Yoko a banker’s daughter knew JL well and used his weaknesses to manipulate him and ultimately to end his struggle to live. You could say she helped him. In China the addiction problem was resolved by executing the patient. In America today we dither and drain families of all resources before ending treatment plans. 😢IMHO Yoko made the right decision for her family, really she did the best she could after sacrificing her blood to deliver John’s genes to Earth she acted reasonably. To have allowed him to suffer through addiction would have been so cruel🤷🏽♂️

He was just pointing out that teenagers would rather listen to The Beatles and go to church or read the Bible, and that there was something of a moral decline in the Western world not necessarily related to The Beatles but there nonetheless. Of course John in many ways before he met Yoko was part of that moral decline in some of his behaviors,and somewhat after he met Yoko.
When John Lennon said, in the early 1960s amid mass Beatlemania, that The Beatles were "more popular than Jesus," he was just stating his reflex observation of their then epic popularity. He did not say that the band was better than Jesus, nor as worthy nor divine.

Fred Lennon returned when John was 5 and found out Julia had married another man and had 2 kids with him. So he offered to take John when he heard that Julia wasn't taking care of him, that Mimi was. John chose to go with his daddy but Julia showed up and started crying and little John chose to stay with her. But she went and gave him to Mimi. Don't blame John's father. If anyone is to blame it was his mother.

As a survivor of childhood abuse and neglect I can tell you it creates anger, lack of family values, emotional disturbance. Well, just so you know, at about 2:20, the bride shown with John Lennon is not his wife Cynthia. It’s a photograph from a wedding that they attended, or maybe a photoshop. They got married at a registry in a small ceremony and she wore a two piece suit, no wedding dress and veil. I don’t believe any photos of the ceremony exist at least online. Songs good, but personality seemed to be a cross between snarky and even dependent. Responsibility maybe wore on him. Cynthia didn't like his copping out, but Ohno seemed to encourage it. Then she managed money, intruded on studio work and interfered in relationships. Why he didn't get angry and dump her is a complete mystery, and while he was sweet talking about Sean, that didn't make Sean lucky with the "mimi" school of child abuse. He did cause both his sons hearing problems and Yoko made Sean a neonatal addict.

All Im stuck with is actual history to compare the music of that time with the other music groups of that time, without the media hype, and I just dont see them being great talent.
