@@hypefinn I don't think Yoko was the sole reason why The Beatles split. I think the business matters with Klein were more to blame but I do get a sense that she is manipulative (granted, I don't know her and haven't met her) but she strikes me in that way from things I see. Anyway, I think the group were headed that way regardless. I also think had John lived they would have reunited in some way down the line again.

Man, this is dated. People of Mike Wallace's generation (WWII) couldn't understand why anyone would pick a Japanese artist over a blond -white women. If John never met Yoko, he would have left Cynthia sooner or later. At the time Yoko was on the edge of the avant-garde art scene. Where John wanted to be.

He didn't need Yoko to get into the avant garde scene, Paul McCartney was a part of it and in fact had taken John to some parties with avant garde artists. John complained about how boring they were.

100%. People tend to talk about John's relationship with Yoko as if he was a little child unable to do anything on his own. Nothing substantiates those claims, everyone uses third hand comments as evidence. Only Yoko and John knew the dynamic of their relationship.
