  • “No one in the prison HR system thought to have a little search and see who this guy was”.
Failure to properly vet a senior Times journalist, who was “essentially given free rein” within Bedford Prison shows “widespread incompetence”, says @AlbieAmankona.
“Overcrowding” and “lack of expenditure” form a “complex set of issues” which all contribute to the problems at prisons like HMP Bedford, says @y_alibhai.

Thanks for an interesting talk about destitution in the United Kingdom.
In regard to those who have been imprisoned and in accordance to law, it is worth considering that throughout the Commonwealth, according to the respective constitutions and local human rights practices, residents may not be afforded the same protection as citizens.
Sincerely hope for novel forms of justice to emerge within the Commonwealth to help those brothers and sisters who continue to feel the need to take the law into their own hands, to repent, and be punished such they and others will never transgress the boundaries of decency, morality, and Common Law, again🙏🧘‍♂️🕊️

I am American, so looking in from outside. In my worthless opinion, if I were British I would give labor a chance. But I have no allegiance to either party. It is not "political" for me. I simply want the UK to prosper. So please do not think that I am trying to influence your politics. Just offering an observation from the outside.

Mr Amankona needs to learn how to speak, and choose a more suitable name
