Good list. I don’t like the cinnamon nutty Turkey funk so I’d probably have Stagg and ehtbp over the Turkey products for this year but can appreciate how it is your guys jam! Only had two bottles of KoK this year and this year might be the best since 2019 if not better. I compared it directly with a 2021 and it smoked it. Just a radiating fruit note mixed in with the richness of a full rickhouse and nothing comes remotely close.

I don’t have #’s 2-20, other than the Sagamore 8, but I do have your #1 and although not an “A” batch, it’s one of the best bourbons I’ve tasted in the last couple years, regardless of proof. Michter’s absolutely nailed it this year. My personal runner up was BBC Foursquare Collaboration, but I am a Foursquare fanatic.
I love that MM Cellar Aged finished so high for you guys. I really like their more specialty products. Hoping I can get a bottle of it on 2024 release.
From an all around view, including value, I have to go with 13th Colony Southern Bourbon. I know it may not be a 2023 release but that is when I found it. I did taste the Michters 10 yr and it is a banger, but I only had a single pour, and again, its impossible to find in NE TN. It is damn near impossible for me to find the crazy allocated or limited releases. I tried like hell to find a Cellar Aged, but I'll be damned if I pay $200 over msrp.
I always hear ppl talk about disco 3&4. While 4 is one of the best bottles ever, number 2 knocks them ALL out of the park
My m10 A23 was lacking. I could tell it had some real age to it but the palate was thin and finish was lacking it tasted good but just wasn't special. The king of ky was great
I was at a bar in San Diego. The bar staff just put out a new sealed bottle of WT Generations. I asked how much the, new guy was like " Im not sure hold on." Came back and said "$15 for a 1.5oz pour." I immediately got a double haha. Fantastic juice at that price. $500? Ehhh its good but not that good.

Michter's 10 year is still sourced distillate from BF - and may be from the same stock that becomes King of Kentucky. So your first and second place are actually from the same source, which may be the same mash that used to be BF Early Times BiB! The 13th Colony Double Oaked is also sourced.

Did y’all get to try any of the ‘23 OFPC? And if y’all did, was it taken into consideration for this year’s top 10 list?
i would suggest each of you pick your top 15, then compare the two lists and see if there are 10 bottles that made both lists. if not pick your top 20 each and try again.
So, this is kind of weird. I absolutely loved the M10B this year. But if King is in the contest, how can it not win? M10B is just watered down KoK. I can’t get KoK in my local market, so I am stuck with M10B.
My bourbon of the year is the RRSR CNF. I haven’t had the BTACs or a King this year, but I’m putting it there at the one spot. I have had Generations and liked CNF a bit better, making me question the price tag on the Generations, but you all made a great point about that being a sought after bourbon in the future.
So for me(Zach) King was my whiskey of the year but to be fair I would consider this a little off profile then a standard King. Which did make it lower in Dave rankings for his whiskey of the year. But nothing is wrong with that...I think when it comes to end of the year blinds once you start comparing things against one another it will come down to at that moment and at that blind what you like more, Thankfully I feel like our top ten is really great with a lot of distillery's showing up and doing really well.....Back to wild turkey I agree both bottles are great but I don't think we will ever see anything like generations again where RRSR I think we will see something similar to that down the road. @@bourbonkingdom, I agree with all of that. Great list! I think blinds are overrated, but also helpful. There were just a lot of difficult decisions for a Top 10 this year, which is rich people problems.

We didn’t not get them, and our list only consists of things we have actually gotten
so many diff channels had the Mich 10 in their top 4-5, most of them said "if it only had more proof". Delicious doesn't always been light your face on fire. To be fair, most of the time Id rather have something in the 90s to sip on.
I agree I don’t always want high proof. I enjoy them but some days I come home and just want a lower proof that I can enjoy for a longer time. I love a Tin Cup 10 year at only 84 Proof. Cheers🥃
But higher proof means it’s less diluted so the flavors would be better as well
