Take your break , Jack! We’ll be here waiting for you. Maybe find some volunteer opportunities to make some outside connections? Be well and your kitty too . 😍😍❤️❤️
Most of us OG's are way too critical of ourselves. Better to find ways of being more self forgiving. Look in the mirror and take stock. You just turned 60, young in my book, very good physical shape, and you have been eating a terrific diet. Best of all, you overcame your past bad habits. At 72, I am pretty similar. I look around at my friends that are still alive, you and I both are far better off than most. Few eat any kind of healthy diet, hardly ever exercise, are overweight or obese and taking lots of pills and using a cane or a walker. I'd say you are doing very well. Keep doing what you are doing!
@@nelsonv741 that’s a great post. Jack is ahead of the game in so many ways with his good eating habits, healthy body weight, he’s mentioned going to the gym, and relatively young age. (I’m one year behind you.). He’s already got a lot of positives to build on.
Jack you take care of you and come back when you’re ready. You are one of my favorites on UA-cam, feel like I’m hanging out with a friend when I watch you. Thank you for sharing
Hey Jack, I've been watching your videos since 2014....maybe 2013 even. You're a smart guy. I'm a lifelong solo person and I live in two cities. It can be a challenge being of a certain age (I'm 63) and I do have a lot of good friends. Here's what I've observed ...don't wait for the phone call from another to do something. Be the phonecall : ) There are so many solos waiting for the call. Be the call. And.... show interest and curiosity in the other person. That's the key. Talking just about oneself doesn't establish the deeper connection you are seeking. I'd invite you out to do something if I lived in your area! You're an observant guy with a solid story and you like to learn.... just my type!
Wishing you all the best Jack but don't worry about being a loner. Some of us don't measure our lives around how social we are. My 14 year old dog is my best friend and I rarely talk to anyone. I'm happy. It's how I am, an introvert and a loner but I admit, it took me many years to realise that was ok. Being raw vegan didn't help probably socially - but that's also what makes me feel good so not compromising there either!
I look forward to hearing from you when you decide to come back. I get a lot of joy from your videos. I’m somewhat isolated due to having a weak immune system. Much of my days are cooking healthy, exercise, and my self care practice. I retired from a job of helping people and now I am alone more than than not. I’ve been struggling with some of my own mental health issues and feeling a bit lost. Appreciate your authenticity.
I sincerely hope you find what your looking for, Jack. I respect how you open yourself up and speak from your heart. That’s not easy for a lot of people. I’m glad your kitty is ok. I also have a senior cat. Take the time you need and we will be here whenever you decide to start posting again. 🫶
I feel like I am in the exact same boat as you. I appreciate what you said and what you are going through. I will pray for you. I hope you find your way and find what you are looking for. God bless you. Have faith!!!
Maybe try volunteering somewhere. Is there a farmed animal sanctuary near you? Maybe some other rescue shelter (cats/dogs). If you have a farm sanctuary near you, not only will you get to be around some awesome rescued animals but you can also meet new people that have somewhat similar interests such as the food, meditation, veganism etc. Take care! ATB!
You’re a really special person Jack, so genuine and real. Thanks for sharing and trusting your community with what’s going on in your life. I too have a mostly routine life due to chronic illness - am single and although have wonderful extended family, nice neighbors and some great non local friends, for the most part I’m alone plopping in and out of bed all day, and in past 4 years lost both cats, broke femur I’ve never fully recovered from, knee replacement that’s been a disaster, boyfriend died of cancer and took a trip to Louisiana for a rare ear issue - luckily that didn’t require a craniotomy like my other ear did, and my older brother has been diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia. Life can just be such a struggle at times Jack, but we make the best of it and do what we can and change what we need to. I think some of the others have given some good ideas for you to think about if you want to find a community of sorts. You’ve got us, but it’s not the same as face to face. Take all the time you need. Sending love your way.
Jack you are the man! I just had the loss of my dog, a few months ago, it still makes me sad to this day. I think you're totally right about taking action instead of changing thoughts, that is always my first thought as how to fix myself when I become stuck in life. I think your self awareness sets you apart. You have a gift of storytelling and breaking down concepts, people obviously connect with you, whatever you stumble upon you will excel in and Im sure you'll continue to educate and help people! This video alone I can relate to, and im sure its gonna help out others as well!!!
Jack your not alone! Take the time you need. I’ve been through this before too. My Pomeranian is 19 years old so I know what is on the horizon. Miss you and your videos. Hope to see you soon ❤
All the best Jack, your videos are much appreciated. But your mental health is more important, you gotta do whats best for you ❤. You're very open and honest.
Thanks for sharing Jack. I can relate to much of what you’re saying. Now in my 60s and discovering vegan lifestyle, I’m so much more aware of who I was, am and want to be. Hoping your fur baby lives on well. Best from Downunder! Take your time and take a breather.
Thanks for being so open Jack! I can relate to so much of this. I struggled my teenage and 20s w/an ED and used that to shield myself and cope with the world. I also lost my sidekick Neeko 🐈 few months ago and it was rough! I can say that working now outside the home and an awesome gym has helped with building community and brining fun into my life. You will find your people, just keep going! 🤗
So relateable, I feel like this is happening with me too, so glad your cat is ok, I didnt know you had a cat, cherish them! Btw, never underestimate your importance even if the videos you make seem to be repetetive, they are important recipes that can help someone out that hasn't thought that.
Take as long as you need dude. I spent 30 years drunk and it's easy to regret stuff and beat ourselves up but it's time that's past now so it's a great time for a reinvention ourselves ❤
I can resonate with everything you mentioned. I am in a similar situation. Thanks for your honesty Jack. You are an awesome guy. Take as much time as you need. I love that you are not going to “think” yourself out of this situation, but instead, you are choosing action, from a strong place of meditation. I think that is spot on. See you back here when you are ready. Wishing you the very best.
Jack, I can tell you are a sweet Genuine person And I enjoy your content very much. Take the break that is much needed and we will be here when you get back!
Thank you Jack. I too isolate due to social anxiety which has gotten worse over the years. I am trying to do better too. Thank you for sharing so much of your story. ❤
I am very impressed with your self awareness. This is a bump in the road and you will get past it. I wish you all the happiness you deserve. Take care of yourself!
Don't forget that COVID hit us hard as a society Jack, and while your past actions did shape your life now, don't forget the immense impact of the pandemic and god knows how many other factors as being part of this society in America. Even in massive social institutions like universities, it's extremely common to hear about students feeling like they have no life, they have no friends, no idea of what they want from their future because well.. making interpersonal connections has become significantly harder. I'm happy for you and your wakeup call because 3 years is better than 6...10...15 years wasted in "insanity". Sounds like you got all the right ideas and your own body is letting you know it's time to take action and move out of your comfort zone. Sending you strength, clarity, and love friend 🤍 Take all the time you need, we will all be here cheering you on.
Peace and love to you Jack. I did you tube videos for a while but stopped for a few reasons. I have lots of hobbies I do at home and I got a dog. I like isolating myself from the world and being a homebody. Take care.
Thank you for sharing....it has been a very confusing past 5 years....one thing that has come up for me is about finding my purpose....perhaps finding a new opportunity to be in service to others might help you meet people and find more peace...take all the time you need...
Sending you lots of sunshine & hearts 💞take as much time as you need feeling peace, more important than you tube. Go out in nature it makes the heart feel good.
Take as much time off as you need Jack! I can relate with your situation a lot as I have been going through something similar. Please take care and see you when you choose to come back.
Good for you, Jack! you've got such a strong foundation with healthy eating and fitness, your evolution is stellar! Looking forward to seeing what unfolds in your life.
Much love to you man!! I get restless and need to change things big every few years- glad you're getting after it by focusing your energy! See you soon-
Thank you so much for all that you do, Jack. I've been watching you for a while now ever since I became vegan. Your approach to diet is inspirational. I wish you and Teddy the best! ❤
Oh Jack, so sorry to hear about your kitty and about you too. Great idea about making things happen instead of just thinking about them. With your sincere and genuine personality, I would have thought you would have a lot of friends to hang out with. I hope you make some good connections. God Bless You! You're in my prayers. 🙂
I agree with you. I went through therapy after my mom died, just last year. After a while I was in the same place as you mentally. My addiction was junk food. I recently went back to school to improve my situation, at the very least to make some changes. I agree with whoever said to pick up volunteering. That was one of the best and most rewarding things I have done. Pick something you like, nothing earth shattering. Some people walk dogs at the shelter, or play time with cats. I like volunteering for things that help the planet. You could teach WFPB at a local library or school. I love the ideas you've come up with and save the videos to repeat. Good luck on your journey of discovery. It's good to get out of a rut and try something new. Just don't disappear. ❤
Good for u Jack ;) U take care of urself! Glad the lil kit cat is well Sea you soon! Thanks so much for sharing yourself with us and all of your awesome food! Bee well
It can be so hard to be uncomfortable and vulnerable and try new things. Envision what you want your life to look like... feel like... and consider what needs to happen to get from where you are to that new life. Most of us are experiencing this in one way or another, but many proceed on, dissatisfied and not willing to put in the work. I commend you for not only being aware, but taking action. I'm excited to hear what you decide and the progress you make. See you soon! 😊
Thank you for your honesty, Jack. I have found some chalkenge and peace in focusing on inner child work here lately. It has been enlightening. Peace on your journey.
I’m so happy your fur baby is ok. My kids are senior rescue chihuahuas and my life revolves around them so I can relate. Have a good week and while change is hard for all of us it’s kinda exciting that you’re planning a new start. Many ppl can’t do that for various reasons so it’s v cool. Take care of yourself and see you soon🤗
Hi Jack - You need to come down and visit The Villages down here in Fla. Moved here last year and so glad because it has a strong social community and a great place to age. We could use someone like you. Touch base if you want to come check it out. !
Sending love❤️. I understand the 3 years. I am glad your kit is ok. Have my senior girl too. Shiba Inu turned 14 this year.❤️❤️I understand your whole talk resinated. Thanks for your candor as it is helping to address my hurt heart. Hope you have a good little break. Stay blessed.
No doubt this will be good for you. Respecting our mental health is so important. Norhing wrong with preferring solitude. I know you remember Buddha received enlightening when he stopped trying so hard. This is applicable in other areas of our lives. But practically, the future can be a worry. Im so rooting for you. 🙏
Jack you are a genuine person and that is why I enjoy your content. Your realness sets you apart from other youtubers.
Take your break , Jack! We’ll be here waiting for you. Maybe find some volunteer opportunities to make some outside connections? Be well and your kitty too . 😍😍❤️❤️
Look forward to seeing you back when the time feels right :-)
We are your village; we have your back and wish you well. Peace to you and all sentient beings.
Little orange buddy is lucky to have you. Take care and look forward to your next video, when you're ready. 😊
I’m glad your cat is all right. Hang in there, Jack. Sending you all the positive energy - remember to take it one day at a time. ❤
Some times we need a break, glad the furbaby is ok.
