Dear French monsieur, You have made my day. My biggest problem in making HDR, was the lack of data and the way my pictures became grainy. Thank you so very much for this tutorial! You really made me smile today :)
This is so much better than any other HDR tutorial I've seen. I had some sunrise pictures where there was still a night sky and stars, but the sunrise was burning, but when I fixed the burning light over the horizon, the dark blue night sky was ruined. I simply could not reproduce what I had seen with my eyes. The double gradient is an amazing idea. I will try this when I get home.
Kudos Serge, your 99th tutorial! Your next one will be the century mark. You have provided a wealth of information and inspiration to the world with these tutorials. Thanks!
Hi Serge, I just bought two of your courses (Lightroom & PS for photographers) and have watched some of your tutorials online. I love them, I've learned so much already! Very inspiring and I love your enthousiasm :-)
There is no wrong or right way if, in fact, that is what some are implying here; and you know who you are. I love the fact that we have choices. I love the dramatic look of HDR and the subtle look of straight out of the camera. I for one am not experienced enough to achieve the dramatic look through shooting. So I am more than willing to try this and I am happy that the tutorial was shared with us. Thank you, Serge, for all you do for your fans and customers.
I came across this a long time ago, but I need to say that I find this tutorial one of the best. Another neat thing that I can add in my photo toolbox.

Superb tutorial. An inspiration. No need to say the same thing; "This was not how it was!", and then add a ton of color. Just say; "I like colors!". :) Keep up the great work. You inspired me to do more and more in Lightroom.
Hi Serge,Thank you so much for this unbelievable tutorial ! I've been studying your videos for 18 months now and this is simply AMAZING, really useful and will change my sunset shoots forever, lol I actually sell my Landscape shots in local venues and everyone says how amazing my prints look,{ Thanks to you my friend,!} AWESOME,!!!!!
Stumbled upon this feature a few days ago, but couldn't figure it out quickly. Now I get it. Thanks for this video. Another useful trick under my belt! :-)
Wooow, amazing result! Thank you sooo much for sharing this amazing tip! This was my very first tutorial I've done with your knowledge, instant subscriber! Looking forward exploring more of your videos. Have a great day!
I like this tutorial. I have been using this merge to 32 bit for some time. One suggestion to speed up and simplify workflow. When selecting to merge, check the box that says "STACK WITH OTHER IMAGES" this will directly reopen the file back into lightroom after the merge.
This was a Very good tutorial. As someone who's just starting to learn about it and become more of a hobbiest, this was very helpful. A little fast at times but I got it. Thank you for this!
Great tutorial, thanks a lot man. You should come to southern portugal or spain, you get amazing and very strong sunsets this time of the year with the mixture of orange, yellow and purple skies
Thank you so much monsieur Ramelli, i´ve enjoyed all you videos, tutorials and tips. Thank you so much for spreading your knowledge. Great spirit they are the ones that share their knowledge!!!
Thanks for you like. I hate down loads, itsto hard to keep up with. Bought them before but some how lose them when you get a new computer. Besides I’d like the watch on tv
That was great, thank you. I thought I had HDR pretty much down but I learnt a lot there. I have all the software except for the lightroom raw import update I need to do.
Hello Serge, I love your tutorials...thank you so much. I seem to have lost a 5 pic 32 bit HDR photo trying to close and save to light room.....I don't know where it went LOL..... I didn't get the option to pick light room... If I had a suggestion, it would be to slow down a little when picking menu items and emphisize verbally so it would be easier to go back and find as a reference. I know all this is probably covered in a previous tutorial. Thanks again so much! Kelly
Brilliant tutorial! All these tutorials are very helpful thank you. If I wanted to apply an ultra high dynamic range to a timelapse, how would I go about the workflow? Is there a way to apply the first finished edit to the rest of the images?
I found this method by accident some time ago. I've been using it ever since. I like it way better than the tone-mapping-in-HDR-software method, which makes it hard to get an attractive realistic-looking photo.
Hi Serge, it is an excellent tutorial about HDR. I have a question, when you are going to export your photo, which is the best setting to save it without loosing quality?... ( please look in Image Sizing - how many pixels and how many pixels per inch) you recommend. thanks for your time. Regards.
Personally, I enjoy these extreme color and contrast editing. I think that's part of the artistic choice made by the photographer. Whether or not it's "realistic" isn't so relevant.
dear Sir, great tutorial , i have two questions 1. what if we don`t do corrections in our basic 3 raw files as you do before merging 32 bit file. we can also do exposer correction later in 32 bit. so what would be the difference in results ? 2. while doing bracketing shoot, my Iso and aperture is fixed as per need and whats the best option for shutter - to set at manual mode as per our basic exposer or put it on auto. As auto bracketing will take three shots by itself too either way. what would be the difference and where to used what setting ? thanks
Hi, great walkthrough- I have a question about high volume workflows. I shoot real estate HDR, and I'm on a mission to find a workflow that will automatically group and merge my 3-shot bracketed exposures into the .DNGs. I'll leave a house with a couple hundred shots, and maybe 80 merges to do. Takes ages. Ever come across any automations for that? It'd be tricky- couldn't have any extra shots in the folder...
Great stuff, Serge. Thanks for these tips. In a "perfect world" and if you had the time, would you remove the white jet stream streak? Just curious. Thanks again for all your videos.
Thanks ! I now i can do some more with the older pictures i shot and "almost" Trown away. The "Where did i shoot from "idea gives that great Bob Ross idea. with a big tree in front . you know what i mean. Enjoyed the video. merci, salutations, Jean Denis Pays-Bas
I'm having a lot of issues with saving the file and reopening in either PS CS6 or LR3. CS6 won't parse the file when opening, and LR3 says it is corrupt or damaged. Do you have any idea what this could mean??
Thanks Serge. I really enjoyed this free one. I love HDR but I don't like what programs do to the file I want it to look like what the human eye sees. You method will allow me to do that. Thank you! Your courses are also amazing I have all of the Lightroom and full workflow courses. Learned a lot from them. I also bought some presets but I lost them do to my SSD Raid crashing. I will send an email from your site.
if i understood correctly, the tone mapping can be done either: -in the 16bit menu of hdr -in lr after saving hdr in 32bit -in camera raw after saving hdr in 32bit Are those 3 methods equivalent in terms of details, dynamic range, ect ?
Hi, thank you for this tutorial, I've just tried it out and it really is much more realistic than using Photomatix. Gives really good results and it's a technique I will using more often for HDR.
Indeed, this is way too better. Photomatix gives me a "ugly" results that doesn't look realistic. You can try also Oloneo photoengine, it's a really good program for natural HDR photos.
Hey, I love your video, but here I got a problem. I merged the 3 photos in the photoshop and saved it. But the photo in the lightroom looks bad, there are more yellow rather than red. Why dont I have the same result with you? Can anyone help me plz? Thanks!
My lightroom (5.7.1) have the option to merge to HDR pro in photoshop, but nothing happens when I click it. The menu closes, but photoshop doesnt open. My photoshop is Photoshop CC, newest version. Does it have to be Photoshop CS6 to work?
Thanks for this great tutorial. I`ve just tried it and unfortunately I got a problem with Lightroom 5 after creating the 32 bit file with Photoshop CC. Lightroom tells me that the created 32 bit file has the wrong bit-depth and I could not woe on it. How can I solve this issue?
I am getting this error The command "Camera Raw filter" is not currently available. helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/command-camera-raw-filter-not-available-merge-hdr-pro.html

Fantastic video Serge. Just love your work.
This was the best tip so far, very usable! Great work Serge!
I was doing something similar while learning HDR the past year! This video gave me allot of confidence Thank you
ugh...i thought Lightroom and Lightroom only, then it was opened by photoshop!
I LOVED THE TUTORIAL THOUGH! AMAZING WORK

Thank you!! This was so helpful and a lot easier(with better results) than every other method I've tried.
Thanks for the tutorial, Serge! :D You changed my way I process HDR photos now. You made it better and faster. :D
This is great for taking pictures of art in unusual, uneven lighting conditions.
fantastic tutorial Mon ami! Très bien!!!
Great tutorials. I bought and watched your iTunes tutorials. Excellent - highly recommended.
Awesome as always! Thank you so much, Serge!

The Blue Yeti mic doesn't work facing straight at you. Sideways works much better. Just a tip

Absolutely amazing tutorial!!
Hello Serge. Would be great to see the same method with the new Sony A7RIII and the Pixel Shift Multi Shot. Cheers
Thanks for this tutorial i will try this for sure!
Serge you're the best.
I'm having a lot of issues with saving the file and reopening in either PS CS6 or LR3. CS6 won't parse the file when opening, and LR3 says it is corrupt or damaged. Do you have any idea what this could mean??
question my LR 5.6 could not open a 32-bit file. Please advise. In LR preferences there was no 32-bit, only 8, & 16-bit.. please advise..
Loved it! Thanks for the tip man.
Great work, helped me with making a wedding car HDR. Thanks *****
Excellent ! It was useful for me. Merci !

hi. how do u take picture with the eyes of yours which is not on the viewfinder of the camera opened?
Does this differ from using the 32 bit merge plug-in for light room from Photomatix?
if i understood correctly, the tone mapping can be done either:
-in the 16bit menu of hdr
-in lr after saving hdr in 32bit
-in camera raw after saving hdr in 32bit
Are those 3 methods equivalent in terms of details, dynamic range, ect ?

You can try also Oloneo photoengine, it's a really good program for natural HDR photos.
Sir your work is incredible and i am so blessed to have found you. how can we incoporate this in portrat?
I have tons of video on that on my channel, check it out!
Simple and easy to apply. Thanks
Hi Serge would you teach me how edit the milky way? Thanks.
I learned a lot from this video. Merci beaucoup!
Great tutorial!
how do i open the file into lightroom after it goes through camera RAW? im having problems saving tiff file into a jpeg after im finished.
Sensacional,me ajudou muito,adorei a video aula!!!!!!
Are there any differences between using Photoshop or the Photomatix plugin to generate the 32-bit HDR file?
Hey, I love your video, but here I got a problem. I merged the 3 photos in the photoshop and saved it. But the photo in the lightroom looks bad, there are more yellow rather than red. Why dont I have the same result with you? Can anyone help me plz? Thanks!
Thank you for the video, but why would you free-transform a photo and loose proper standard proportions even for pano?
I want to ask how to remove the white edge between sky and building
I'm following you as you go through it, and when you right click to merge them in Photoshop, it doesn't do that on mine, why?!
Mr. Serge - Why do you put a gradient on the sky before you send the images to the HDR merge? Thanks
I am getting this error
The command "Camera Raw filter" is not currently available.
helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/command-camera-raw-filter-not-available-merge-hdr-pro.html
Is it possible to do this with Apple Aperture instead?
Hi, when I save in 32 bit then after I can't open it Lightroom 5. Why is that?
what is better method ? : LRenfuse, or this one ? or are these method equal??
***** why my lightroom doesn't have "shade" exposure profile? There is only Auto and other 2
