All Motorops tuning in Canada 🇨🇦 is your friend. Their delete tune works kick ass with the DT44 stealth turbo from Duramaxtuner. The best setup will include the CX racing intercooler. Once you tune the stock plastic intercooler end pipe on the hot side will melt. (Ask me how I know all this ) Once you smoke your Torque converter from the HP upgrades Revmax makes a billet TC that will hold lockup in all 6 gears even towing. Don’t forget the PML trans pan and to put a trans cooler in….
@@TripleRidge If you have the tune already, the turbo, the TC and the trans pan you're at about $3500 after refundable core charge. Assuming you can do the work yourself.
Interesting you were able to transfer the tune using a cell phone and bluetooth dongle. For some reason if a phone connects to the radio/head unit via Bluetooth, it can jack up the tune transfer process, but that was with an AutoCal system. Did the tune include the transmission? The stock programming for the 2.8's 6L50 trans is soft, slippy and it just plain sucks. Tuning the trans to firm it up and shift it earlier is a must do. While all up in there, pull the sound deadening foam from the valve cover. A needle nose pliers works well for this, the upper half is easy, the lower half is a little more work but no big deal. I doubt ya'll are too concerned with a little more diesel noise at idle 😂 All this reminds me, a winter project for my Canyon is to pull the passenger side tire / wheel liner and check the turbo fasteners as they have been known to loosen. Finally, "I Do Cars" YT channel has a 2.8 teardown video if ya wanna see what the guts of the 2.8 looks like. There is also a GM 3.0 inline 6 diesel video as well, the 3.0 is a particularly interesting engine.
I you remove that band clamp on the down pipe as well and wiggle it around and smile just rite it will go out the bottom without cutting the flange off.
@thelastdragon3242 with the stock tune with egr and dpf shutoff, looking at better gas mileage? Sorry it may be a dumb question but I'm new to diesels and trying to learn as much as possible before buying one
@@BrandonWatkins614 Yeah maybe I didn't word that correctly. Meaning, you get an ECM tune that doesn't increase horsepower, but it does fool the computer into thinking your emissions components are intact, when infact, they are shut off, unplugged or otherwise. Having your EGR shut off sends the soot from the burnt fuel straight out through the exhaust instead of through the EGR. This will give you better gas mileage as the exhaust system can now breathe.
You can't in the states legally. You can make your own or just split the dpf apart and weld it back together and tune out the sensors with a off the shelf tune or just have a custom one made for it.
I've done it, by your self the downpipe alone is about an hour and a half start to finish, only reason is because you will walk away yelling the F word and giving your wrist a break. Don't cut it like he did. Remove ECU / reservoir and pull it through top.
@thelastdragon3242 I was thinking just removing the band and plate from it may let it drop out the bottom....but camera angles can be tricky it may not have room...
@jimb3137 The dpf/down pipe will come out through top if the coolant reservoir and are moved out of the way. It wasn't that bad it was just trying to discover that method that was painful.
The sensors and codes depend on each other, you have to stop some sensors for relaying off other systems so codes don't get thrown. The sensors will want to work no matter what.
@bradycaroll2198 the ruling against them had zip to do with deleted diesels. As the law stands now, altering or defeating factory installed emissions systems on diesels remains illegal in the United States so anyone that does so should keep their yap shut and keep themselves off the radar.

I have a gmc canyon Denali with that engine, it’s def getting the straight pipe and a tune
Do the muffler it's obnoxious after a while.
How bads the drone in the truck on highway. And how much did it all cost ?
So you guys just did this recently? You got all the parts and tune from Canada? Have you had any issues since? Thanks
I you remove that band clamp on the down pipe as well and wiggle it around and smile just rite it will go out the bottom without cutting the flange off.
Did you remove the def / dpf units from the truck as well? Can you get a tune that doesn't roll coal too much?
What’s the mileage on your truck buddies truck?
I would love more information
Do you have a link to that manual, I’ve been looking for a bit for something. Awesome video though!
When you were crawling out from under the truck 😂
Where are you located, where can I get the delete kit?
Any problems since that change?
Been some time now whats the mpg
Hello, I have a Colorado ZR2 2022, the system has already been disconnected, but addblue votes for me, could you give me some idea?
Awesome bro. Love this.
Do you happen to have a link to where you got the black tip from?
How many sensors are there under the truck
What mpg did you get from the tune?
great question
@@JesusMartinez-le6vn I'm no the OP but when I tuned I can get 35 MPG on HWY no problem, cruising around town is 27-28 mpg
Nice, but I cant imagine the neighbors were happy..lol
Chase tyson what tune did you use
I have to ask, how does it pass emissions testing?
😂 that’s a bright question there…
What kit and delete did you go with
Where did you get the tune and the parts?
I would like to do the same with my Chevy but I don't know where or with whom.
What’s the exhaust that yall got?
What brand is the pipe you got? Link?
Man you guys are a bunch of goofers, had me laughing. If we were near we would be friends. Sounds good and thanks for the vid.
How’s it running now?
Where did you guys order from?
love it
What tune did you use?
So what did it cost to do this?
Who you got the tune from ?
Any more horsepower added with the tune?
I know it has 3 different horse power levels you can do. 0,30,and 70 hp
there is 4 depends if you do the dsp switch to have them all or just pick 1

If you give it a stock tune with dpf/egr shut off, you're looking at about 10 more hp, and more response. All based on the fact it can breathe now.
