Honestly when I first saw this I though “who asked for this and why did we get this”. But now I can say that surprisingly I found this interesting and liked it.
Honestly, about 50% of the reason I got into this franchise and wanted these games is because of the architecture. The attention to detail, the lighting or shadow. How every moment, you want to take a picture/screen capture and frame it. That's some amazing work by the game designers. Could the interviewers perhaps tell them when we're switching games so they can compare the differences in authenticity and detail between them? They didn't realize they were being shown two different games because no one told them
Ooooh, this was so much fun! I'm just a big ancient art and architecture nerd, and it's so satisfying to see modern architects enjoy this series. They're such a pleasure for an architecture, art and history nerd to walk through.

Its common knowledge though that Cleopatra was up over 2000 years ago, they saw him climb a statue with long hair and thought Jesus? Im sorry but these are adults they should know a little bit better
@@JJacob94 common knowledge where? And exactly because theyre adults that that they have other things to worry about. Not everyone needs to know some random history of other culture that serve no actual purpose in their life. 🤷🏻♂️

next up on experts react: pizza delivery guy reacts to death stranding
This video was so wholesome, I had a smile on my face almost the entire time.
Presumably, these guys don't play games at all because of the 'is he a ninja' comment at the beginning; but look how a game completely immersed them in their own passions. That's beautiful.
Finally an “experts react” for my profession, but they literally only talk about simple things I learned in my freshman year...
Yeah, they are just college graduates. Hardly experts. I was expecting some PhDs when I saw the video title
they respect the lay audience
Honestly when I first saw this I though “who asked for this and why did we get this”. But now I can say that surprisingly I found this interesting and liked it.
Honestly, about 50% of the reason I got into this franchise and wanted these games is because of the architecture. The attention to detail, the lighting or shadow. How every moment, you want to take a picture/screen capture and frame it. That's some amazing work by the game designers.
I just loved that folks from the field, in their professional opinion they stated "you could study this in architecture school", that's high praise.

Finally watching someone giving respect to AC frenchise, after reading all valhalla comments these days. I think these games require lot of effort to setup the environment according to location and culture of setting
Oh, c'mon, you really had to say that? Saying, there is literally no effort put in into the story nor gameplay is quite ignorant, if I say so myself. There are plenty of them that do have that amount of effort put into them. The ezio games are loved for a reason. So is black flag and origins.
@@the_seer_0421 hey:( I think you got me wrong. What I meant was, people believe there is just story and gameplay in a game, but the amount of effort for giving us the proper monuments and other atmosphere according to the setting (culture) passes unappriciated
@@zenvir1680 oh I see, sorry then. I'm just seeing a lot of ac haters these days and I jumped immediately.

I love how as an Egyptian dude I recognize the traditional or local Egyptian music they had when they were talking about Egypt. Very cool little detail.
I wish they had told them that models from the game were actually used to help rebuild Notre Dame after it caught fire in 2019. I can't remember which areas specifically, but it was massively cool.
delivery man reacts to death stranding 👍
i cant forget someone comment "professional god reacts to god of war" lmao
Could the interviewers perhaps tell them when we're switching games so they can compare the differences in authenticity and detail between them? They didn't realize they were being shown two different games because no one told them
Ooooh, this was so much fun! I'm just a big ancient art and architecture nerd, and it's so satisfying to see modern architects enjoy this series. They're such a pleasure for an architecture, art and history nerd to walk through.
The relevance of the edits is one thing I love about this channel.
Ah it was such a light architect introspection of the game, specially the Egypt part, there were more details that could be explained rather than “that looks like Rome”
Medieval architecture in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is exceptional, wish we could've seen some of that.
"you can study off of these"
if they knew about the discovery tours
Assassins Creed is actually what sparked my interest in history as a child. I eventually graduated from college with my degree in History so thanks AC!
I have never more appreciated the detail. This video made me appreciate assassin's Creed for the first time
"Is that Jesus?" well for sure, they aren't pros at history of art or theology, lol
(the dude really used the words "windows" and "church" to talk about Notre Dame...)
("Roman" influence, I'm sure you mean Greek, right?)
Those 2 made me feel smart lol
are they really phony architects right? they maybe just actors
some of these people needa chill, these are ARCHITECTS. not HISTORIANS. There's a difference.
@@Haz1Art Beside the statue was from the back although I'm not aware of any jesus statue standing on rooftops of non religious buildings.
Hazwan Rahim Are you seriously saying it’s “not” common knowledge that Cleopatra existed before Christ? Are you legit serious? They teach that in every school in practically every country. Tiberius was Roman emperor in Jesus’ time, and he was adoptive grandson of Julius Caesar. That’s not just cultural; that’s biblical. It’s not random.
@@JJacob94 Get out of your bubble people have more important things to worry about

The Ancient Egypt setting has an optional "tour" DLC you can download for free. It removes all combat from the game and adds in an egyptologist who talks about the architecture and what it was like to live there.

"Is that Jesus?"
It's actually 2029 years ago
@@Fastwalker27 It is set in 49 BC/BCE so it's about 2069 years ago. It takes place in the time when Ptolemy XIII forced his sister who was co-ruler into exile. She teamed up with Julius Caesar and took Egypt back.
I have a big feeling like they didn't really gave the architects much info on the games, nor their time periods, but just showed them the games. I noticed how the mentioned 18th century France (because its common knowledge that and easier to recognize) but they didnt mention the time period for Egypt. Also them asking if Arno is a ninja, a confusion I can get if you don't explain what is being shown and then show someone sneaking and climbing around in a hooded dark suit.
@@MannyBrum Noice
@@MannyBrum "2069" lmao you can't make this shit up.
Notre Dame looks so realistic because its a photogrammetry model. its literally an exact copy of the original
also the colors in origins for the spinx and other buildings (which dont really exist anymore) are recreated based on particles found on the original or similiar buildings
They used a bunch of cameras and made a super accurate 3D model of the cathedral, it’s actually being used to help rebuild it
pls, more of this guys.. its relaxing to see them react and appreciate the game 😁and maybe, architect try to play the sims 4 and make an own design.
Bayek stands on Hades statue 'iS tHaT JeSuS'
Hades and Poseidon are Greek, Bayek is in Egypt. I don’t know which god he was standing on but it would obviously have to be Egyptian.
@@GeeDeeDee that's not poesidon cause poesidon has a trident with three sharp points while in the video it has only two points (the symbol of hades)
Lenni L yeah no, I just looked it up and historians are in a complete consensus that Serapis is Hades...
