Quarantining and Treating New Tropical Fish - Xanthic Datnoid and Siamese Tiger Fish

We got some new rare datnoids in last week and I need to put them threw a quarantine process. I explain some of the medications used to treat for parasites. I will be using metronidazole and praziquantel.

Kevin you should build a pallet style coffin to carry your large water tank connect 3 pallets long ways using 1 by 2s to connect the pallets use some plywood to build a box and you can use 1 by 2 to make a u to hold the tank inside the box horizontally then you can use the plywood to screw around the whole box and forklift on the flatbed with it box build being solid enough you can stack a tank

Thanks for sharing this video. I've been keeping fish for over 50 years learned lots of stuff from my father and two older brothers my father always said never add a fish to an aquarium you have to quarantine it. Medications have come a long way over the 50-plus years looking forward to your next videos PS I am new to your Channel

I have a question, you said that markings on xanthic fish like that datnoid, gars and bass come and go. Can you tell me is there any chance that a fish like that loses their markings for good. I am asking because i would like to get some but i wouldn't want the fish to end up looking like a normal xantic type.

Would that medication help with angelfish tail bruising..I have an angelfish community where they occasionally get spotting and fading towards their tails melafix usually fixes it to a point I am wondering if this might be a better product By the way I just got a batch of fry :) I do have a quarantine tank I could move a couple more bruises up ones to if needed it's not ick all the other fish are clean and fine

Hard to diagnose from your description. Could be from aggression. Angelfish are still Cichlids so could be some nipping going on
