As someome that plays CoD mainly for the stories, thank you for crediting the campaigns, as they are often dismissed or given little thought, or at least that's the perveying feeling. And I always thought, despite being one of many mute protagonists, Logan was very well characterized, he'd follow David to the ends of the earth, and if the sequel had happened, I know his love for David would've broken whatever conditioning Rorke put him through. Great video, thank you for covering Ghosts
Campaign? An amazing new twist and story, Extinction? Fantastic and fun zombies alternative. Multiplayer? Bad but the killstreaks were pretty cool and and the special map changers were awesome. An amazing game that is overshadowed by hate simply because it's mulitplayer was bad. Also the badass Eminen song to come out of it
Multiplayer is what keeps players playing for years on end, not a CoD Campaign. Extinction is nowhere the level of zombies and it’s too grindy. Halo missions have more replayability with good enemy variety and skull modifiers.
@@hachelyd_i3232 Extinction you actually had a goal you had to achieve and the classes you had as well as the optional objectives you could do to get upgrade points to upgrade you character made it so it wasn't the same old "Kill zombie, buy gun, kill zombie, buy perk, find power, kill zombie, pack gun, kill zombie.

So respect for loving what you love. I just came from the perspective where I started with CoD 4 when I was like 7 or 8 and played every CoD since that. And going from BO2 to Ghosts just seemed very underwhelming, especially because of how great BO2 is. Ghosts is NOT a bad game at all. Just in the context of all the previous games in the series, it was just not very good at the time. It is still a solid boots-on-ground CoD title and it has a fanbase so it will always be remembered.
i have been WAITING for this one!! ghosts is a game that i played when i was younger, and thus didn’t understand that it was a game that i wasn’t supposed to enjoy. the missions are solid, the ghosts themselves are all great (you’ve got the voice actors of reyes from IW and TOMMY MILLER from tlou!), the ending is good and still makes me long for a sequel 10 years later. it definitely didn’t deserve the pure hatred that it received, there are a plethora of other COD games that deserve the backlash more than this one.

As somebody who played the competitive multiplayer for that I feel like no one can go through how great that game was featuring the servers have been shut down for years
The thing that I liked the most in the multiplayer, is the unique stuff with the maps. For example: if you shoot the tree in the prison map, it falls and creates a "bridge". In the Las Vegas map you can get a killstreak by blowing up the ghost simbol on the truck, blowing up parts of the environment. In the tremor map you can push the dumpsters, on the train station you can close doors. You can close the big gate of the castle. The little town is getting shot at by mortars. And last but not least, my favorite. In the tank factory there's a killstreak where everything goes to sh*t and there's smoke everywhere, and in the stadium if you get a killstreak a rocket from LOKI or ODIN hits the map, killing everyone and then the whole map changes. Ect. I love it so much. AW tried this too with unique killstreaks like the railgun on top of the dam. The AA gun at the Golden Gate Bridge etc, which was cool but not as cool as in Ghosts
I just bought the game on Steam because I wanted to relive the campaign... platinumed it in 3 days and yup even after almost 10 years it's still one of my favorite CoD campaigns. We need CoD Ghosts 2 to round out the story. People really talked this game down too much imo, it's by far not a bad game and I love the style and some of the gameplay elements they choose.
This was the first COD game i ever played and will forever be my absolute favorite. I loved it so much and i will never forget playing the multiplayer or survival modes with my best friend when we were younger. I miss it. Very disappointed it never got a sequel, one can wish tho
Ghosts was hated on, but I remember getting that game a couple months after boot camp and playing with my buddy in the barracks before going home for Christmas leave. We played all night until it was time to go to the airport. I know it wasn’t great as a game, but as a memory…
Fun fact: “hesh” also means high explosive squash head which is a tank round, hesh in game can be very explosive especially when seeing rourke killing elias

Always love your videos! A quick thing, 'new engine' is always a buzzword in game marketing but it means very, very little. A new engine (in theory) means it can handle more effects. It doesn't add anything, it just relaxes the restrictions on the devs. The slide introduced in Ghosts is completely possible in the old engine. It was just a new idea, I would expect to make the movement feel a little more advanced than it's predecessors.
This game will always have a special place in my heart due to the fact that this is the game where I met my best friends who have given me some of my favourite moments in my life.
I loved this game and I’ll die on the hill that this campaign is on par with MW and blops. Federation Day and Clockwork are THE ghost missions this games deserves a sequel.
this was one of my first COD games, i couldn’t give a crap about the story, but the missions were fun and entertaining, thats all i could give a crap about, a ton of variety really made it fun for me
This was the first game I played on PS4 and while I wasn't crazy about it, I did like the Dam mission, the final Train mission and of course Riley. I do wish the game was a prequel story about Ghost from MW2 though!
"wHat aBoUt tHe cLiFf hAnGeR aT tHe eNd??" *Ghost was introduced in the game cod* *warfare remake, MW3 remake... if cod ghosts* *wasn't made, then there's no point putting* *ghost in the damn remakes.* (The real ghost died by the hands of General Shepard... which makes it more messed up.)
Ghosts will always be held dearly close in my heart because it was the first COD I'd ever played and probably the only video game where I was on the edge of my seat at the end cutscene (at the time). The only reason I even got further involved with the franchise was because I had waited desperately for a sequel for years. Of course, I realize its flaws, but it was new and refreshing for an immature gamer like me.
Its sad that there is only about 200 people at a time in Ghosts. Someone needs to remake it or something. Maybe just a remaster. We just need a new version so this game gets popular again.
In a German let's play (gametube) they said about this game: "Man, they're so good at storytelling, if only they had a story to tell" and that pretty much hit the nail on it's head for me. The way they present everything in this campaign is still mostly excellent, but there is just very little to work with.
At 18:40 , you can prevent Elias from getting shot. You just got to really spam the shit out of your F key or square until rorke takes the gun back and hits you.
I deffo have first COD game pre order bias, but this was the first COD I played for the entire year along with all my friends, so deserving of a sequel and the fact we have had about 6 different Black Ops and MW games since this came out pains me. We deserve a Ghosts 2.
it is a bit saddening despite me liking MW 2019 and Cold War, because it may be a bit before COD devs try anything new because the things they made that were new didn't do well critcally, and suffer from being released at the wrong time, at least, Ghosts and Infinite Warfare, even if the quality wasn't the best for Ghosts
This was my first COD game and it’s special to me. It was mine blowing for me. It pretty much had all the kinds of missions I could ask for lol. I’m glad I’m not the only one who loves this game. Not saying it the best but my opinion and my favorite.
This game was the shit when it came out. I seriously never understood why people hated on it so much when it had so much to offer. A pretty decent campaign, an awesome aliens mode as opposed to zombies, the multiplayer killstreaks and maps and extra content were all classic and enjoyable. They had freaking Snoop Dogg as an announcer and Eminem did a track and music video for the game too. It was a pretty good CoD game, even by today's standards. If Ghosts came out this year with modern graphics and Warzone tacked onto it, everyone would love it.
I love this game. My little brother and I spent hours at a time playing against each other, him with more low profile builds and myself with a more run and gun style.
Ngl… despite criticism of multiplayer. The single player campaign and lore were missed out, and it was really good! Personally, a lot darker than MW OG series.
The bombardment isn’t missiles, they are kinetic rods that pick up energy as they fall through the atmosphere. This technicality is why it’s not illegal to have them in space.
Another game series that would be really cool to see are the yakuza games the story in the games are about 20-25 hours long and they are just so badass (and don’t forget the karaoke)
5:50 It’s highly probable that the Federation boarding party was shooting frangibles; frang’ rounds are specifically designed to shatter like safety glass on contact with any sufficiently hard surface, and were specifically designed to be used aboard aircraft. It’s only logical that the boarding party would use them here. 12:03 My brother in Christ, those are LCACs-Landing Craft Air Cushion, popularly called hovercraft. The US military has many of them right now, and they run on oil.
I really enjoyed this game it was actually my 2nd game I got and Black OPs 1 being my first, I played the heck out of the Multiplayer in Ghosts, and it was really cool I loved the destructible environments that you can do like blowing up walls, knocking down electric pole, gas station, etc it was unique. and I honestly wish this Ghosts had a sequel if only the game didn't have too much hate. But I do definitely believe that Ghosts deserves a remake or remaster.
I am so happy to see that I am not the only one who wants to see CoD Ghosts 2. Call of Duty: Ghosts is, by far, my favorite Call of Duty game ever. The multiplayer may have not been as good as some of the other games’ , but I freaking love the campaign, so much so that I have replayed the campaign God only knows how many times, and I even ended up being a Ghost for Halloween one year. Freakin’ awesome!!! Also, can I get a like for Riley? He’s a good boy! 😁
4:57 Project Thor (aka "Rods from God") was developed precisely as a workaround to the named 1967 Outer Space Treaty. WMDs were defined as nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons - specifically designed to cause mass harm & to damage the biosphere of a given area. Tungsten rods would not harm the biosphere. It would essentially be nothing more than a conventional attack munition, using kinetic bombardment rather than more elaborate methods (such as chemical explosives shaped into a delivery system) to destroy their targets. Officially, Project Thor was abandoned by the USAF due to it being far too expensive to push that much mass into space. Your thematic points are neat to consider, I just wanted to share the real-world history.
5:06 actually Odin doesn’t violate The Outer Space Treaty. The treaty only says no WMD’s. Odin users kinetic bombardment and has no chemical, biological or nuclear weapons
The weird thing for me about this game is whenever I play regular team deathmatch and get killed, the entire HUD disappears, and so whenever I die it feels like the match is over.
Honestly, as much as the concept of an open world CoD is outlandish as hell, but I feel like Ghosts could make a neat open world concept. Exploring a region of the US that was devastated by ODIN as a Ghost, with all your gear being OSP (on-site procurement) and having to rely on stealth would honestly make a pretty fun experience, even if it wasn't launched as a mainstream COD game.

Cod 4 and WaW and MW2 (cod 6) will always be the best for me and so so hard to beat but I’m well aware that it probably mostly down to nostalgia ❤
Feel bad for you bro. CoD Ghosts is the worse CoD right next to AW and Vanguard. Even infinite Warfare is better. There’s too much bad stuff about this game
@@hachelyd_i3232Please cry more
Fun fact about the ending, you can spin around 180 to face tbe opposite wall, and fire the gun, it will very quickly spin you back around to shoot him in the chest
Ghost also had some of the best weapon animations in terms of realism and only re-used one animation (for the remington) which I find pretty neat
The MR-28 reused the animation from SCAR
@@flame_101 Forgot about that, good point.
Don’t forget the M-14 and LSAT. CoD Ghosts is the worst
“Real scans from a seal team service dog-“
Also the badass Eminen song to come out of it
I loved the story and lore. Thought it was a nice twist to the red dawn type story.
Such a fun game ..and that cliffhanger ending! We, the players demand justice in the form of a proper sequel or sequels!!
Infinity Ward is always the best with campaigns!
Using the Helo Pilot and Loki.
And an actually interesting enemy with the Federation!
And if you actually listen to the intel, Rorke is just a pawn of the guy who actually runs the federation, and it’s by his orders that your MC is to be taken alive for switching sides.
This makes me want to replay the campaign. I loved it so much, the whole game really. This was the first cod campaign I played where I really cared and was able to understand the game’s story completely. I absolutely loved it, same with the multiplayer.
What's hard to understand about any of the other campaigns?
@@SimbaChar nothing, I was just pretty young when this game came out so before then I didn’t really understand (or care really) what was going on in the story all that much.
@@cadenmelvin5438 ah fair, that makes sense. Everyone I see defending this game was a kid when they played it.
@@SimbaChar yeah that’s true, honestly I’d probably still like it now. But it’d be hard for me not to like it since like I said it was the first one I really understood lol.
@@cadenmelvin5438 Yeah I 100% get what you mean. I have a similar opinion of Far Cry 2. Its very split in the fanbase. Either people think its terrible or its your favourite Far Cry game.
12:39 With all it's flaws I love COD Ghost. But when I play this scenario the first time and being a venezuelan myself I couldn't stop laughing, specially with the Dam part xd It's like so surreal for me
I think he got the title wrong lol ALSO PLEASE DO TRANSFORMERS FALL OF CYBERTRON NEXT. Please please please please that might be the most underrated game ever, it is a masterpiece
Did you also have modern warfare?
Yes please. WFC and FOC are the best games of the transformers ip and they are good games besides just good transformers games. Hopefully Xbox puts them on game pass like the leaks are saying
As somebody who played the competitive multiplayer for that I feel like no one can go through how great that game was featuring the servers have been shut down for years
bro fix your grammar
@@marbl3d45 it was one incorrect letter that I missed chill out
The thing that I liked the most in the multiplayer, is the unique stuff with the maps.
@noob4head preach! We need a sequel
One of my favorite cod campaigns! They could’ve done so much with the Walker family had there been a sequel! Thank you for this video🙏🏾
Let's GO GHOSTS IS AWESOME AND UNDERRATED. Man. This game was good
This was the first COD game i ever played and will forever be my absolute favorite.
I know it wasn’t great as a game, but as a memory…
one of my fav cods OAT. granted i didn’t play all of the cods growing up. but next to mw3 and bo2, it holds a special spot in my heart
this was always one of my favorite cods for some reason
Fun fact: “hesh” also means high explosive squash head which is a tank round, hesh in game can be very explosive especially when seeing rourke killing elias
20:18 Norse Loki, unlike Marvel Loki, isn’t the son of Odin and brother to Thor, Loki is “Technically” Thor’s Uncle. In mythology Odin and Loki are blood brothers. That’s why dispite being both a Johtin, trickster, and pain in the everything he’s allowed to hang out with the other gods in Asgard.
Federation Day and Clockwork are THE ghost missions this games deserves a sequel.
this was one of my first COD games, i couldn’t give a crap about the story, but the missions were fun and entertaining, thats all i could give a crap about, a ton of variety really made it fun for me
I still play extinction. That shits hella fun and unique, multiplayer is pretty cool too with the unique specs
This was the first game I played on PS4 and while I wasn't crazy about it, I did like the Dam mission, the final Train mission and of course Riley. I do wish the game was a prequel story about Ghost from MW2 though!
"wHat aBoUt tHe cLiFf hAnGeR aT tHe eNd??"
*Ghost was introduced in the game cod* *warfare remake, MW3 remake... if cod ghosts* *wasn't made, then there's no point putting* *ghost in the damn remakes.* (The real ghost died by the hands of General Shepard... which makes it more messed up.)
It is a SIN that you didn't include Ajax flipping him off
Ghosts will always be held dearly close in my heart because it was the first COD I'd ever played and probably the only video game where I was on the edge of my seat at the end cutscene (at the time). The only reason I even got further involved with the franchise was because I had waited desperately for a sequel for years. Of course, I realize its flaws, but it was new and refreshing for an immature gamer like me.
One of my favourites. Only played it once like 7 years ago but I remember it more fondly than the others. I should buy a copy
I loved ghosts campaign it set up a sequel but im sad it never got one
I love seeing 3 commercials before you even broach the prologue. So fun living in an age of schills and adverts.
I freakin love Ghosts. The color, graphics, animation, audio and improved gameplay. At least one step above MW3.
“Dammit! I could think of some clone troopers who would be mad right now.”
Underrated line
The opening space mission made me happy. Having a Baker save the day. Sure, I died but damned if I didn't go out like a hero.
This campaign was actually rlly well done, shame it got alot of hate. Ik mp may have been a miss but campaign was solid, wouldn’t mind a ghost 2
We deserve a Ghosts 2.
we don’t need a ghosts 2
@@marbl3d45 ghosts 2 doesn’t deserve you.
it is a bit saddening despite me liking MW 2019 and Cold War, because it may be a bit before COD devs try anything new because the things they made that were new didn't do well critcally, and suffer from being released at the wrong time, at least, Ghosts and Infinite Warfare, even if the quality wasn't the best for Ghosts
@@defenderofminorities3056says the guy who likes his own comment
@marbl3d45 nah let's just remaster mw a couple of more times
One of my favourite cods of all time i always remembered the first cut scenei always thought the man that got shot looked like milk. 😂😂
Great to see the sudden rise of the popularity of the underrated Ghost
I love this game. My little brother and I spent hours at a time playing against each other, him with more low profile builds and myself with a more run and gun style.
When I was younger I loved this game without knowing that it is disliked by the community
Ngl… despite criticism of multiplayer. The single player campaign and lore were missed out, and it was really good! Personally, a lot darker than MW OG series.
I've never understood the hate for this game. I've beaten it on the Wii U, 360, and Xbox one. I loved it.
I loved Ghosts. Maybe it's coz I'm always a couple years behind every franchise
“I’ve been looking forward to this”
This game is GOD TIER anyone who disagrees can piss right off
I would say the Campaign is GOD TIER, but the multiplayer and extinction modes are, in my opinion, bad, but this game has an almost perfect campaign.
@@Drizzit3246both of y’all are crazy
The bombardment isn’t missiles, they are kinetic rods that pick up energy as they fall through the atmosphere. This technicality is why it’s not illegal to have them in space.
I replayed ghosts because of this video. It’s campaign and extraction mode are middle of the road but better than I remember.

*First of all, how dare you.*
I actually liked this game and only appreciated it more when I revisited it
I will always love this game, i will always hope they make a 2nd ghosts.
Id give you a like but this game is just so awful

Most underrated cod campaign of all time. Definitely needs a sequel with the new engine and graphics. As well as quality story telling

It’ll always be special in my heart.
One of the best Call of Duty games. It really doesn't get enough love as it deserves

Project Thor (aka "Rods from God") was developed precisely as a workaround to the named 1967 Outer Space Treaty.
Thank you for covering this! Ghost has to be my favorite cod, right next to AW!
ghosts was the first cod game i played n the campain is awesome even though it kinda falls in some areas i still really love it to this day
5:06 actually Odin doesn’t violate The Outer Space Treaty. The treaty only says no WMD’s. Odin users kinetic bombardment and has no chemical, biological or nuclear weapons
The weird thing for me about this game is whenever I play regular team deathmatch and get killed, the entire HUD disappears, and so whenever I die it feels like the match is over.
my own little head cannon is that the "Ghosts" were inspired by our OG Ghost and thats why they adpoted the skull mask just like him
I absolutely LOVE this game, it just has something to it that I hold close to my heart. But man, this CoD truly was the black sheep of the family...
I still think that extinction was a hidden gem
Campaign is a lot of fun. MP is fun too
Suddenly everyone is talking about this game… I love it
whats the title of the track at 8:53 im making a plalist and that kinda rocks
Honestly, as much as the concept of an open world CoD is outlandish as hell, but I feel like Ghosts could make a neat open world concept. Exploring a region of the US that was devastated by ODIN as a Ghost, with all your gear being OSP (on-site procurement) and having to rely on stealth would honestly make a pretty fun experience, even if it wasn't launched as a mainstream COD game.
