Then slowly kazhudha thenju katterumbu aagidum. I used to feel why I am not able to stick to one routine properly. And this video blew me away. It make absolute sense. And now I can mindfully plan my diet routine. Thank you Dr. Pal.
Thank you so much for this! Can you shed some light on the messed up circadian rhythms in teen girls, and how it could bring hormonal/metabolic imbalance? I find many young girls are unable to sleep at normal times despite practicing sleep hygiene (no devices, etc), but they are still required to wake up earlier than their bodies can handle, hence they are sleep deprived. This leads to other disruptions in the body. I experienced this myself and ended up with PCOS and other issues.
Doctor, this video is so informative. You are so cool. I had a very controlled no sugar no junk diet, Entire 3 weeks with 14 hours fasting , but my 4th week - just When menstruation started.. I had so much junk food craving , which I ate and later was so guilty that I do not have self discipline. Now I understood why is it so difficult to resist during menstruation week. Thank you ❤
Very useful doctor. What about people who are in the process of menopause. Hard to remember different timings. May be easy to follow a medium range like 14 hours?
Doc, the problem with PCOS as you know is irregular periods. Then how can we stick to this plan when the cycle isn't going to be 28 days everytime. Kindly advise
Thank you so much. I took lot of treatments for irregular periods. I hope this intermittent fasting will help me to get rid of my problem. See you on 1st of March 2024.
Thank you,Dr! Would LOVE. To know your research on sleep cycles. I have some unruly members in my family who say that 8 hours of sleep taken anyway is ok, so I find them going to sleep at 4-5 am & sleep till 4-5 PM, wasting entire days & fighting with family over this!
We are programmed to sunlight. Our hormones too are synchronised the same way. When light falls on your eyes, melatonin shuts down and other hormones start rising..the ones which are needed for daily work. As night falls, mind you the sunlight (natural) our body readies to shut down. So it is advised not to eat post sunset. And sleep early. 9-10pm is reasonable. When you sleep, your body repairs itself from the stresses of the day. Once it's over, you will ideally automatically wake up. Some need 7 hours , some 8 of sleep. When you wake up, if you follow the circadian rhythm , you will feel refreshed.
Dr, super video. Very concise and complete version. Thank you. Can you pl talk about fasting for women who have hit menopause
Dr, kindly enlighten on fasting during perimenopause and menopause
As there is no progesterone, fast with the help of estrogen and listen to your body and tone it down when you need it intermittently.

I'm lucky to discover dr. pal who is guiding us towards a better life style using our own culture and not advising "multiple small meals" as advised by other doctors and nutritionist. Proud Indian and a Proud Jain
Thank you Dr Pal! After doing IF, actually my cravings before cycle has completely disappeared. Wish I had known this eating pattern before. IF has saved me from eating all junk food n switched to clean eating without any effort 😊
Please do a video for women above 50 years who have reached menopause life what and how should the fasting window be
Thank you so much doctor, I have been following your method for the last 2 months. The way my menstrual cycle begins like clockwork on the exact date is just magical. Thank you so much!!! I used to have acne and irregular periods and now I'm cured! More women should be doing this!!!
Did you had pcos?? My wife has pcod.. can you explain your journey to recovery??
Protect this doctor at all costs🙏🏻
I'm doing intermittent fasting regularly. I don't see such cravings on my last cycle time. I believe my will power is more powerful than any other thing. I continue my 16:8 fasting the whole cycle. It's doable.
Thanks doc, that you make us to understand our body conditions. Even hereafter, if I crave for sugars, I can make myself clear that it's the mischievous progesterone that does it. 😂
😊
Please make a video for older women in post menopause phase of life. Thank you for all your videos so far.
Thank you for being so precise. Dietitian simply says do 16:8 fasting but this week it has been quite hard. Now I get it
May Allah bless Dr. Pal and his family with the best of this life and the next, Ameen! He is 100% correct about PCOS and eating without intermittent fasting and circadian rhythm. Dr. Pal is doing good things!

Hey Pal, I just love all your videos that helped my husband reversing his fatty liver. I am also undergoing fasting with him and I feel emergetic😁 A big thanks for making an awareness towards all critical health issues. Best wishes🎉
Thanks for this video and everything in this series Dr. Pal. This explains a lot of things scientifically. My husband and I started our intermittent fasting journey together while I was close to my luteal phase. I was finding it difficult to keep up the fasting window and kept saying I was hungry for 3 weeks and my husband wanted me checked with a doctor since he thought I had some bad bacteria in my gut. Now, we know this might be normal after all. Had him watch this video as well.
Thanks you sir it is so comforting to hear your speech about hormonal cravings which is absolutely what most womèn experience. I usually do 16 hour fasting with ease on my normal days but cannot even follow 10 hrs fasting during the last phase of my cycle .From now on will follow your advice . Could you pllease do a video to overcome perimenopausal signs and symptoms for women over 40.Thanks again

Thank u Doc...its very true..
I started intermittent fasting a year n half before. I have not been getting my periods for the last 10 years. I was completely on pills, due to which I gained a lot of weight due to pcod and bit difficulty with my pregnancy too.
I decided to do IF n had cut down sugar n maida, too.
It worked wonders. I got my MC every month without pills and also started losing weight.
If I had knw abt u earlier I would have followed this earlier. Nowadays wen i meet any lady with pcod, I immediately suggest tis but was not sure whether this really has helped or it just worked for me but after watching ur video I am full on bang on this.
Thanks a ton for sharing such useful information. There are a lot of ladies who are still not aware abt it.
Pls be sharing useful videos...
Dr. Pal, you are a gift to your audience and patients. Thank you for all that you do for us and your generosity in curing and helping people. As a teacher, I can tell that you are an excellent teacher who is brilliant at explaining technical medical terms in layman terms. I am not sure if you already have a video on the relationship between high body fat percentage, hypothyroidism and estrogen dominance. I am really hoping that you could give us some insight on how to lose weight and eat right to manage hypothyroidism and high estrogen levels due to high body fat percentage.
I would like to understand this as well please
Hi Doctor. I am a Physiotherapist and try educating ppl on metabolic disorders and intermittent Fasting benefits to get them in control along with regular exercises. Your way of explaining is commendable🎉
When I used to do IF .. my cycles got delayed so much that I left it😢
Also i have tiny fibroids in my uterine cavity
Very good explanation. Thank you! What about women who have entered menopause, either naturally or surgically (hysterectomy+bilateral oophorectomy)? Could you please talk about the right way to do intermittent fasting in menopausal women? The dos and don’t?
Love the way you explain things with analogies and in a jovial way…removes the tedium and fear and makes us more receptive…great job, doctor!
Pls advise for menopause women
Yes please! Apart from that, what’s with ladies with irregular cycles like it just starts whenever & randomly? How to manage IF in them?
My menstrual cycle is in its last phase, at times I feel like having a sweet but have it now before sunset. As I have completed a fortnight of intermittent fasting successfully with exercise regimen, it is making me feel lighter from inside. Thanks a lot for making this intermittent fasting easy to follow

"The visuals and explanations in this video make it so much easier to understand the importance of a balanced and healthy lifestyle."
Thank you Dr for this video. Very helpful to understand why we have certain cravings. Is it same for women of age above 40s and 50s and could you please give the best times for fasting? Also could you please let know the best fasting patterns for women undergoing menopause stage?
Watch Dr. Mindy, fast like a girl. Woman over 40+ is differ.
Dr Pal, you are awesome! Can you also put a video for peri-menopausal women and IF? I am currently doing 16:8 for the past month along with yoga and some bharathanatyam. I have seen huge difference and already reduced 4 lbs. But I want to make sure I am doing this right in my rhis stage of life.
Beautifully explained....just loved it....thank you doc
Dear Dr. Pal..A small donation given to your Trust on the occasion of my daughter's birthday. Thank you, God bless You😍🙏🏻
Thank you Dr. Pal. As always, your videos have lot of vital information, simply put for a common man to understand. Can you highlight on hormonal migraines and how to handle them with intermittent fasting or any changes that can help. It’s miserable to go through hormonal migraine. Pls share your expertise. 🙏🏻
I too had but after practicing IF slowly it vanished
Thank you Dr. Pal. It was so easy to understand. Could you please also do a video on Peri Menopause and Menopause for us women who have hit 45 and have irregular menstrual cycle? Much thanks.
I can fast upto a good 18 hours every single day... I feel energized and so full of confidence 😊
Day 1 and 2 of my menstruel cycle I have a lot of cravings for carbs . I don’t feel like working. I stop my daily exercises and rest on my sofa doing nothing. From day 3 everything sets back to normal. As you say from day one to day ten 16hrs of fasting is impossible for me the first two days but from day 3 it’s absolutely fine😊
Yes doc iam able to fast 16hours a day... I have several doubts;
1. How long should we continue 16hrs fasting? After weight loss can we reduce to 10 to 12hrs fasting?
2. Can we take thyroid tablets while intermittent fasting?
Very beautifully explained Dr Pal. This explains my sweet cravings a week before the menstruation starts.
Appreciate the effort you put into making videos and also your energy!
Thank you doc for this thoughtful message to the women out here …. I’m sure all of us are able to relate to it. Keep doing this good job and god bless your family!

Yes.. craving happens..and I do eat dark chocolate..I notice bloating symptoms and mild weight gain by grams and it automatically comes down as long as I am consistent on my fasting window..yes..I notice this ..I go for amul dark chocolate 🍫😂 without sugar..I really don't know if it's just milk and chocolate without sugar...
I've never seen or heard anyone explain such a topic so easily and lovely.
This is absolutely amazing, Dr. Pal. I always tell myself that every month I will do fitness as soon my fourth day period is over. Where I am fully energetic and I do jogging, dance, fitness, diet.
Is your pcos reduced now or got worse??
During periods thr craving for chocolate is very high
Doctor, this video is so informative. You are so cool.
I had a very controlled no sugar no junk diet, Entire 3 weeks with 14 hours fasting , but my 4th week - just When menstruation started.. I had so much junk food craving , which I ate and later was so guilty that I do not have self discipline. Now I understood why is it so difficult to resist during menstruation week. Thank you ❤
Please do videos above 50. Who loose their periods and menopause
Dr super explanation
Menstrual cycle is 10 mark question in my OBG exam
But you explained clearly in minutes
Thank you so much. I took lot of treatments for irregular periods. I hope this intermittent fasting will help me to get rid of my problem. See you on 1st of March 2024.
Can you please tell us the kind of fasting in menopausal woman ?
As progesterone is not there, you could extend your estrogen phase fasting and listen to your body and modify accordingly
@@DrPal thanks for your response

Dr. Pal, as you very nicely and elaborately explained about fasting for women, please give some light for menopausal women what should they do?
If I do even 12 hours of fasting during my menstruation I feel dizzy and fatigued.
Yes, pls do a video on this. Thanks
What? How can they sleep from
5 am to 5 pm? How do they do work/ study ? What do they do being awake all night from 5 pm to 5 am?
But then the circadian rhythm is something else 😂
Thank u doctor. U r truly a ray of hope to the masses troubled by pcos
Summary :
Day 1 to 10 = 16 hrs of fasting
Day 11 to 20 = 14 hrs of fasting
Day 21 to 28 = 12 hrs of fasting
