Thank u Doc...its very true.. I started intermittent fasting a year n half before. I have not been getting my periods for the last 10 years. I was completely on pills, due to which I gained a lot of weight due to pcod and bit difficulty with my pregnancy too. I decided to do IF n had cut down sugar n maida, too. It worked wonders. Thank you Dr Pal! After doing IF, actually my cravings before cycle has completely disappeared. Wish I had known this eating pattern before. IF has saved me from eating all junk food n switched to clean eating without any effort 😊
I'm so glad Dr. Pal made this video. This actually takes the pressure off for a woman to be eat/fast perfectly every single day. Listening to the body helps and also controls from over indulging or having backfire from resisting too hard. IF has really helped stabilize blood sugars and regulate cycles. And best part is it is a habit now, not like a diet that crashes in 2 weeks. I thank you sincerely for your videos. They help a lot!

Thanks for this video and everything in this series Dr. Pal. This explains a lot of things scientifically. My husband and I started our intermittent fasting journey together while I was close to my luteal phase. I was finding it difficult to keep up the fasting window and kept saying I was hungry for 3 weeks and my husband wanted me checked with a doctor since he thought I had some bad bacteria in my gut. Now, we know this might be normal after all. Had him watch this video as well.

Just wanted to mention that i as a jain have been taught fasting and not eating in the night or as we call it ratri bhojan tyaag right from the ripe age of 4 which is quite common in jain house holds. Every year lakhs of jains do 1-2 to 8 and even 31 days of continuous fasting and the oldies especially follow ratri bhojan tyaag. Then I will have black coffee without sugar and milk and only water for 4 hrs and eat full at 4 pm , whatever I cooked, rice dal veggies and then at 6 I will drink coffee or tea with spoon sugar or black coffee, based on my stress. And stop eating anything after 7. Only water preferably warm . Then next day 11am . My main problem is constipation. Wow finally an explanation as to why I crave sweets and eat a lot 1-2 days before my period but during my period I can go the whole day without food. I don’t even feel hungry at that time. Thank you for this explanation.
IF worked well. 12-16 hours fasting period everyday.. I reduced my weight 5kgs over the period of 8 months… It’s amazing Dr.Pal …
I got my MC every month without pills and also started losing weight.
If I had knw abt u earlier I would have followed this earlier. Nowadays wen i meet any lady with pcod, I immediately suggest tis but was not sure whether this really has helped or it just worked for me but after watching ur video I am full on bang on this.
Thanks a ton for sharing such useful information. There are a lot of ladies who are still not aware abt it.
Pls be sharing useful videos...
Excellent content sir. I do 16:8 fast regularly. It has become my life style. But now I understood why I am unable to do so in those days of the month. Thank you very much for the valuable information Dr. Pal
I was 95 KG , now I am 77 KG.
Started with 16 hour intermittent fasting, then extended it to 3 days water fast. Thank you Dr Pal.
I feel very tired just few days before periods starts. I thought it's something else but now you have explained it very clearly. Thanks doc
Thanks
Menstrual Cycle
Day 1 to 10: 16 hr fasting
Day 10 to 20: 14 hr fasting
Day 20 to 28: 12-13 hr fasting

I usually get cravings during periods (1 to 5) days of the cycle. The ladies have to agree with me that the chocolates and ice cream helps to ease those menstrual cramps 😊
I do agree
Agree.I thought we should never fast on periods days

Yes same here
Ya true. I too crave sweets during periods. But they tell me not to have sweets then.

Please make a video for older women in post menopause phase of life. Thank you for all your videos so far.
Dear Dr. Pal..A small donation given to your Trust on the occasion of my daughter's birthday. Thank you, God bless You😍🙏🏻
I'm so glad Dr.

Thanks doc, that you make us to understand our body conditions. Even hereafter, if I crave for sugars, I can make myself clear that it's the mischievous progesterone that does it. 😂
😊
Thank you for being so precise. Dietitian simply says do 16:8 fasting but this week it has been quite hard. Now I get it
I am from Andhra Pradesh, India and you are doing a great work ❤. It's a boon for us that you are on UA-cam
Very true doctor especially we get sweets cravings. Thanks for this awesome enlightening video. Before menstrual periods it is bit difficult and we were waiting for this video for a long time thanks doctor
Please give menopausal women a good fasting cycle for their health too. Thank you! As a post menopausal woman my hormonal balance is so jumbled up and no matter how much I’ve tried various healthy changes in diet and in intermittent fasting, I don’t seem to achieve much. Thank you in advance.🙏🏼

Thanks you sir it is so comforting to hear your speech about hormonal cravings which is absolutely what most womèn experience. I usually do 16 hour fasting with ease on my normal days but cannot even follow 10 hrs fasting during the last phase of my cycle .From now on will follow your advice . Could you pllease do a video to overcome perimenopausal signs and symptoms for women over 40.Thanks again
This is absolutely amazing, Dr. Pal. I always tell myself that every month I will do fitness as soon my fourth day period is over. Where I am fully energetic and I do jogging, dance, fitness, diet. Then slowly kazhudha thenju katterumbu aagidum. I used to feel why I am not able to stick to one routine properly.
And this video blew me away. It make absolute sense.
And now I can mindfully plan my diet routine.
Thank you Dr. Pal.
Hey Pal, I just love all your videos that helped my husband reversing his fatty liver. I am also undergoing fasting with him and I feel emergetic😁 A big thanks for making an awareness towards all critical health issues. Best wishes🎉
Dr. Pal, Finally you answered to my confusions. I m 40 yr old lady and is over weight. I was gaining weight abnormally. So instarted fasting for 16hr fasting. I was able to manage a week but I was feeling fatigue. Still trying hard to maintain the fasting window. Thank you for the knowledge shared.
Protect this doctor at all costs🙏🏻
Doctor, this video is so informative. You are so cool.
I had a very controlled no sugar no junk diet, Entire 3 weeks with 14 hours fasting , but my 4th week - just When menstruation started.. I had so much junk food craving , which I ate and later was so guilty that I do not have self discipline. Now I understood why is it so difficult to resist during menstruation week. Thank you ❤
Such a thoughtful video. Very generous of you, Dr. 🙏💐
Love. Love this. I didn't know about this before. I did intermittent fasting and I was tracking my period using an app. My cravings was exactly as you said. It was easy to do fasting in the beginning of the cycle and hard by the end of the cycle. I was thinking that there maybe some correlation and I got your video suggestion. You are doing a wonderful job in helping our community improve our health. So much love and respect to you Sir ❤
Please do a video for women above 50 years who have reached menopause life what and how should the fasting window be
Exactly my question
Thank you so much , till now i dont know about that why i get cravings more before 1 week of cycle as i am 33 years old, i consult 5 gynaecologists, they never say about this. Like a family member you share this all to women , kudos to you sir. Stay blessed always🎉
God bless you . Thank you for your unconditional love and support for your viewers. Your video was an eye opener.
Very good explanation. Thank you! What about women who have entered menopause, either naturally or surgically (hysterectomy+bilateral oophorectomy)? Could you please talk about the right way to do intermittent fasting in menopausal women? The dos and don’t?
Love the way you explain things with analogies and in a jovial way…removes the tedium and fear and makes us more receptive…great job, doctor!
Pls advise for menopause women
Yes please! Apart from that, what’s with ladies with irregular cycles like it just starts whenever & randomly? How to manage IF in them?
Thank you so much Dr. Pal, i was feeling so guilty as I was on my intermittent fasting period and ate maggi and chocolate yesterday night.. i literally cried, why I behave insanely before my periods, I just want to stuff myself up. But now I am feeling okay, like normal. Thank you
Recently started intermittent fasting after watching Dr Pal Video. I have reduced 3 kg without any exercise. Thank you very much Pal for your wonderful informative videos. Your videos are changing our eating habit and lifestyle... Continue your great work which helping many people 🎉
how long it took you to loose 3 kg?
@@yourwish-e5k Around 10 to 15 days
Thanks Dr Pal. Exactly what I needed today! Trying to plan a few 24-hour fasting days every month.
Dr. Pal, you are a gift to your audience and patients. Thank you for all that you do for us and your generosity in curing and helping people. As a teacher, I can tell that you are an excellent teacher who is brilliant at explaining technical medical terms in layman terms. I am not sure if you already have a video on the relationship between high body fat percentage, hypothyroidism and estrogen dominance. I am really hoping that you could give us some insight on how to lose weight and eat right to manage hypothyroidism and high estrogen levels due to high body fat percentage.
I would like to understand this as well please
Finally someone made a cycle based video alongside IF!! Thankyou Dr. Pal.
Dr Pal, a video on menopause will be greatly appreciated🙏 please include weight-loss, bone-density loss, fatigue issues too in that🙏
Yes
It's essential....
I vote for it.... highly needed
Thabk you Dr for this informative video...a week before my periods I dropped my 16 hours fasting and thought I lack disciple..now I understand it was because of Progesterone ! Will continue the rule of 1-10,10-20-20-28 rule u explained
i recently discovered dr pal's youtube channel and his attitude towards things and his content are a gem. I'm lucky to discover dr. pal who is guiding us towards a better life style using our own culture and not advising "multiple small meals" as advised by other doctors and nutritionist. Proud Indian and a Proud Jain
I am an orthodontist and i am inspired by ur videos and information sir. Keep going. Infact i understand everything you speak because i am a medical student 😊
Thank you doc for breaking it down to this level. I do practice intermittent fasting but I was not aware of all the detail you touched in your video. Greatly appreciate it. Again thank you very much
Ya true...I have a craving for hot dark chocolate brownie with vanilla ice-cream....and I was confused in last 5 days...before 1 week my food cycle was 6am - 6 pm... but these 5 days I have fatigueness ...in the morning I couldn't able to do workout with the energy I had before...especially today I was too lazy and tired to do it so... accidentally I saw your vedio doctor...Now I find an answer for my fatigue and tiredness... I'll keep in mind these 3 phases and fast according to that...Thank you so much...
Your way of explaining is commendable🎉
When I used to do IF .. my cycles got delayed so much that I left it😢
Also i have tiny fibroids in my uterine cavity
I tried this method along with some exercise and it helped me to connceive the same month after 2 years of waiting
Yes Cravings happens and used to have 90% dark chocolate to control. Even if I try couldn’t fast for more than 14 hrs, week before my periods.
Dr seriously you are my god 🙏 🙏
Intermittent fasting is making me wonders 😊
I'll pray God daily for your good life 🙏
No words to praise you sir 🙏
Thank you so much for your videos, I started doing 16 hours fasting, from close to 2 weeks, I don’t feel or craved to eat, I feel hungry when am 1 hr close to my time to eat , I start my day 11 am with moringa leaf tea with lemon honey and wait for 15 minutes and have my breakfast, I eat full. I try not to eat anything packed I cook and tried lot of things like oatmeal chia seeds, but still bloated.
Thank you Dr. Pal. As always, your videos have lot of vital information, simply put for a common man to understand. Can you highlight on hormonal migraines and how to handle them with intermittent fasting or any changes that can help. It’s miserable to go through hormonal migraine. Pls share your expertise. 🙏🏻
I too had but after practicing IF slowly it vanished
After watching ur video I'm aggressively waiting to meet u now i surely tell every body that we got a perfect doctor who not only precribe medicine but gives u a knowledge of ur body functions
Hi Doctor. I am a Physiotherapist and try educating ppl on metabolic disorders and intermittent Fasting benefits to get them in control along with regular exercises. Your videos are very helpful for me and my clients as well. They are very inspiring and motivating. Can you make a video on IF during Pregnancy and what is the window period and how safe is it during Pregnancy
If your covering pregnancy, I am lacatating mom, can you as well cover breastfeeding mothers to loose weight but not compromising on milk output. Thanks Dr.Pal
My menstrual cycle is in its last phase, at times I feel like having a sweet but have it now before sunset. As I have completed a fortnight of intermittent fasting successfully with exercise regimen, it is making me feel lighter from inside. Thanks a lot for making this intermittent fasting easy to follow
Day 1 and 2 of my menstruel cycle I have a lot of cravings for carbs . I don’t feel like working. I stop my daily exercises and rest on my sofa doing nothing. From day 3 everything sets back to normal. As you say from day one to day ten 16hrs of fasting is impossible for me the first two days but from day 3 it’s absolutely fine😊
I absolutely love your wealth (knowledge) which you distribute in a simple understanding way. I am addicted to his videos and his jokes in between are so funny too.
Thank you Dr. Pal. It was so easy to understand. Could you please also do a video on Peri Menopause and Menopause for us women who have hit 45 and have irregular menstrual cycle? Much thanks.

Dr Pal, you are awesome! Can you also put a video for peri-menopausal women and IF? I am currently doing 16:8 for the past month along with yoga and some bharathanatyam. I have seen huge difference and already reduced 4 lbs. But I want to make sure I am doing this right in my rhis stage of life.
Beautifully explained....just loved it....thank you doc
Thank you doc for this thoughtful message to the women out here …. I’m sure all of us are able to relate to it. Keep doing this good job and god bless your family!
Very beautifully explained Dr Pal. This explains my sweet cravings a week before the menstruation starts.

Watch Dr. Mindy, fast like a girl. Woman over 40+ is differ.
I was always wondering why do I get this sweet craving before my cycle... Got the answers in this vedio... Thank you doc... I am watching all your vedios this days..
I lost 11 kg in one month and total 14 kgs in 51 days, still few more days to complete 2 months. Started at 95 kgs and currently at 81 kg, target weight is 70kg. I am a Male, 28 and 5’10”. IF has been nothing short of a miracle. To all the people struggling to lose weight, just wanna say don’t give up and keep pushing yourself. “You feel great when you look great”
How? Wat you are?

Yes doc iam able to fast 16hours a day... I have several doubts;
1. How long should we continue 16hrs fasting? After weight loss can we reduce to 10 to 12hrs fasting?
2. Can we take thyroid tablets while intermittent fasting?
Hi Doctor, ur definitely a best doctor and a good human being ,there is a suggestion plz guide, what about menopausal women???
Thank you so much for this! Can you shed some light on the messed up circadian rhythms in teen girls, and how it could bring hormonal/metabolic imbalance? I find many young girls are unable to sleep at normal times despite practicing sleep hygiene (no devices, etc), but they are still required to wake up earlier than their bodies can handle, hence they are sleep deprived. This leads to other disruptions in the body. I experienced this myself and ended up with PCOS and other issues.
Is your pcos reduced now or got worse??
You are amazing. Very very simple and clear explanation. Thank you Doc🙏
Doc, the problem with PCOS as you know is irregular periods. Then how can we stick to this plan when the cycle isn't going to be 28 days everytime. Kindly advise
Thanks dr and i am happy to suggest u to know the sunnahs of our prophet muhammad ( sal )
Can you please tell us the kind of fasting in menopausal woman ?
As progesterone is not there, you could extend your estrogen phase fasting and listen to your body and modify accordingly
@@DrPal thanks for your response
Thank you Dr.Pal for this amazing information and answering to my question that why do I crave for junk/chocolate during luteal phase of my cycle. Although fasting for 18 hours everyday works the best for me without any major compromise or hassle except the luteal phase period. But since now I know,I will be little relaxed but mindful with food choices while IFduring this phase 😊
