Chinese Ship is at Humbantota just a beginning, in the future china will deploy more assets like this near India. To counter these threats we need dedicated Electronic Attack , Cyber Attack Satellites along with advanced ground based Electronic Support system to tackle future threats. Even though India have few dual use Satellites & remote sensing satellites they are not enough .
Remote Sensing is different than Electronic Attack but there are few missions such as 'shuttle radar topographic mapper' which mapped 80% off earth and they can also do Electronic Attack. We don't know that if Indian Remote Sensing satellites can do such kind of Electronic attacks. RISAT series satellite recently deployed for Countering Chinese Yuan Wang 5 Spy Satellite.
RISAT-Series , is remote sensing satellites built by the Indian Space Research Organisation and operated by National Technical Research Organisation . It supports a spotlight mode for prolonged focus on a given geographical area that is concentrating Radar Waves at a point which can be manipulated for Electronic Jamming ( No Source).
Reusable Launch Vehicle is another important thing for Indian in this kind of situations. RLV can be used for carrying customized payloads for different kinds of mission's such as Electronic Warfare, remote Sensing , ELINT etc
Whatever India should Develop Space Born Electronic Attack, Support, Counter Counter measure systems to tackle ground/ Ship based threats & also from enemy spy Satellites
Hey Alpha, Can you make an Analysis video on Republic of Korea Army. I was studying about it for some time, it seems that South Korea has an Amazing Ground Force. According to many experts, The Logistics, Mobility & Training Quality & Effective Combat Capability of RoK Army is even better than PLA Ground Force, Russian Ground Forces, Comparable to Israeli Ground Forces & Indian Army & almost equal in Capability to US Army in most combat situations. Please Tell me what you think about it? I think that RoK Army is a good example of what Indian Army should become by 2040. A mostly Armoured & Mechanised Force backed by huge number of vehicles & focused on swift Maneuverability in Enemy Territory.

It's just a few years since Indian government started Atma -Nirbhar push and we have so many products already inducted, many are under user trials. I feel proud.

This is not Mechanisation. This is called Motorisation. Mechanisation is when Infantry is either converted to Mechanised Infantry by giving them Infantry Combat Vehicles (ICVs) i. e. BMP - II in our context or more armour is added with Tanks.
Indian army is motorised. Motorization means induction of motor vehicles, which India has had for decades. This is mechanization.
""As defined by the United States Army, mechanized infantry is distinguished from motorized infantry in that its vehicles provide a degree of armor protection and armament for use in combat, whereas motorized infantry are provided with "soft-skinned" wheeled vehicles for transportation only.[1] Most APCs and IFVs are fully tracked or are all-wheel drive vehicles (6×6 or 8×8), for mobility across rough ground. There are Armoured Divisions (under Strike Corps), Artillery Divisions, Reorganised Army Plains Infantry Divisions (RAPID) and Infantry Divisions and Mountain Divisions in the army apart from Independent Armoured Brigades.
Only Armoured Divisions, Independent Brigades and and RAPID have Mechanised Infantry Batallions. For us Mech Inf Battalion means (Infantry Combat Vehicle) ICV based fighting force. We do not have any Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) or Infantry Fighting Vehicles. For these are obsolete concepts of war fighting based on Battle Taxi concept not with Indian army anymore.
In Our Infantry and Mountain Divisions, there has always been a severe shortage of troop carrier vehicles. None of the Infantry and Mountain Divisions are self sufficient for troop carriage and have to rely on world war 2 concepts of 2nd and 3rd line transport organised from higher formation resources.
Proposal to provide additional transport inherent to the Infantry Divisions have been going on since 1947 but so far no action has taken place. Old Kraz was replaced by BEML Tatra in plains and deserts and mountain Divs were given Tata 2.5 Ton Trucks and Ashok Leyland Stallion 7.5 Ton Trucks. These were also inadequate in numbers to lift the entire division in one go. Most of third line transport is with Army Service Corps and is used for Logistics instead of troop carriers.
Infantry Batallions themselves especially in mountains has little to no transportation even today. They are walking.. Literally Infantry...
In the CI/CT ops Mine Protected vehicles (MPVs) and few light armoured Light Vehicles have been given to RR Battalions deployed in Kashmir and Assam Rifles Units in Nort East. Similar demand was raised by the Army (both RR and AR are under MoHA) for the past 25 years and finally after the Jun 2020 incident army units deployed on LAC are getting light armoured vehicles which offer some degree of protection from small arms (under 40mm calibre).
These are NOT Infantry Fighting Vehicles or Infantry Combat Vehicles meant to fight with enemy. These do not have any sufficient protection from even enemy Mortars or Medium Calibre Weapons. They are not meant for all terrains as they are NOT tracked vehicles. These are only lightly protected troop carriers nothing more.
This is called MOTORISATION of a vehicle deficient, unprotected, foot based Infantry and NOT Mechanisation which means converting foot Infantry to Infantry Combat Vehicle (which is a fighting platform itself and basis of combat).
In short... Apne Papa ko Mat Sikhao Mechanised Infantry kya hai... Humne haddiyan aise hi nahi galayeen....

Indian Army mein kitna naya BMP2 hai maloom hai ? They are in thousands. At least 50% of them are eith new or upgraded.
Right now there is a limited requirement of the TATA WhaP except in some specialized areas.
That's why limited order was placed and also to keep the production line open.
WhaP will be the backbone for IA along with FICV in coming future by 2030.
Tata, Mahindra, Kalyani, LnT are pride of India
Two more key inductions under way in future, going through testing by Army which will boast our Artillery capability in the category of mounted gun system;
1.) 105 mm gun mounted on a 4×4 vehicle

There are over 400 infantry battalions (excluding logistics, sigint, support, etc.) within the IA. Each battalion is likely over 800 troops. “Massive” mechanization is not feasible since only a small portion of troops can be fully mobilized. Infantry brigades will likely see limited percentage of troops that will be mechanized.

And these are just initial numbers which will help in fine tuning the performance from actual first 50k km use. Once that’s done, serial productions will change the game forever in next 8 years.
Tells us about the top notch strategic planning and prioritisation in MOD/Defence forces (pun intended) if they need an adversary to attack them first to ramp up required infra/equipment development/production. Similar push came after Kargil happened, now Galwan and maybe in future we will see similar skirmish in sea domain and then we will realise that we should have got enough submarines before aircraft carrier

I am a layman. You said that the problem of Indian mechanized capability was resolved for the army because of the standoff with Chinese.
Does this mean that the problem we faced was our own creation and only the problem created by Standoff could wake our people up?
That is real confusing, in this video and in many videos one thing seems to pop its ugly head again and again, that is the problem we face are our own creation and when there is sufficient trouble we can undo the roadblocks we have created for us.
That is very scary and points to huge lack of strategic capability of the civilian government.
I think by 2030 India can overtake Russia in military power if we further accelerate modernization.

Its really good news that we are inducting Indigenous armored vehicles in such a good numbers. One small fact which amazes me is that the PM's car Maybach S650 Guard has VR10 protection rating which is equivalent to STANAG 3. Which means Mercedes Maybach S650 Guard and Kalyani M4 has the same protection!!

Mechanisation would be reliant on BMP/Striker type vehicles . While in our case it is more like MRAP induction and small 4x4.
