Tropica was CRAZY!! So much fun, I could not have picked a better co-host to show us around. George Farmer is such a down-to- earth guy! Really cannot put into words his passion for the hobby and all things nature, and aquariums. Please go check out his personal UA-cam channel for some amazing aquascaping demos and tutorials ‣‣‣ bit.ly/47gWE2a ALSO MASSIVE THANK YOU Tropica CEO Lars and everyone in the organization for letting me intrude on the busy production process and daily schedule to film this. I got to meet many of the employees and everyone was very kind and generous with their time :) BIG FAN OF DENMARK! 👏 AND Don't forget to CHECK OUT ‣‣‣ the Tropica LIVE Show: bit.ly/3sBA5Gc 🌱 Lastly, you can find Tropica's plants for sale online and in fish stores near you ‣ bit.ly/3MOQLAZ
Thank you for dropping by! It was a pleasure meeting you and your team 💚, hopefully our paths will cross again in the future (maybe during your next European tour) 🤞Best of luck until then ☘
Yes, we should all love plants, and we do! What an amazing place, I can feel the humidity from here, lol. Really magical, thanks George and George for taking us along.
I met George at the aquatic/reptile show in Toronto, I was one of the competitors in the aquascaping competition. Though it was billed as a competition it was more like 20 people having fun, helping w each others tanks and hanging out. Great place to make friends. George and all the people involved went out for dinner, had drinks, hung out and I can verify he's as chill and cool to people as he is in this vid. Definitely an inspiration in the planted tank scene!
This was so cool to see the behind-the-scenes. I hope you get into planted tanks after this experience! Vibing with the plants looked so fun. Big fan of Tropica plants. Most of the shops near me sell Tropica because the North American office is in Vancouver. I've learned a lot about plant care and ecosystems since finally starting my own aquascapes last year. Creating a planted tank upped my fish husbandry skills and the daily benefits of having such a tank are truly special :D...happy plants make for happy creatures!
Thank you for making this video. About a year ago I started my own aquarium scaping but some of my plants melted/died/ etc. so I started to do some research. This video actually made me learn a lot more about the plants and what I should look for in order to make my aquariums a lot more beautiful and healthier for my plants and fish! I got 5 big aquariums now and they run quite well. Again thank you for the vid!
This is such a great video, or soooo many reasons. One I worked at a aquarium store ,and we sell these plants ,so it's fantastic to see how they are grown , and the guy giving you the tour is fantastic... I love his little zen inspired commentaries..... What did the moss say to you???? I know I've had my own profound experiences just looking/gazing ... at moss. He's absolutely right!!!! Great show thank you.
This is so nice for me personally. I have visited Tropica 3-4 times way back in the days, when Holger and Claus was there. Much more "experimental" back then, not so "industrial". I remember walking UNDER a really huge collection of a big species of Echinodorus, but I guess that is all gone now. And all the experimental tanks (thank you for the small sample of Najas indica!). Now I am nostalgic - thank you for posting this!
Wow this video gives me a totally new perspective and an appreciation, on where my plants come from and what it takes to grow them, and get them out to the consumer. Thank you for sharing this info.
I have bought handful of Tropica plants and I knew from start that they grow plants in laboratory and they have better success rate to survive in new environments people have in their aquariums.
this was a push in the freshwater direction for sure. Maybe instead of a 3rd saltwater tank ill have a planted aquarium now. So beautiful when done right. I just dont want that green box lol
I used Tropica plants and the bio CO2 and man oh man i fell in love with plants.. Made another aquarium kept it till plants grew and now that tank is without the co2 and the rainbows and Molly's are enjoying it
What a fantastic place! I have some plant nutrition from Tropica, and it really is a good one. Since I've bought it, my plants have really started to thirve, and even the plants that many says can be difficult without co2 is doing well, even if they probably had been growing even better if I had given them co2 as well... Anyways. Love this video!
A very well-made documentary. Of course, they can replace those old outdated florescent lights with LED light, which gives a better spectrum for aquatic plants , not to mention save on electricity.
It is ridicilous to think so much effort and resources are put into a such a niche hobby, but holy shit this video made me so happy and motivated to go and propogate the plants from my aquariums :DD
I work in agriculture and I have fish tanks, I’d love to know the running costs of that place, the heating alone in the greenhouse and all those lights! Incredible facilities, be a dream job for me working there.
Wow this is amazing. I love plants. Wish I coult visit tropica too, but i think, I'm a very tiny youtuber, not impotrant at all. This Video is great :)
i love plants, i have a medow with a path through it, i sweep my hands allong the grasses, every time i wallk allong it. it seems the only thing i can do, though most people seem scared of the insect life

Double George. What's not to love 😂
It was a pleasure to show you around, George! Thanks for coming and feeling the energy ❤
Great Company and best plants.
you remind me of my neighbourhood british crackhead
Thanks for the tour. My little green heart was pitter pattering especially when you were hugging the alternanthra!
the "fiberglass cubes" are not fiberglass, they are made of volcanic rock that has been spun like cotton candy and its name is rockwool
I can work there my whole life in your studio. That's a dream to anyone who love's nature 💚💚.
Thank you for dropping by! It was a pleasure meeting you and your team 💚, hopefully our paths will cross again in the future (maybe during your next European tour) 🤞Best of luck until then ☘
Love that the CEO is called Green 😁

Yeah 😃 I was thinking the same. The usually bi-annual visits to the “The Caves of Zen” and an afternoon in the company of Holger. Happy days.
wow! I'm speechless on how many amazing plants they grow!
I love this episode !!! Plants are life ! I really connected to melting into the plants and resting in them
Wow this video gives me a totally new perspective and an appreciation, on where my plants come from and what it takes to grow them, and get them out to the consumer. Thank you for sharing this info.
Definitely going to be buying tropica plants seems to be good quality with a lot of care going into them. Thanks for this video

Funny to see how amazed you are about things we here in The Netherlands take for granted. Never thought of it like that.
