeth 1st, a lovely duck like tone. Beautiful. So nice to set the music against backdrops of Bodiam and Alnwick castles (reminiscent of the water festivals that the Earl of Leycester held at Kenilworth, against a backdrop of the ruined, medieval castle)
i'm lost of words. for years ago I already enjoyed your style of performing and - of course - the music. but now? it's not only joy for the ear but also for the eye!! :) thank you!!
Nice work! I love playing this with an early wind band - crumhorns or shawms and maybe a sackbut or two! My wife and I marched out of church to this piece on our wedding day, played on bagpipes and straight trumpet (thought we'd better start as we meant to go on...)
This reminds me of Music History class when I was getting my Music degree... I got to play this particular piece during summer band.... actually quite fun to play....
The melody from 1:16 really reminds me of Janequin's "La Bataille de Marignan" (1529). Some of the motifs used by Susato are almost the same as what we can hear in the "La Batille" chanson's prima pars. Furthermore, from 1:49 it's like the beginning of Janequin's chanson's seconda pars. Might Susato have known Janequin's chanson before? Did he use the same motifs on purpose? Really interesting!
Great playing of Tielman Susato! Your playing reminds me of a cassette I have with a trumpet piece for 8 trumpets by Heinrich Franz Biber, played by one trumpeter.
Thank you. Same to you. How did you get into classical music? I got into it when I was a kid. My parents would watch Masterpiece Theatre on PBS here in Massachusetts. I'd ask my parents if I could stay up just to hear the theme. I loved the sound of the music. I found out later it's Jean Joseph Mouret.
Realmente olhares e abordagens da interpretação como jamais vi! Antonello sempre talentoso. Deve dar um trabalho enorme animar deste modo suas interpretações!!!!
Eduardo, you are of course a great Artist. This is an excellent video. The only thing I wish it was different is the boat that is navigating backwards.
Alte Musik Hahaha you are completly rigth my friend. I noticed it when i was editing but a few years ago i didn´t know how to change it :) Now i´ve learned it. Best regards from Rio!
Alan, how wonderful to march out of church on your wedding to this wonderful Pavan! So much better than the traditional stuff you hear. We played some weddings using Holborne's "Honeysuckle" on all recorders, and it was beautiful to watch.
The best of Renaisance intrumental music (and brazilian Lundu example, of course - is it Iguaçu Falls? - I've been there on sunday!) and your facetiously wonderful creation of the XXI century. A great thanks
Bravo leq! Os canhoes ficaram geniais, a musica e orquestração esta bacanerrima, as imagens otimas, so faltou mesmo aquela pistolinha esperta no final. ; )

So completely unlike all the other Danserye dances, I have often wondered how it ended up in the collection. Certainly the best in the collection for a big sound.
Muito Bom! Gostei tanto quanto os outros que eu ja vi de voce! (Really liked these, like the earlier pavane, and I remember (and still have recorded on a playlist) the simple ones you started with like in the stairway! :) (Amercano casado com uma Brasiliera)
Boooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmm Subscribe (tap the bell) and like??? Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks
I love this music❤️
Ich fing damit mit 12 Jahren an ,Renaissance ist nach wie vor meine grosse heisse, dreckigfeuchte Nummer, und nix weiter

+GlenCharlesPovey Glad you enjoyed it! All the best!
Excellent performance and witty scenery
Thank you very much!
Love it we played this as a family when my children were small on recorders. They would have preferred it with the ordinance I expect.
Cool Elizabeth! Thank you
Fantastic!!! Fabulous!! What a talent!!
Thank you bro!!

LOL! Glad you like it! Hahahahah

+Allan Scott Hello! I can wonder how cool might sound it played by bagpipes and trumpets. For sure you had a nice wedding ceremony! All the best!
This was awesome music, and it cracked me up that the cannons were going off in time with the music.
Thank you! I like this effect too
Your musical skills and video-editing skills are extraordinary! I especially enjoyed watching you use the harpsichord as a boat in the moat!
