    Congrats on the new plant baby, what a generous & amazing gift! You deserve it, you really are one of the best channels that I've come across that actually takes the time to explain things thoroughly, walk through different topics and genuinely wants to help the plant community to learn. One of the most newbie friendly plant UA-camrs especially, I never knew that there was so much to learn just with house plants (nevermind outside gardening on top of that) and it felt so overwhelming at first but you made me feel at ease with it. Just last weekend I went out and bought a marble queen pothos as yours is just so beautiful that I had to try one for myself! I'm so glad that I came across your channel and I sincerely wish you continued success and growth.♥

      @@AlohaPlantLife Newest Wishlist story: Saw an old Kaylee Ellen UA-cam; Plant Dupes, Spiritus Sancti. Kaylee said Atabapoense was inexpensive alternative. So I ordered an Ata cutting from PlantGrab on Etsy, & told seller Ata cutting is suppose to save me $$$ from PSS. Then, saw Red Leaf Exotics UA-cam pollinating PSS flowers. Short story-long, before my Huge Atabapoense arrived, my tiny seed grown Spiritus arrived from Red Leaf…. Now poor till next SS check, haha….. 3-day wish list, LOL…..

    I had trouble with my Manjula Pothos when I first got it but I found it really easy to propagate in my perlite prop box and the new cuttings adapted a lot better to my environment, mine seemed to need more water than I am used to giving my other pothos plants.

    Give it a pole, the leaves are HUGE when they climb and they grow very fast growing up, you wont be disappointed if you grow them this way. They also have prettier variegated leaves if grown in a little bit lower light.

    I bought a pictus from a big box store. The leaves were all curling so I kept watering it. 🤦‍♀️ Finally I took a closer look and it was just a bunch of cuttings with no roots in an 8 inch pot and for full price plant. 😤 It's so pretty tho once I figured out the problem 😍

      Hi Shelly, this message is totally unrelated to the comment you made on this video but I could have sworn I saw a message from you on my latest video saying you had an issue with your Aroid Asia order being held up by DHL but when I went to read and reply to it just now I can’t find it……Am I just imagining things, lol? Did you get your order finally?

Trying not to be so negative. Lol. I still haven't received my order yet. DHL keeps giving me the run around when I ask them. They say tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow. I ordered a scindapsus from walmart 3 weeks ago, came in a 4 inch pot that was overflowing, I decided to repot it because it was so full, when I did I notice that half of the cutting weren't even rooted, it had a total of 11 cutting in a 4 inch pot

    So glad for this video. I rescued a silvery begonia which quickly went down to two leaves. It has sprouted a couple more but I will take your advice and downsize the pot. Plus it looks a bit silly now😉. Congrats for the Manjula! I want one too but on a pole. Keeping my eyes peeled.

    Amazon sells propagation pins, aka “planting forks.” I bought a rooted Hoya cutting from a local grower and she must not have been sure of one clipping so she had left one in. I thought it was so cool and decided to figure out how to get more! They are bright orange with a little tab which makes them easy to put in and find again! My favorite planty purchase of last year along with my moisture meter! I agree that Scindapsus argyreaus is a slow one to propagate. I’ve got one that was barely rooted when I bought it and have struggled to make it fill out!

    So happy I watched this video. I got a Scindapsus Pictus Argyraeus and it wasn't doing well. I decided to repot it and it was mostly cuttings that had hardly any roots and some root rot. The leaves were almost all curled when I did this. I have been waiting for it to go back to normal with uncurled leaves and it is taking longer than I thought it would. I am glad you told us in this video that it can take a while. Now I won't be so worried about mine. I also had to pot it down. I also took some cuttings and put them in water and they are starting to grow roots. I don't want to lose this plant, it is so pretty. Thanks again for your video.

All my plants are in Leca so it takes a bit of time to acclimate to semi hydro but it finally started sprouting and I have managed to get one prop from it for a fuller plant.

    Omgoodness.. my first scindapsus came the same way!! And, it was when i was a brand new plant parent, so i didn’t know to check the roots…. Lost that one but have one that is thriving now.. and it is surprisingly from Lowe’s lol.. beautiful manjula, btw.. I’ve been wanting one of those so badly.. Sorry for the double comment but my two cents for scindapsus (just my experience so far). I have an Argyraeus, and it takes forever to make roots after cutting propagations-the propagation I currently have has no clue popping out a new leaf, but some roots would be nice. 😅 it has the tiniest nub of an aerial root. The plant itself is a slow grower. I mean slow. Even with lots of light and a good watering schedule. But, it sure as heck is a cutie patootie!

    I have a question. Why don’t you uncoil the roots that are tightly coiled at the bottom. Wont they just stay tightly coiled like that and not branch out into the added soil?

    My treubii moonlight has been bobby pinned for about 3 months and the other day I looked BC I am curious and it's got about a 4 inch long root that's not branching out yet, but when I pushed it back in it stayed. So the other vine that was getting all up in everyone else's face is now pinned in as well. I've been just doing a little bit of top watering and then bottom watering to try and encourage the roots to go down and look for the water. I could just mist the top but I'm lazy. I do have some browning tips but I think it may be water related as we have hard well water and I tend to fertilize everytime I water. I premix a gallon of water with fertilizer and then use it as needed through the week. I have two plain gallons filled as well as that's for the dog and humidifier and occasionally that water gets used for plants. My moonlight I think is two or three vines but I'm always getting new leaves, she's starting to look more bushy with the pinning. I have my moonlight in terracotta BC that helps avoid the drama for me lol 😂

    Hey Drea!🪴 The leaves on your Cebu Blue are pretty large compared to my 6-inch CB that I have had for nearly one year. Just wondering what kind of fertilizer you use or recommend, or if you have other recommendations on how I can get larger leaves on my Cebu Blue and Golden Pothos?🪴
    Also, I usually keep my Cebu Blue a few feet away from a North-facing window because any more light than that burns the leaves; which is quite surprising.🪴
    I normally keep my Golden Pothos near a South-facing window.🪴
    Thanks in advance for your reply. We appreciate you!!🪴

    • @AlohaPlantLife
      @AlohaPlantLife  Рік тому +1

      This very odd that yours is burning that easily. I do know that their leaves will typically size up more quickly if you put them on a pole. This is the fertilizer I use: Bonide Houseplant Liquid Plant Food 10-10-10, 8 oz Concentrated Fertilizer for Indoors, Use Every Time You Water a.co/d/iFpjTxu

    • @writegirl2937
      @writegirl2937 Рік тому

      @@AlohaPlantLifeThanks, Drea!🪴
      I currently use Jack’s 20-20-20; another balanced formula I mix with water.🪴
      Somewhere, I read that a fertilizer heavier on the nitrogen side helps with larger leaf size, but I am not sure if that is true. Stay well, dear. We appreciate you!🪴
