When you were at Napa, I'm surprised she didn't tell you that your O2 sensor was probably the reason your window regulator went bad and needed to be replaced.
And Napa says you need a new battery too because if you run the old worn out electricity to the window motors you will burn out the new window regulator.
Agreed to that, or Schumacher who makes a good battery maintainer that I've used for years on my RV, and Boat, he would do good to have a 30sec spot for them at the start of each video. Also someone like Sta-bil would not be a bad choice either since he lets a lot of his cars sit for long periods, and we all know how 10% ethanol gas can gum up over time, or just plain go bad faster.
You should consider 120V AC to 12V DC chargers for your least used cars. I wouldn’t recommend it on newer cars, but all you do is connect the battery terminals to the converter so that the car stays charged (the other end plugs into a standard wall outlet.

If you disconnected negative terminal for a year, you'd still have around 75 percent charge, losing only 2 percent per month. Not bad and less hassle than trickle charge. I did that for years then had mechanic tell about disconnecting the negative terminal. I garage one of my cars in the winter and just take off the negative now.

Re; The 850i: If you pull the General Module from under the driver's dash and have the capacitors replaced it will cure any problems you have with the windows, locks, trunk, wipers and headlights - especially if those problems present themselves under 45F outside.
What you need is a Master of Automobiles to feed and care for your cars. I'm just an old broken down war horse, but I'd be willing to re-locate to maintain your vehicles, shuffle them back and forth between the Stable and the Wizard Lair as needed. Just sayin..
The hardest part would be creating a spread sheet and a PMCS book for each vehicle. That would take the most time on the front end, but once done would be an easy update of fuel added, miles driven, additional maintenance performed by the Wizard outside of the normal add water/oil as needed.

Over the cars, heated the expense. Now down to two. Kept the Ford produced 2097 Jaguar XK connvertible (bullit prove) and traded the 2004 Rolls Royce Phantom for 2008 2018 Genesis G90...best car I ever owned. Owning a 9 car fleet for 8 years was fun...but deadly from "return on investment" point-of-view. Still loved the cars. Good luck! Skip Waldman

Suspension is going, subframe might disconnect in the back, but nothing looks cooler than an old running German car... That Leather, Oil and Musk smell you get from a BMW is like your favorite leather jacket. Can't sell it and take a loss, have to keep driving it dude! I just bought a BMW I figured it would be impossible to take a loss on. Its a turd but a nice turd. Its a 96 328i convertible. I don't know much about BMWs usually stay away from them because I have friends into buying BMWs and Mercedes and they always have a bunch of shit wrong with them and cost a fortune to fix but I only paid $900 for it and it only has 80k miles from Florida so it isn't all rusty or anything. The top you have to take up and down manually no way am I fixing it so its power, the radio doesn't work but I think the last owner had an aftermarket stereo because its in the dash loose. Haven't taken it out to see if its plugged in or not but the last owner ripped the door panels apart probably swapping speakers or something and used a bunch of sheet metal screws to put it back together and the seats are cracked but it has a brand new top on it and it runs great. I am a car dealer and it was at the end of one of the auctions. I figured I could buff it and detail it up as nice as its going to get and probably sell it for $3k to somebody wanting a fun car to drive around in the summer. My dogs love riding in it lol might keep it just to keep them happy. Can't get much of anything for $900. Lucky if it runs for that and it runs great but its pretty gutless.
Still have a bad taste from my last Porsche. I bought a 72 911 but the last owner put the quarters and all off a later car on it so it looked better but killed the value and it had a later engine in it that we could never get to run right. I wanted to put an LS in it since we have a few of them but there was a local Porsche nut that wanted it. Think I sold it to him for $4500 and paid a couple grand more then that for it. Probably should have had him get it running right for me or did like I wanted and put an LS in it. The last owner too put some goofy ass seats in it. Wish it had the stock front seats not those stupid ass "racing" seats it had that looked like something some kid would put in his old piece of shit Civic with a fart muffler on it. It was a really nice car other then I just could never get it to run for shit. Didn't dare really drive it anywhere it ran so bad.

What you need is a Master of Automobiles to feed and care for your cars. I'm just an old broken down war horse, but I'd be willing to re-locate to maintain your vehicles, shuffle them back and forth between the Stable and the Wizard Lair as needed. Just sayin..
Honestly probably not a bad idea.
The hardest part would be creating a spread sheet and a PMCS book for each vehicle. That would take the most time on the front end, but once done would be an easy update of fuel added, miles driven, additional maintenance performed by the Wizard outside of the normal add water/oil as needed.

I had a 9 car fleet...1961 Austin Healy BJ8, 2006 Bentley Arnage, 1988 Rolls Royce Corniche convertible, 1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, 1965 Cobra Mark III Superperfornce, 2012 Corvette GranSport, 2004 Rolls Royce Phantom, 2007 Jaguar XK convertible, and 1956 Thunderbird convertible, all of which I was spending thousands of dollars in repair and storage. Over the cars, heated the expense. Now down to two. Kept the Ford produced 2097 Jaguar XK connvertible (bullit prove) and traded the 2004 Rolls Royce Phantom for 2008 2018 Genesis G90...best car I ever owned. Owning a 9 car fleet for 8 years was fun...but deadly from "return on investment" point-of-view. Still loved the cars. Good luck! Skip Waldman

I've always wondered what it would be like to have adult Hooptie version of Jay Leno's garage. How much does it cost to insure all of those? I like that you're honest about the all the electrical demons and problems with all the cars... I have a 2003 BMW 330xi with 134k, its a nightmare to repair just like you said lol, but it looks nice with the black on black with premium package... Suspension is going, subframe might disconnect in the back, but nothing looks cooler than an old running German car... That Leather, Oil and Musk smell you get from a BMW is like your favorite leather jacket. Can't sell it and take a loss, have to keep driving it dude! I wanna see that pruis vs tesla race too, sounds badass!
I just bought a BMW I figured it would be impossible to take a loss on. Its a turd but a nice turd. Its a 96 328i convertible. I don't know much about BMWs usually stay away from them because I have friends into buying BMWs and Mercedes and they always have a bunch of shit wrong with them and cost a fortune to fix but I only paid $900 for it and it only has 80k miles from Florida so it isn't all rusty or anything. The top you have to take up and down manually no way am I fixing it so its power, the radio doesn't work but I think the last owner had an aftermarket stereo because its in the dash loose. Haven't taken it out to see if its plugged in or not but the last owner ripped the door panels apart probably swapping speakers or something and used a bunch of sheet metal screws to put it back together and the seats are cracked but it has a brand new top on it and it runs great. I am a car dealer and it was at the end of one of the auctions. I figured I could buff it and detail it up as nice as its going to get and probably sell it for $3k to somebody wanting a fun car to drive around in the summer. My dogs love riding in it lol might keep it just to keep them happy. Can't get much of anything for $900. Lucky if it runs for that and it runs great but its pretty gutless.
Still have a bad taste from my last Porsche. I bought a 72 911 but the last owner put the quarters and all off a later car on it so it looked better but killed the value and it had a later engine in it that we could never get to run right. I wanted to put an LS in it since we have a few of them but there was a local Porsche nut that wanted it. Think I sold it to him for $4500 and paid a couple grand more then that for it. Probably should have had him get it running right for me or did like I wanted and put an LS in it. The last owner too put some goofy ass seats in it. Wish it had the stock front seats not those stupid ass "racing" seats it had that looked like something some kid would put in his old piece of shit Civic with a fart muffler on it. It was a really nice car other then I just could never get it to run for shit. Didn't dare really drive it anywhere it ran so bad.
