  • I just wanted to share something that really helps my mental health when things get dark. I suppose I've known this before, but it really became apparent to me last week. I'll be back to regular videos soon; probably next week.

Hi Jack, so happy you are back! Those are great tips. I hurt my back in July so I'm still healing from that and feeling lousy last few days. Turns out I got covid, so I'm hunkering down in bed.
You gave me a great idea, to listen to some music or podcasts. I've got crazy sweats and fever for 3 days.
Looking forward to more of your videos.

Movement is #1 for me, especially outside and away from people. Love running and walking. Tricky thing is having to cut back on movement as you get older because of joint problems etc. So far have always found some way to keep moving everyday. Early morning run is my favorite time

Jack, I like that you’re saying hi friends now vs hi UA-cam. So glad you’re doing better. Gloomy weather affects me too luckily I’m in CO where sunshine is abundant. Am 71 and don’t do this myself but should and that’s lifting weights. Do you incorporate that at all? So many health professionals are speaking of its importance as we age. Are you still thinking about getting into some sort of social activity? I sure need to do that. Course if you go to the gym you’re around folks there. Welcome back you’re so authentic and real your followers care about you.

Totally agree. I have also gone back to the gym a second time during the day when I'm in a bit of a funk. Peace!

Every time when I feel like you feel now, I know I'm stuck in my comfort zone. And that gives rise to mental issues. We're just wired like that. A good way to get out of your head is doing things that challenge you. My wife always pushes me into something I don't want to do - and she's always right :)
If you can't meet people - get a job - even if just temporarily. You never know what will come out of that. You simply don't know. The unknown is the healer.
Not advice - just my experience.
Haven't seen you in years, Jack. Been there at the beginning. And here you pop up in my stream. Put yourself out there - inside the house and social media will drive you nuts. All the best, Jack!

Jack, this is such a wonderful vid. You know those old people doing Tai Chi in the park? Always moving...not necessarily burning calories or increasing heart rate. Moving the body at our age and older, keeps the metabolism going nicely. The whole universe is movement, Jack. Kind of interesting when you think about it.

I'm looking forward to learning Tai Chi. Do you practice?
