I agree with everything you say….my own personal vegan journey has been similar. You learn as you go along and figure out what works and what doesn’t. It’s up to us as individuals to do our own research. I’m a huge fan of Dr Barnard btw. Great video thank you 🙏 🌱

I feel like I've eaten a whole days worth of fat in one sitting with nuts, they DEFINITELY can get outta hand for me!! Thanks for sharing what works for you, great info🥰

I listened Dr Fuhrnman as well and learned from him it is important so people do not develop dementia or even pneumonia…and Dr. Greger talks nuts are important too (daily dozen) and I watch Markus Rothkranz here on youtube who thinks fats are important too..

Nice to hear from you on this topic. No fat is also very hard to sustain long term. What's your thoughts on olive oil? I understand the logic behind no using any oil, but there's actually a lot of research that shows the way how it helps with dementia, inflammation and even certain conditions because of it's high content of olorupein

A Fuhrman fan here as well! I eat a similar diet to you Jack I think but my discipline around nuts is variable so I just buy cashews as I need them, though walnuts I can keep in the house as I can resist over-snacking on them! Good to know they are one of the healthier sources of the fats we need. I do use olive oil and buy one with high polyphenols (can be expensive) and use sparingly. Joel Fuhrman talks a lot about omega 3 being the one that perhaps can prevent dementia (he apparently treated a lot of older aged vegans and though they were lean and fit, the diseases of the brain tended to be what got them in the end. I don’t fully understand the epa/aha stuff but I did start supplementing with a cheap Algae based supplement as well as having some flaxseed in or on a meal most days. Simon Hill had a chat with Joel a while back, it’s a good humoured interview. Last thing sprang to mind was Alan Goldhamer and the SOS free (no Salt, Oil or Sugar) people; eg Dr Esselystyn, Chef AJ, and my thoughts are that for people who have serious health issues, heart problems or need to lose weight, that’s quite a good thing to look into, though I still think an Algae capsule would be worth taking! Oh and another good balanced source of info is the nutrition made simple channel imho, (though I’m still not convinced canola oil is ok!!)

Do you believe low fat raw vegan is a good way to heal issues? Especially stomach issues?

I think fat in the diet helps prevent dementia.
