  • Some of the greatest innovations of the 21st century were born out of World War II. The American people rose to the occasion with a nation at war and put their talents to work supporting the war effort. Howard Lund was one of those people, working for the U.S Navy from 1940 to 1946.
With the war over and six years of experience working on ships and submarines, a Minnesota sportsman returned home to New York Mills for the next chapter. A passion for hunting and fishing drove a need to access waters to pursue fish and game. Howard had difficulty finding a quality duck boat to hunt out of, so he built one! The year was 1948, and the Lund Boat brand was born.
"Sometimes a man's hobby becomes his lifetime occupation, and in my case, it did. I just love to build boats and be around them." -Howard Lund

I have a 2008 Alaskan 2000 SS. Bought it new and keep it in almost new condition. It has been fantastic since day one. Several upgrades since 2008 with electronics and kicker etc. and I can’t imagine ever parting ways with it.

I run my dads 1965 Lund 14' in the backwaters here in WI. I also just bought a 2022 Angler 1650 for the family.

Lund boats are comfortable and reliable. My family and I purchased our first boat in 2019 from Fish and Ski Marine in Sanger Texas. It's a 2019 Lund 2025 Impact XS. I Fish crappie tournaments, and I always get compliments on it. I have it rigged for crappie, with two seats on the bow for me and my partner. I love my Lund!

I started my UA-cam channel around my 2022 SSV-18. I researched various brands and models for 3 years before making my purchase and it always just kept coming back to Lund.

I’ve always fished out of a fiberglass bass boat, I just switched to a Lund 1875 Pro V Bass and couldn’t be more excited!

Great Boats Great Story. I can especially attest to the intertwined story of every Lund Owner's life cycle from the Canadian resort boat experience to owning my own Lund. A legacy you can pass on to the next generation.

I absolutely LOVE that intro music! Every time I hear it I know I'm about to see something above and beyond! I am a little biased tho... LUND 1875 Pro-V Bass XS. Always wanted a LUND since I was a kid in da U.P. It took a while but she was worth the wait! Thanks for this video.

Hello, great question, wood free decks are dependent on the model.

I loved lund it just to bad they just sit and push mecury outboards on there boats they should have just left it open to buyers choice like it used to be or also offered better brands like evinrude etec (before they stopped producing outboards) or even offered pre rigs with suzuki or yamaha. So disappointing lund used to be about the customer and what the customer wanted but not anymore
