The German Autobahn has no speed limit but you should not race on it! Obey the rules and respect other drivers. Driven by an experienced Driver -
Its good to see an old school naturally aspirated 2 liter like this with a manual. However its not as fast as some of its turbocharged competitors, it probably will still go strong in 2040 with over half million kms on the clock.
Rugineste!

Love Mazda! This car has pretty sound of engine revving...I really like these autobahn tests. It's a pity in Spain we have the 120Km/h limit....good video!!
Well, there are not cameras and police everywhere. Floor it a lot when you don't encounter them and keep waze always on. I usually break the speed limit a lot, but i am cautios.
9:06 you just love when people do that...
New Mazda 6 with manual transmission is my dream car !
my favourite car channel👍
danke :)
Manual naturally aspirated estate car built just as electric vehicles are becoming mainstream - this is truly an ‘ordinary’ future classic.
I plan to buy one in the next year or two and keep it forever ❤
Gutes Video!
Weiter so :)
My car, I love it..
Plenty fast for a gorgeous wagon/estate. Just, is It me or the wins noise was quite excessive? i have the 2002 2.0 and I was expecting the insulation to be way better
Looks like a very sporty car. And very stable on high speeds!
My favorite car
2.0L N/A engine in a 2021 car, niceeee
Mazda is the new undercover BMW - like an e34 520 oder 525i only with 4 cylinders, more modern, safe and not looking like a jerk driving it.
I like Mazda
can you do a review with the 2,5l engine?
of course, we will get this as sedan/limousine in January :)
Hello
Nice review. How is the sound proofing ot this car at speed compared with others like vw passat or even bmw 5 series? Thank you
it was normal sound proofing but engine was loud at high revs, like sports cars :)
Glad it's a manual. Here in the U.S., the manual got discontinued by around 2018. We got the turbo engine (I don't think Europe got the 2.5L turbo), but never with the manual. We also never got the combi (that's a real bummer), and never got the 2.2L turbodiesel (also ashame). Would have loved to have the wagon (combi), turbodiesel and a 6 speed manual.
Pretty sure 2017 was the last year of a manual Mazda 6, and only on the base model unfortunately. The first two years (2014-15) I believe the manual was available all the way up to the top Grand Touring, then touring and below in 2016, base in 2017...then gone😢
@@jbm0866 Nope. 2018 as well, but for the base model only. I remember because we got our facelift 2018 Mazda 6 Grand Touring that year and the manual was still available for that year, but it was the last year it would be offered. It's also mentioned on wikipedia as well. So the manual was indeed available for one year of the facelift model in the US.
The only thing I don't understand is why the driver drives this car like it's Diesel !? It is an N / A engine and needs revs to extract all the power
exact but even if the diesel does not need revs going to in the rpm releases a little more power
Well to save some mpg i drive a petrol car and i don't rev the engine until the third speed
lol at some parts i was rev at high rpm and some parts normal. not only show maximum rev driving.
Love the sound..but.. reaching 200 took ages 😮
Or like what? a camry is faster?
My mazda 3 2.2 skyactiv D is a lot faster ....
And how often do you Drive at 200kmh? It went pretty well for a 2.0 with no turbo
@@javigar133 you want an honest answer? about 1 time a month. if I decide to push it in a empty Autobahn , 200 is my mental pre-set limit to release the gas, it sounds unhealthy fast but just for a peak speed after about 25 seconds and afterwards I go back to a legal-ish speed
👌❤️
How is the real life fuel consumption of this car?
6.9L / 100 driving like your grandma, legal speeds. 7.9L / 100 is my actual conpsumption with 9000km on the odometer. lot of highways 130-150km/h
What's the rpm at 140km/h and 6th gear?
It's just around 3000rpm according to this video. Engine sound is absolutely great.
One correction...it was 3k rpm in 5 speed according to this video which is probably around 2300-2500 in 6 gear. The guy in this video used maximum power with 5 gear at 140kmh for acceleration.
140km/h @ 3300rpm in 6. gear. 2.5L motor has another transmission--->140km/h @ 2650rpm in 6. gear.
@@bob20068 3300 in 6th gear at 140kmh is pretty high. For example Honda Civic 1.8iVtec is around 3500rpm in 6th gear.I know Japanese maker optimased for less consumption those transmissions but I expected 2.0 Mazda to be just under 3k rpm at 140kmh.
@@The_Touring_Jedi Mazda cx-30 2L 150hp has 2250rpm @ 140km/h. Mazda 2 1.5L 90hp has 2100rpm @ 140km/h.
Mazda pls don't take away the manual version pls pls and pls again
is it reliable ?
Yessir
Double jealousy...Mazda 6 as a wagon (best body style imo) AND a 6 speed manual? Even though it only has the 163hp engine, I'd choose it over the 191hp 2.5 with an auto...thats also a sedan.
Diesel 2,2 are better with several litres less consumption
But they are troublesome. The petrols are far more reliable.
@@265justy yes and not
Those diesel engines are Notorious for low reliability. If you like Mazda get a manual n/a petrol and you should be fine
@@javigar133 mazda diesels are fine with reliability unless you dont servicing them as it needs
When I want a Diesel I take a cab.
They need to be rwd and with bigger engines.. :D
210kmh
A bit slow but i like it
This mazda 6 needs skyactiv x engine with 180hp or more hp it feels lethargic with skyactiv g in the video imagine carrying luggage and people
this mazda need atleast 2.5 turbo engine 250hp.. all the rest are too slow
Who cares as you have maximally 130 speed limit everywhere on the planet except for some german roads (and even those will probably be limited soon). This is a family wagon buy a light roadster if you want to have fun.
@@zsoltpapp3363 imagine 130 hp wagon fully loaded with 5 ppl and luggage you will have to thrash that engine to get even to 100 km/h which is the standard speed of bus on the highway
@@hassanbrahim8566 I have the 2.5 and have no problem wit 4 adults and a full trunk of luggage. Consumption with the car fully loaded was 7.8l/100km over 5000km
@@kotfast well it is a 2.5

Quite loud, yes
low torque
Very very very slow!
163 hp and 1500 kg of weight. If you expect more, you don't know shit about physics.
Where do you live that you need speeds of above 200 kmh so much?

Very slow....1.0 tsi 110 hp is more powerfull....
😂 shure...
Not with 1,6 tones!
if you dont constantly rev out the last few rpm than actually yes, a modern 1l turbocharged engine has similar if not little better performance in the middle revs compared to a naturally aspirated 2 liter.
the 2 liter however is much more flexible to drive, especially the mazda engines do not vibrate or rattle even at full load in top gear at very low revs. its basically a constant linear power delivery from 1000rpm up to the rev limiter. compared to the rattly turbo 3 cylinders that have all their go between 2500-4000rpm and want to be shifted a lot to stay in this range.
for everyday driving i´d still take the oldschool power delivery of the N/A 2 liter.
😂😂😂 What are you smoking..?
Lol, and It won't reach 50k miles lol
