New title for the video : Local furry fae youtuber discovers violence (and becomes a gnome??) The video was honestly amazing !! The story-telling is so good and smooth, you're really feel hyped watching everything unfold it's incredible !! You can really feel your love for this event and those people
I think what's so amazing about this is seeing others who met you in the comment section, reaching out even after it's over because they saw you and are like, "oh hey! It's you! And look, thats me there!" So damn cool!
It was really fun seeing you at bico. My kids and I have been fans of your channel for a while and were hoping to see you when you said you would be attending this year. You made their day when you took time to talk to them when they saw you while they were out exploring. As for me, I didn't get much time to talk to you when I saw you, I'm that dead guy on the battle field who recognized you when we were fighting down by the creek 😂 We hope to see you again next year.
Oh my gosh yes I remember you! It was absolutely wonderful to meet you and your family. They absolutely brighten my day and were so sweet when they "Welcomed me to the land of Etho"
We didn't get a lot of footage of our battle gear for our guild, so I really appreciate the clips you added of us at 21:12 and 23:42 (Rainbow Plumes) it made our day!

Mosh, you were absolute amazing! Your speeches honestly made me laugh so much during editing and I wouldn't of changed a thing. Thank you so much for encouraging us to be confident on and off the battle field and also to remember to have fun in this silly little game of pretend. I know all of us in Nova could not of asked for a better guild leader 💙
Over the course of the entire event, several hundred pictures were taken by official photographers. You were the only one to capture me, in the red tunic and helmet at 21:27 beside Harlow the Fae monster and Colson, one of the military leaders of Twilight Dawn to the left. Thanks a bunch from yours truly, Arch Typonis.
As someone who also watched Momo O’Brian’s Bico video back in 2019 and yearns to go someday, I hope she sees this video. Something tells me it would mean a lot to her. Sending love also from Australia! P.S. Just imagined the concept of a local bookbinder in Bico. If Trix comes back with these tools of the trade, it would be a wild time to see what she could make for Nova!
Oh! I remember seeing your video about the leather armor and wondering when this was-- excited to see that you were able to go (and killed it in your armor too!)
This is an absolutely beautiful video and it captured so much of the beauty and community that The Voyage North and Bico brings to people's lives! Thank you so much for making this and sharing it with all of us!

Every time I see a Bicolline video it makes me really want to go! (Yes, I have adult money and could theoretically go, but Quebec is very far away from Australia and I'm autistic so I don't know how I'd go camping)
Ahhh this was so great to watch! Seriously best week of my life 😭 I was in Ordo Cervi so it’s super cool to get to see another guild’s perspective on this. Can’t wait till next year, also thanks for saying hi to me there hehe, made my day 💗 🦊
Honestly I really needed to see this video. I’m get so scared sometimes that once I turn 18 all the fun stuff and things I enjoy won’t be there anymore, but getting to see stuff like this really makes me feel excited to be an adult. I hope you do another video like this next year and thank you for posting
Oh sweety that isn't northern Quebec, if you look at how far north Quebec goes being close to Quebec City/Trois Riveres is not north. But aside from that, super excited that you had a great time. I had no idea that Larping was this big in Quebec
Nice video. You don’t need to go with TVN to go to bico. I was also there this year and drove up from the DC area and stayed in non-decorum all week. The total cost at bico for me was about $600 USD. This didn’t include hotels on the way up and back but that varies depending upon one’s travel plans. One bit of advice is if you don’t already know people at bico that you’ll need to be a bit more extroverted to meet people. I ended up becoming friends with two guilds by just walking around and talking to people.
Was on the fence about this as well since TVN doesn't have prices explicitly listed...driving doesn't bother me but if it's comparable price wise after gas, lodging etc it seems easier to have it planned out 🤔
God that sounds like so much fun! I dont like telling people this because when i say it aloud it just sounds stupid and all, but I have a hollow metal stick that i twirl, dance with, imaginary fight with, and play with like a sword- and I'm 16. Im afraid when I tell people, they'll give me a smirk or a weird glance and basically imply its childish. But its amazing, and honestly its the perfect way for me to express myself and scratch that artists itch i cant get to any other way. Im terrible at drawing, or any physical art really, have an iffy singing voice, and still struggle to play my saxophone after 4 and a half years. But when i go outside, grab my stick, and start walking myself through epic stories in my backyard, I feel so free. I wish I could share that experience, I wish I could larp with other people, i wish people would look at me spin my stick like a sword and think "damn that was smooth, lets duel" instead of "damn, she still watches cartoons, doesnt she." Great video Jess, thanks :)
Very well said! If it makes you feel any better, I'm 21 and I still go out and battle with a couple of my friends too! Hell, we ended up picking up lightsabers and Star Wars cosplays and started learning the choreography to all the best duels from the prequel trilogy, and we practice right in the middle of our local park. A lot people actually get into it, surprisingly! I've never gotten the chance to go to a LARP, but this place is DEFINITELY on my radar and I hope to go within the next couple years. One thing I love about people who do this stuff is that they're always so unapologetically themselves. I hope you get the chance to go out there sometime as well. Who knows? Maybe we'll cross paths sometime or join the same guild! Should that ever be the case, I'd be happy to duel you!
@@flatstheflounder2884 thank you! I would absolutely love that. It sounds like you have some cool friends, swordfighting in jedi robes as Duel of the Fates plays in the background unironically sounds like an amazing experience! :)
@@claudiacat4249 Absolutely! I'm the one who learned Darth Maul's part too, so I was VERY much enjoying that! Hahaha. Any idea what kind of character you'd want to LARP as?
@@flatstheflounder2884 thats a hard decision, there are so many good options! I mean, i already say "Hello there." in a british accent as my go-to greeting, so im halfway there.
@@claudiacat4249 Hahaha yeah, that would be pretty cool! I'm thinking more along the lines of some sort of OC for something like this. I'm working on a ranger character with attire loosely inspired by Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings. Haven't worked out his name or much else, but he used to be a well-respected knight of some faraway kingdom. After discovering corruption within the high ranking officials, he confronted the King with his find. Rather than face the problem head-on, the King chose to turn a blind eye and had the ranger exiled. Now, he serves a better purpose, wandering from place to place and keeping the roads and forests safe for the freefolk of the world. I'm thinking of calling him Galen, both because I find the name to work pretty well, and sort of as a nod to Galen Marek (Starkiller) because I'm a Star Wars fan hahaha. Not sure about a surname just yet but something with meaning of course!
It's honestly just a big ol' sleep-away camp for adults :'D Lol so glad you were able to finally afford to go! I'm 36, have known about Bicolline since I started LARPing in my teens, and I live in Ontario... STILL can't afford to go. 😆😆I live through videos like these, thank you so much for making this!
The whole video is amazing but I'm mainly focusing on how well those ears match your hair, great job at that! If you don't mind me asking, did you get them online or at the larp gear stores?
You are so right; facilitating others' character moments is one of the most valuable LARP skills you can cultivate. You seem to be off to a very good start in the hobby, and I hope you continue to pursue it!
This looks like an absolute blast and it's an extra joy going through the comments and seeing so many people you met sending love in the comments. Hope I can join in the fun some time in the future
Really a great video, it shows the really nice vibes from bico and it makes you feel to be in bico again (time to cry and wait for the next grande bataille). Seeing the gnomes night on almost the final part of the video brought a smile. Gnomes united strong and also ____ the moon!!! okay no.- Darien Ordo Cervi
Love this! We had a very similar background to going to Bico for the first time. First heard of it through Momo but was too broke until a few years ago. My first year was 1022 (The Great Flood year). Also my first time leaving the country as an adult. I also went alone. Went with TVN and was in Nova Vitae! Went back this year with a non-TVN affiliated guild but watching this reignited my Bico blues and nostalgia for my first year😝 Awesome seeing more and more people come to Bico. It’s really a magical place.
Ive loved the thought of doing a larp for a long lomg time. Love seeing the videos/stories from them. One day ill get there. Even if its not now (sadly i dont have one near near to me)
Dang it Jess, I don't need another large annual event in another country to drain my wallet! But fr, this reminds me a ton of Liquicty Festival in July. From the flying into the airport (where it was pretty obvious who was there for the fest) to the random friends you pick up in an instant and the dedication from every single person who are there for a shared love of something. It really is a beautiful thing :)
Serious question that I have always wondered about events like this: What is the bathroom and shower situation like? Do they have buildings on site with restrooms and showers like you would with an actual summer camp? And what about accommodations for those with disabilities? Do people bring their kids, and, if so, is there child care so that they can leave them at home”ye olde day care” and head off to battle?
With The Voyage North (TVN) it is 21+. I did also see a bunch of little kids running around with tiny game daggers and muderous intent. I don't know if there is any available childcare, unfortunately.
There are showers and bathrooms, but they can be a bit of a hike depending on where your camp is. I would say that unfortunately this trip is not very accessible to someone with a physical disability. Even taking things slowly and at a low key pace, it's a very physically demanding time. Gravel and dirt roads, lots of hills and minimal lighting at night
You were a great player and a pleasure to meet! So delighted to see your experience in this video. Wait. You put the corpse outside MY cabin! Not Jordan’s!!! 😮😮😮
6:41 i love how people feel the need to justify that kind of stuff to repel the acusations of being a furry- like.. 10 years ago girls were using animal ears as a fashion piece with no worries, you're FIIINE
This event looks so awesome. i once went to a smaller event, and my issue mainly was that alot of people were suffering from main charachter syndrome. Which then really killed the vibe in my opinion. Maybe one day i will fly all the way over there to join because it looks so cozy and fun ✨
Hey! I've watched your video and it makes me want sooo much to play one day there! Awesome video and I am excited to see your new reports about this awesome larp! :3
This event is so awesome! It's simply heartwarming to see people just having fun without a fear that someone will think badly about them. I wish I could go to such event myself, but unfortunately I'm still in high school and in my country there are no fun stuff like that
Firstly, I love your video. This looks like SUCH a fun event. But also, secondly, you look SO much like someone I used to go to school with (in FL). I don't think it was you, but I'd genuinely be surprised if you aren't related. Shoutout to your lookalike and possibly cousin or something lol, her name is Bailey
I was a cartographer as well at ReckoningLarp this year and I did the exact same thing! Yelling "Maps for sale!! Maps for sale", breaking into an exclusive masquerade or just hiking around camps. Glad it's a common tactic amidst mapmakers
I really wanted to go this year! I live a few hours away! But sadly none of my friends were available to go this year and I don’t have a car. Will try to go next year! Maybe we’ll cross paths there!

man hearing roll the old chariot along multiple times, beautiful, easily my favorite shanty
It's honestly just a big ol' sleep-away camp for adults :'D
Lol so glad you were able to finally afford to go! I'm 36, have known about Bicolline since I started LARPing in my teens, and I live in Ontario... STILL can't afford to go. 😆😆I live through videos like these, thank you so much for making this!
Sounds amazing!
The whole video is amazing but I'm mainly focusing on how well those ears match your hair, great job at that! If you don't mind me asking, did you get them online or at the larp gear stores?
Thank you so much! I made them myself using a tutorial from Kinpatsu Cosplay
This is amazing, thank you so much for sharing a piece of what you've experienced. Amazing story
Yesss! What a good video! I would love to meet you next year and collaborate on videos!
Love this! We had a very similar background to going to Bico for the first time. First heard of it through Momo but was too broke until a few years ago.
My first year was 1022 (The Great Flood year). Also my first time leaving the country as an adult. I also went alone. Went with TVN and was in Nova Vitae! Went back this year with a non-TVN affiliated guild but watching this reignited my Bico blues and nostalgia for my first year😝
Awesome seeing more and more people come to Bico. It’s really a magical place.
Ive loved the thought of doing a larp for a long lomg time. Love seeing the videos/stories from them. One day ill get there. Even if its not now (sadly i dont have one near near to me)
This was such a fun week! I can't wait to see everyone again next year!
Thank you for this content. Please be careful with the storm coming!
Woo! Glad to see all our fun times in here!
Awesome video, glad to see the week put together perfectly. Miss it already ❤️🗡️🧚
Jaakko here, thanks for posting, i'm only in it for a moment but still enjoy seeing everyone i spent a week with
This is officially my new motivation for getting money!!! 💰
Fav comfort UA-camr 😊
You were a great player and a pleasure to meet! So delighted to see your experience in this video. Wait. You put the corpse outside MY cabin! Not Jordan’s!!! 😮😮😮
Ahhh this looked so fun! I'm so glad you had so much fun with this !!
Just what I needed, recently got into Larp, so this was perfect timing.
i just signed up for TVN next year, i'm beyond excited!
We saw you and yours doing a great job, so congrats on your wonderful video - and on your great week. (Gen Asher Fells, Lys Noir, your neighbors)
The sca has events there and I whent to one (it was lowkey miserable because ofcourse ut rained all weekend) and its beautiful
I'm so looking into this 🥰 maybe I'll see you there 😄 I'm so glad you had a great time 😁
This is so cool, im glad you had fun ^^
Awesome to pick out a few buddies in the backgrounds of the video, good work and good luck!
That sounds Amazing ! Now i know an excuse to travel in North America
Love your videos. Huge fan
This looks soo fun when i get older i want me and my friends to visit their to have amazing time ‼️❤
This event is so awesome!
Shoutout to your lookalike and possibly cousin or something lol, her name is Bailey
omg!!! Fellow Florida nerd!! huzzah!!! Loved watching this! Thanks for sharing your experience with us :)
Yay! Thanks for posting videos of the knighting ceremony, I thought there weren’t any pictures
I love fantasy so much I want to go and do one of these so bad I think I'm going to make it a life goal to do one of these cuz it looks so fun!
I’m in high school and I wanna do this SO BAD!!!!!
I've been so curious about Bicolline for a bit, and between one of my friends having gone and this video, I've decided I'm going to commit to going in 2025. It looks like so much fun !!!!
I live in Quebec city and never heard of it whaaaat?!😭❤️🩹
I can't wait until the year I can go to Bicoline, until then I'll just stick to my local once a month larp game, which is SO MUCH FUN.
NO WAY how did i not know this existed? I live close to Quebec!! 😲 new dream trip
Watching this from Saskatchewan, I never knew this existed.
I swear if this place ever shuts down due to any reasons before I begin to consider to participate my mental health will plummet to the ground
Omg I'm the broke university student rn looking at this so inspired--- I know what I'll spend my adult money on now as soon as I have it
hmmm I am tempted to save up to Get everyone in my dnd group a ticket to this
Your the best but i was wondering when you are going to drop your next video this one was awesome 😎
