No, he didn't hold black belts (at least not at the time). He did train with Benny "The Jet" Urdiquez, though. He later delved into several gymnastic & martial disciplines.
This my favorite VH song and Eddie’s playing is off the charts. The lyrics are mature too and I love the rap vibe with the spoken word vocals at the breakdown. This is one of top 3 most aggressive and ferocious songs ever and the outsolo to this day still raises the hair on the back of my neck.
This song never gets old these boys have ben bringing since vh 1. There first four albums were awesome. Enjoy u never see anything like this again. High octane rock. Rip EVH. U died to young but gave a lot to enjoy.
while i love watching these videos and love younger generations learning old school music, just to inform, not criticizing, this is not live. They are performing in an old rock show that used to come on the tv,, back in the day. Still love these video's. Keep rockin'
I have seen many bands and many lead singers in my 60+ years and only two stand out above all the rest for true stage presence and innately understanding a crowd in this era; and those were David Lee Roth, and Prince.
Relax. It's totally capable of being played. It's challenging, but not impossible. It just takes a some practice (and a set up that gets those harmonics to ring out nicely). I've played it live and I know many others who have also played it. The difference is that none of us came up with it, which is why Eddie is the revered genius and I'm just another schmo.
Sound is album ... vid is from a tv show. Obviously there are actual live performances of VH and others on a tv show, but this is not "live". All Van Halen albums were great to me, still one of my fave bands of all time. I listened to the Fairwarning album driving halfway across Canada and back in the day. I think I wore the cassette out lol. Great vid...love your reaction vids
yep, no doubt about that. it's literally exactly the same as the album which is pretty goddamn impossible. it's why they barely show ed when he does the guitar solo haha
EDDIE WAS A MONSTER GUITARIST. THE BEST THAT EVER LIVED
You just watched the most influential guitar player of the last 50 years. Died a year or two ago. Bow down.
Favorite all time Van Halen song!
The singer held multiple black belts, which kinda explains his antics on stage.

VAN HALEN D.O.A.
Yea thats a banger to ! 🎸🎸🎸
The Mighty Van Halen from 1978-1984 the biggest band in the World…..this album Fair Warning(1981) was their 4th multi platinum in a row

Van Halen - Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love (2015 Remaster). You're probably looking for requests with video, but the studio version can stand on its own.
This song plain and simple just kicks butt
This tune is a full on jam.
Won’t regret. Van Halen 1989 Tokyo concert part 1/14- There’s only one way to rock.
great song

I did listen to this cassette in my 71 Monte Carlo and seen them on this world tour .
Eddie is such a guitar GOD that he played the bassist instrument while he was playing his guitar 😯😯😯
The tone on the main riff is just beyond sick.
Cruising with it turned up
It's been my goto jam for the past few months. Great reaction u2!
EV was and is the man!
This is not the live audio, it is the studio recording, but I love this song!
Have you done "Hot For Teacher"? Super fun.

Yeassss. 1981. Live European tv
Shinedown - "Cut The Cord"🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I have seen many bands and many lead singers in my 60+ years and only two stand out above all the rest for true stage presence and innately understanding a crowd in this era; and those were David Lee Roth, and Prince.
Easily one of their top five songs
This song is "Atomic Punk" on steroids! 💪💪
To see the live at their best do Unchained live in Oakland 981
Dam felt like i just got my ass kicked lol, killed that shit
Need to check out Triumph! ..Autograph…Ratt
This is the studio version dubbed over a live show or lip synched. Great reaction and fun to see Diamonds Dave off his meds again.
The guitar beginning to this song is absolutely unable to be recreated by even the most professional guitarist!!!

Try Gary Richraft flying turkey trot live REO Speed wagon best guitar solo ever
Camera hasn’t much if any love for Eddie
TY for ur vid...U MUST watch ERUPTION with Sammy hagar LIVE EDDIE S BEST GITUAR SOLO EVER!!!!!!!!!
You need to watch their video for the song "Pound cake"!!! It's a banger!!!
Dubbing makes it sound like 3 guitars are playing
Great song but Lip-synch. You could tell when Eddie was putting his hands on Michael and his bass. Ed was a genius!
Can U React To A Song By Tk x Quon Che x D Blocc Called Street Life ?
Guarantee this is not the audio from a concert. It's the studio overdubbed on the video. Roth is not that good live.
yep, no doubt about that. it's literally exactly the same as the album which is pretty goddamn impossible. it's why they barely show ed when he does the guitar solo haha
@@RedBreadist What, you don't think Eddie could play the solo AND play a rhythm guitar track in the background?? 🙂
Awesome song, but I hate to break it to you. This was not a live performance.
Sorry, this is not live.
Lip sync Van Halen but I don't care.
The video takes away from the message.
