I have been following your channel for over 8 years. You have helped me a lot in understanding how to photograph but also how to edit. At the end of September I will be in Paris for a week and I can't wait to photograph in your city. A big thank you. Greetings from Greece.
Many thanks for your kind comment, a lot of videos are coming soon! And have fun in Paris! By the way, what is the number one thing you would like to learn on photography and retouching? I will make a video about it :)
@@SergeRamelliPhotography You may laugh, but the best thing I learned is how to do correct replace the sky. And I don't mean the automated (sky replacement) photoshop system
First time watching your tutorial and loved it. I am from the state of Nebraska in the US and I have had the privilege of visiting Arles France and loved it.
Serge, I don't know how I would have even begun to master LR without your excellent videos. Well done, and thanks for posting them. I always find there's more to learn from you every time I view one. Thanks again.
.. the moment when you "turned on" the lights was the highlight of this tutorial. i saw you moving the sliders all the way up and i couldn't figure what you were aiming for and when you turned them "on" i was like - watda***. i know this has been published two years ago but thank you for all your tutorials .... you have helped many people ...
Beautiful!! It really came back to life!! Great job. You only forgot the first light at the left but i think you only realize that after having seeing the tutorial. Love the result!
Great! I've also had some photos that came out so dull, and couldn't believe it was so different than what I saw in person. This tutorial helps so much. And yes, Paris is beautiful!
I love this guy he's so cool...! Crazy dude....! Sh.... I sold my Nikon last week now I don't have a camera to take photos with :-( But...... Have I have faith & I know that soon I will be back with something nice to take picks with and try all these awesome tricks and stuff that are on this amazing channel. Thanks Monsieur for your inspiration. ! :-)
hello Serge, I love your tutorials, you gave me many new ideas on how to edit my photos. I visited Paris last week and man... toke some incredible shots of the monuments and buildings. Really liked the City, and I also visited Château de Versailles, to bad the flowers wear not blooming this time a year, non the less it was incredible to witness. In my mind the only downside to Paris is the small rooms, big prices and I had an uneasy feeling walking around with my camera around my neck. I saw a lot of people out to scam you with all sorts of different trikes all around the main tourist attractions. I don't know if they wanted to steal my gear or my money but it gave me that sensation, especially in the north of the City, at Sacré-Cœur. That was my first stop and I was to afraid to take my camera out so I just watched the incredible View of Paris with my eyes :). Anyway it was a good vacation and I managed to take some great shots.
Thanks so much for your tutorials! I'm studying in Paris right now and I've recently got more into photo editing so its cool to see photos of Paris being edited which is for the most part what I take pictures of :)
That was an EPIC tutorial! Thank you! I loved the way you put the lights on! I can't believe it's so simple! You've answered a question I've always wondered about! hahaha
Always interesting and most enjoyable Serge, I look forward to your tutorials every week. Was going to try and contact you last time I was in Paris (a month ago) but chickened out at the last moment. Marked the location of your studio on the map, perhaps one day.... Keep it up and thanks again.
New aspiring photographer. First video I've watched of yours. I'm subbing. I love your delivery. Quick, concise, and to the point. You can always pause and play back video if it goes to fast. My OCD for detail makes me have to point out that the only light you didn't hit to "turn them on" is the biggest one in the foreground. lol! I'm looking forward to exploring more of your videos. Thank you!
It's a matter of taste, how much saturation you want in your photo. I think this video is awesome for different reasons, it is funny, and one can feel your passion for photography. Also, it shows a quick way to edit a landscape photo only using Lightroom. I particularly like your usage of the adjustment brushes! Thank you very much for this excellent video. I’ve just re-edited and hence vastly improved some shots thanks to your tips!
Serge, Thank you for your tutorials.. You explain very well what you are doing.. I still have much to learn with lightroom but you def make it easier.. I must get to Paris some day. I want to learn how to timelapse & hyperlapse.. what is the best way to create a timelapse? And which programs?
Great tutorial Serge, I'm shooting with an Sony a57 and a6000 in raw mode as well to get the most information available. I watch your tutorials to try and recreate my own works of art, but cannot find the different white balance settings that I see you use. I'm fairly new to Lightroom and may not be looking in the right area or may not have selected the right thing. I'm only seeing "As Shot", Auto, and Custom under my WB tab. Any suggestions?
Wow English is not your first language but you make so much more sense than many tutorials done in the US!

Really enjoyed the flow....now if I can remember it
No doubt about this man's skills with the camera and in post-processing. The results however are as kitsch as it gets.
How do you mask the sky behind the bridge when using gradient tool to preserve shadows?

Bon anniversaire cher ami,je te souhaite le meilleur pour toi et toute la famille.
Good one. What you are really doing is bringing a photo TO life rather than bringing it BACK!
Okay, this is awesome! Sometimes, UA-cam ads are very useful :O
Have u ever used canon dpp4? I just tried it vs. Lightroom 5 and was surprised by how much better the raw conversion on dpp 4 was.
